Yes, thanks for the info! Especially the pictures; they are very cool!

If you're interested, Abend, the message boards the DPCG 7 guide mentions are all about that sort of info you just posted. You may want to sign up with the group over there... we'd be glad to have you. The Yahoo! services requires (free) registration, which is the only real downside. You can find the Arcadia 2001 message boards at:

By the way, I'm assuming the EPROM in the picture is a 2716; that is (or was) a fairly common 2K chip, back in the day. My next best guess would be a 2516, which was also a 2K chip, but with a slightly different pinout.

And that PC board trace that was obviously cut is interesting, as well. Was that a factory modification, to the best of your knowledge?

Seeing that this cart you showed us is an ultra-early one, I have to ask how it compares to the one we've already archived? Is there any way you can get that cart dumped, to see if it is the same, or if maybe it is a slightly different version of the game? I'm curious, as the name is different, and that cart (IIRC) was one of the two that had a programmer's name hidden in it, with a version number of "two" in the message. Implying, of course, that a version one might exist?
