Nothing has ever come close to replicating Tecmo Bowl's fun factor. As cool as some of the modern day football games are, I couldn't care less about the player's "crib" or other dumb add-ons. I find many of the newer football games have too many options, too many buttons, too many angles and it's impossible to rush the ball. I wish Tecmo would come up with an updated version for new gen consoles. I did notice that they released one for mobile phones. Unfortunately it won't work with TMobile.

My first tecmo game was Ninja Gaiden, which I got when I first got my NES in the Christmas of '89. Still have it and love it and NG2 and 3 to this day. Tecmo Bowl never quite did it for me, but when I had tecmo Super Bowl at one point I loved that game and would play it non-stop!

I agree 100%. One of the big reason why I'll never touch a sports game ever again.
All i can say is RYGAR and the arcade version is insane. Still havent got anywhere in tha arcade version. I love them more when the work on the GameCube. It seems that they hate Nintendo now, even tho i dont think they (Tecmo) would be around without them (Nintendo) .
Yeah I don't know what their deal with Nintendo is. I don't think they even did a N64 game did they? I read an article that said the Xbox was their favorite system to develop for. The Dead or Alive 4 and the Ninja Gaiden are in development for the next Xbox.Originally Posted by xaer0knight

Tecmo did try to make a new Tecmo Bowl in 1999 and in 2001 but was unable to get the NFL and NFLPA licenceses.
I'm pretty sure they didn't do a N64 games. I remember the arcade Rygar. I could get fairly far into it but never got good enough to beat it.
Yeah the comment was something along the lines of they would have to be forced at gunpoint before they would make games for the ps2 again. I don't blame em either. they look great and sell well, whats the incentive to move?

rygar for nes is one of the best.that game needed a password or battery.there was no way to save.you really had to be hardcore to beat that game back in the day.
do not buy/get system repair from martin krohn aka iamnotageek.com
I still don't get it. Someone explain! And place another "o" in my name there... it looks like people pronounce it... when they mispronounce it.Originally Posted by SoulBlazer

Tecmo Super Bowl- a real football game when football games weren't base dentirely on stats and graphical glamor.
