I hear ya, it's way overpriced, but on the other hand I think people need to get over the "constant sticker shock" on games a little bit. I mean, people pay hundreds of thousands for stamps they will never mail, millions for coins they will never spend, thousands and thousands for comic books they will never read, etc. For some people, sometimes myself included, collecting them is more than half the fun. I simply can not fathom spending almost a thousand bucks on a game I'd never play. I have my opened copy, almost complete, and I love that. I just don't understand sealed game collectors. I mean, I'm all for odd collecting quirks, but 800 FRICKIN' DOLLARS!!!
No one has any problem with people collecting trading cards, right? Well, that's exactly what sealed games and other 'collectibles you can't use' are - trading cards.
