Technically, Christmas is the only one that should have been capitalized.

Picked up one of these just after Hallowe'en, trying to get a jumpstart on Xmas shopping. Hadn't thought of it as a future collectible when we picked it up, but now that you mention it...

I figure once the kids are done getting their share of use out of it, I'll drop it into my museum for later nostalgic endeavours.

Isn't VTech the same company that manufactured the Socrates system? I may be crossing my mfr's here but if it's the same I wouldn't get too excited in either quality of product or future collectibility.

Interestingly, this is probably the best selling console at my store. (Although that's probably because we're out of PS2s.)

How good are the graphics and sound on this thing, out of curiosity?

My Sister put an interactv under the tree for him..

That and the V-Tech my Mom put under the tree the only thing I didn't hear he got is the Video Now Jr.

My Son most likely won't play the two above that much since he's so into my stuff now.
Pico and Socrates etc don't get touched by him much now..
Though the few kids I have coming to Daycare do play them and the stuff given to my Son will be played by them..

This years my Son's first bicycle year...

Well if I started seeing stuff like that my ears would prick up - but it'd have to be a lot more stuff than just Parodius. I just don't want to spend $50 on a system that will only have a few crappy games when I could get my kid his own Dreamcast and just left him mess around with Sonic. I see the V-Smile becoming a dud.

Ha, mine too. He loves it.

I picked up an InteractTv "console" for my daughter but I also want to get the V. Smile as a gift for her to have at my parents house. The problem is you can't seem to find any of them in stock right now. My friend is the TRU manager and called me last night and told me to get there ASAP. They got a truck and the bill showed a case of them but there were none. It wasn't a wash though, there were some "Dora's Talking House", another must have.....for my daughter at least.

Now that's cool! My 3 year old would eat that up......it looks like daddy's N64.

Wonder if I could score one this late? Sears probably has a trillion of them.

It's also the same company that released the Technovision carts for the 2600.

I've been debating whether this is a 'real' videogame system and whether I should include it in the next edition of Phoenix. Most likely I will include it because I don't see something like this being that different than the Sega Pico which was included.

My niece is getting a V Smile from my mom for Xmas. I'm getting her one of these:

It's the Crayola My First TV Play System. I saw it at KB Toys and just had to get it for her

    Well,He got what I thought he'd get(my Son)..Both the InteracTV and V Smile...(amongst tons of other stuff)
Still have my wife's side of Family to visit for gifts etc..
And I sort of know what they got him too...

The InteracTV is giving me problems working with my Sons DVD player..So I either have to call the 1 800 number to get a code or just switch around DVD players...I got tired and stopped trying for tonight with his DVD player.(Headache Enducing)

I hooked up the very Simple, plug and play V Smile.....Now this is sweet..
He's having a ball with it..He's already used to Controllers and Joysticks for my Consoles and Arcade machines..So he took right to it..
