    Default Damn, Stupid Dream!

Okay so i wake up, and feel like screaming after last nights dream!

In my dream i was at a car boot sale, and i managed to get a Boxed Dreamcast Dev System for £30 which i was very happy about, and Sonic Cd for Mega CD too (which im after at the moment!)

    All seems great, then....

*Adam wake up, were off to work now so come lock the front door*
    bloody mother...

haha so i wake up looking for this Dev Kit and realise that im half asleep and that it was all a dream!

Im off out now and i better get something good, or im so gonna have a bad day after that!

Excuse the randomness of this topic!

I get dreams like that sometimes - But I do go around car boot sales a lot looking for stuff to sell on eBay!

I will sometimes have a dream that I find a boxed AES for £20 or maybe a huge Saturn package with every game you could possibly want that was rare - all for £50!!!

I then wake up and look in the corner and think to myself "Now where the hell did I put that Saturn stuff?" then reality kicks in!!! Not a nice feeling!

Several months ago I won an auction which was a boxed NES from ebay. A few days after I had won it, all I could think about was having that NES box in my room lol.

Anyway I had a dream (this was before I had recieved it in the post) and what happended is I recieved a package but instead of being a NES, it was like 3 consoles joined together! Seriously! It was like third of a Mega Drive, and 2 other consoles which I cant remember, all joint together as once console. Strange eh?

I remember being ill once, and I was hallcuinating really bad, and all I could think about was hundreds of Game Gears!!!

I hate falling asleep when you're playing a game, and you tend to dream you are still playing, but you'll wake up about half an hour later and be stuck on some wall turning in circles or something!!!

Ie, if it's Gran Turismo, you'll get stuck on one corner and you'll be creeping around the track really slow still scraping the wall; or if it's Resident Evil, you'll be walking in some corner.

Worse case scenario - You fall asleep playing a game without having saved for ages, and a baddie get's you - You wake up to see the "Your Dead - Game Over" screen or something!!!

had an odd dream last night that the wife and i were visiting india, bombay i think. anyways in the dream she was lougning around the hotel and i decided to go out game shopping. i found a little counter shop selling games, just as i walked up someone bought a smurf game and watch so i was convinced there was more good stuff. i somehow convinced the shop keeper to show me his back room, he had some old really rare looking 2600 games so i bought them in what i thought was a great deal. i got back to the hotel and showed my wife, she flipped out on me for spending $30 since that was something silly like 2 months pay in bombay...

even in my dreams my game collecting draws heat from the wife

A car boot sale is basically an open air sale (like your garage sales) where people put their personal posessions up for sale before they take them to the local tip.

Its a cult thng over her in old blighty, every summer, every weekend :-)

I suppose it's like an open air Thrift store in a way, just loads of individual sellers, with usually a load of old junk :-)

Like a flea market, then? Just folks pulling up to one place and unloading stuff to sell? Usually just piles of junk no one wants, like lawn ornaments or garden gnomes?

All this proper English and slang thereof is making my American head hurt.

I got a USA AES system for $40 USA once. Unfortunately, I had no money, so I was only picking it up for a friend. :-(

I did, however, get a Turbo Duo for $2 once (console only...A/v cord too, I think). Had to buy the AC adapter from turbo direct and a A/V to RF converter box from Radio Shack too to get it to work...so it did add up a bit.

I've had dreams that I found boxes of rare and prototype VCS games before...

A few months ago I had this dream that I went to 7-Eleven with a friend and they were selling Gamecube games, which were stored in one of the refrigerated cases. My friend was going to buy a game for me but I didn't get anything because I couldn't decide between Mario Kart DD or Wind Waker.

I didn't own either game when I had that dream, but they were high on my want list. I have both now.

I have dreams like that a lot. They really piss me off sometimes.

The problem is that they feel so real, you vividly remember everything and it feels like it is happening. Even if it's a surreal world. Or stuff is a way it really isn't. Your brain thinks that's how things are anyway, so you go along with it in the dream.

Basically, my most recent game related one really made me mad. I dreamt I found every game I lost in our move, including some I never owned. It was real. So real. Then I woke up. Let me tell you I was so disappointed. I really hate them sometimes.
