as for testing the gameboy magnifer light.....most of the gameboy lights from back in the day used batteries and had a seperate on switch on them and would work without a gameboy.

What about for the gameboy itself? Do you need a game to test it? I put new batteries in and turned it on, but nothing happened. Is a light supposed to come on? Or do I just need to test it with a game? I don't have any games because he didn't include any like he said he would.

something should at least come up on the screen. i know the newer version gameboy would come up on the screen without a game in. i think on the old first one, just a black bar would come up on the screen

also, a red light would light up if it worked

Anyone know how to get the gameboy to work? or is it "If the light doesn't come on, it's gone"?
