It serves those companies right. Those things are junky to start, and just hurt Nintendo's profits. It's nice to see them get wacked for a change.
If they made a movie out of your top five worst sins, what would it be rated?

I have a sealed one. Its basically an NES. I never bothered with it, I think it has another controller and a gun in the box.
i need to pickj one of these up before they dissappear, gotta love stuff that may get pulled
Damn things are all over ebay too.
I bought one about a year ago ... it literally blew up in my hands within the first 3 minutes of use. I got it on ebay and returned it to the seller who sent me a replacement. I've had no problems with it ever since ... of course I haven't used it forever either. It's nice to take on vacation or hotel stays because of its size but I would never consider it a replacement for the real thing.

I wonder if their sales records will convince Nintendo that there's a really big market here for all 900+ NES games in a single controller for only $19.99?
There is a market for all those games in one controller for 19.99$ - but there is more money to be had selling *one* game for 19.99 in the NES greatest hits series....
I want them all, not just one.

I knew this would happen someday... Im glad to see Nintendo dealing with this instead of suing Suicide Girls
In actuality, the Power Player does not contain all 900 or so games. Instead it has about 60 NES games and about 40 other older games. Then, the Power Player starts at different difficulty levels or stages and counts those variations as different games.

edit - nevermind
I'd like to see a source, "a judge in Seattle" isn't cutting it. Gamecube Europe thrives on making shit up on slow news days.
Aha. Here's a better source: http://www.planetgamecube.com/news.c...n=item&id=5773
For those of you who may want these for historical value they have been pulled off ebay, but there are still some on yahoo. Like I've said, I would never consider these as a replacement to an actual system and games, but they are interesting.

good point. What are the numbers for the GBA NES series anyway? There is a market for all those games in one controller for 19.99$ - but there is more money to be had selling *one* game for 19.99 in the NES greatest hits series....
THE ONE, THE ONLY- RCM
WTF? I'm totally for Nintendo going after these guys, but what fucking loss of revenue could they possibly have suffered? It's not 1990 any more...Currently the damages being sued for are unspecified, but with defamation, degradation of consumer/manufacturer relations and lost revenue, the early estimates are in the millions.

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
The sales volume must be pretty good, since they continue to release more titles. Anyhow, I just saw the second installment in stores this weekend (Metroid, Castlevania, Dr. Mario, and ??). A quick, and by quick I mean lazy, search on the Internet did not reveal any sales volume stats. Those new titles wouldn't be too bad for $20, but come on, Donkey Kong, Ice Climber, or Excitebike for $20 each. I like them, but I can't fathom paying that much for a nostalgic game that is merely a loop of three different stages like Donkey Kong
