I'm back with more info. Here is a great link for the release dates. It shows DK Jr Math as 10/85 and Star Tropics as 12/90.

Also, I have a little info on an interesting find. I have a gold seal, non-Rev-A, non-hangtag. Inside is the 3-screw version without security screws.

Also, I'll continue to check my hangtag boxes.

I have every black box with a hangtag as well as Capcom's first 5 releases: Ghosts 'N Goblins, 1942, Commando, Section Z, and Trojan.
I also have Spy Hunter and Burgertime and some others, but will have to check.

I was actually wondering how many NES games there are that don't have a single sealed copy left in the world. Has anyone ever seen a sealed Flinststones 2? I would imagine that there are at least 25 (probabley around 50) games that either don't have any sealed copies left, or have around 1-3.
At least one sealed Flintstones 2 does exist.

variants update - damn there are a lot of black box variants. I just checked my two dk jr math boxes, and there are even two versions of this. One has product codes at the back top left and one does not. More such product code / non product code variants out there?

ah shit. there just had to be a dk jr. math box variant. Looks like i'll be looking for another.

Now tell me... are these both hangtab boxes? If they aren't is it possible that dk jr math has a three screw variation to go along with its 5 screw?

this is just shit, i can believe it. the hardest to find black box game has a variant.

oh well, way to keep your eye out. I'll post what my dk jr math has on it.

I've checked my black boxes, most have product codes. Only seen non-product code ones for dk jr math, clu clu and stack up so far. Anyone else have non-product code variants like this?

I have some of those variations as well. I will have to check the hangtag versions for the product codes. I also have a non-hangtag version w/ and w/o product codes. The one w/o the product codes was 5 screw that can be opened with a regular screwdriver. That game is Pro Wrestling. I will be checking on the others.
