The first one. It was just more fun to me and wasn't as kid like as the 3rd one. I think it was also harder then the others. The others are great but I just like the first one the best.

    DKC2, no doubt.

The first one had not-so-great variation in level design.

The 3rd one seemed to be trying too hard at having variety in the levels.

#2 was perfect--all of the levels felt unique. Diddy and Dixie were the best team; Donkey and Kiddy were too heavy in my opinion. I can't wait for the port of DKC2 on the GBA.

    The second all the way.

Best music. Great plot. Great locations. The original was great, but was easy. This one was a challenge. But the third did have the best features and map. Still the second wins hands down.

The only problem is they made Toxic Tower too hard. I can never beat it without a Game Genie. I don't know what I'll do when I get the GBA version later this year. I can't wait!

My vote went for DK 1. I guess because that's the one I have played the most out of the 3, and pretty much like it the most. I have all 3 DK's, but like one the most.

3 doesn't hold a candle to 1 and 2. It's a toss-up between those first two for me, but in the end I voted for the first one.

Although I've always heard 2 is the best from most people my vote goes to the first. I never had a SNES when I was younger (Genesis gogo) but I had played this game so many times at my friend's house that upon loading it in emulation I knew how to find practically every secret through the first two worlds. Was pretty surprised I was able to remember all that.

The first. I've played through it so many times. I probably know every secret in it as well. DKC3 is a close second. I didn't like DKC2 that much for some reason. 1 and 3 are a lot more fun to play to me.

I picked the first one...partly because it was the first (and we hadn't really seen anything quite like it up to that point) and again because the big ape himself was in it. While I like DKC2, I haven't finished it because one part was frustrating and I put it aside...and I won't play DKC3 until I beat #2. I guess it's time to pull it out again...

I still cannot kill that shellfish boss in DKC3 for the life of me- the one where you become the swordfish to kill.

DKC 2 all the way! Diddy & Dixie made the greatest team.

Don't you just have to poke some of the little shellfish that he shoots out so that they go flying back into him?

(I'm just guessing; I only played the B&W Game Boy version. That one actually wasn't so terrible, but there's been better. Even the first Donkey Kong Land, with its shreds of originality, was an improvement in some ways.)
