I haven't played any Palm games for quite a while, but one older B&W game that was awesome was Shadowthief. It's relatively short and was supposed to be the 1st in a trilogy. It's sort of Castlevania-ish, with a comedic, sarcastic twist.

Ackeron: Dark Sun was very good for its time too. It's an RPG with a steep curve atthe beginning (worse than Phantsy Star 1 for levelling up to get out of the town). But it had a great story, choppy as the game was. I had a great time with it once I got going.
As for modern games, I dunno...all I ever played were primitive games on Palm IIIc technology. I'm sure there are very high quality games out there by now.

My favorite Palm game is Space Trader:

I think that is a good version.
It's basically a long trading/buying/selling game between planets, with turn based fighting and illegal cargo, etc... Lots of fun.

From what I recall, space trader is really just a "cleaner" version of the popular
Dope Wars.
You are startled by a grim snarl. Before you, you see 1 Red dragon. Will your stalwart band choose to (F)ight or (R)un?
I can see the connection, but DopeWars didn't have wormholes, hundreds of cities (planets), opportunities to attack/flee from/trade with every ship you meet, illegal AND legal goods, side missions, affecting politics of planets, a bunch of different ships to own, and the goal of owning your own moon.Originally Posted by calthaer
It did, however, have PCP.

If you don't mind buying them, Sega has a decent port of Sonic for Palm devices (Zire 71 or better). The framerate leaves a bit to be desired, but its not unplayable. There's a nice Atari comp out there too. Also, I d/l an NES emu somewhere, and it works all-right though not spectacular on my Zire 72.
Personally, I stick with Tetris clones--there's a million of 'em and they are easy to find.[/img]

I don't know why some PC game developers haven't come up with the good idea of making a little PalmOS game that people can play and link up with their main game.

Yeah i understand that but there's enough for the pda's,i play roms on mine, i just installed Pocket Nester 0.7 man that's awesome i downloaded some roms and i works mega great.
Only thing to do is put the pda in usb connection download and it instals right on your pda, drag in some roms and done!I love this stuff.![]()
I like Tradewinds it's also by astraware Give it a try.
You've gotta watch buying games on SD or MMC cards for Palm OS because they probably won't work on the Zodiac. I bought the Sega card last year and the system needed a hard-reset whenever I tried to run anything on the card. The Zodiac SD cards and most downloaded games work fine. I downloaded a bunch of games from Yahoo that run with no problems, except the controls are designed for the old Palm units with the up/down switch and 4 function buttons.
Yea I'm having trouble with a lot of the games because it has errors and must be reset, also does that with some roms. I wish there was a free GBA emulator for it though.
Just downloaded Warring Nations, very impressed. Great game
