    Default Ps2 Problem

Today, the CD-tray in my Playstation 2 wouldn't come out. When I pressed the eject button, nothing happens for a couple of seconds, then the blue light comes on and blinks and never stops.

I noticed something broke off around the disc tray, it's really small and it says as showed

    47
    10v

I scanned it, but it's so small that it wouldn't help, ill post it if you think it could help.

Am I screwed? Do I have to buy another Ps2? If your gonna say use my warrenty, it was up 2 years ago

A capacitor? A piece of plastic? What is it? Anyways, parts for the opening mechanism are available so don't buy another PS2 just yet.

Yeah, it's a SMD capacitor, should be available on special electric shops or you could get it changed in a electronics repair shop. Should be an easy job.

That's hard to say, it will cause a problem but changing it might reveal there's more to the matter. It's worth a shot anyways.

...but I'm just curious how it had come off and more important, do you know where it was located in the first place?

I don't know how it fell off, maybe when I was moving it from the TV in the basement back to my room.

I don't know where it's located, it was laying around where the lens is

I've never seen one of those fall out. Ever. In over 300 PS2's. I've seen them knocked off the mobo however by mod attempts.
