    This site has a list of all the unlicensed nes games and companies. It also includes histories of each of the companies:
    http://www.planetnintendo.com/thewar...nlicensed.html
    You'll find everything you need right there.

    Oddly, that site doesn't so much as mention Sachen. Which is probably a very good thing.

    No, as I picked up "Bignose the Caveman" today, which is in a gold cart and is definitely unlicensed.

    Some come in various shades of gray, and many Color Dreams/Wisdom Tree carts are baby blue. Camerica carts can be found in both gold and silver. The aforementioned Sachen carts also seem to come in a variety of colors. (I'm sure I've seen blue, blue, and green, and there's probably others...)

    blue and green sachen carts? show me

    I know the brazilian CCE (like war in the gulf) carts are blue and some what resemble what a sachen cart may look like, but i have never seen a blue sachen. All i have ever seen are black ones.

    Unlicensed games are among my favorite to collect, especially complete and minty unlicensed games (since most of these were rentals and finding mint ones are VERY hard).

    So you have:
    Camerica
    Color Dreams (which include the likes of Wisdom Tree and Bunch Games)
    AGCI
    AVE
    Active Interprise
    Tengen
    Myriad
    Caltron
    and sachen if you count it, depends on the person/collector

    Pretty sure i nailed em all. Tengen, Camerica, AVE and Color Dreams have the most titles. Out of those, if you are going for fun games go with camerica. You can buy 5 factory sealed ones on ebay at any given time for 50 bucks plus shipping. For camerica some of the better titles are Ultimate Stuntman, Bee 52, Micro Machines and Stunt Kids. Big nose is pretty good too.

    If you are going for accessibly easy to find unlicensed games (and some are quite fun) then go with tengen, although some might think they are boring to collect, they are indeed quite cool

    For unique and interesting (to say the least), go with camerica and bunch (wisdom tree). Some of these are down right nasty to track down, esp complete and in nice shape, pretty much because they were shitty games that didn't sell very well.

    And then there is AVE... If you are into good condition,games, make sure you get a good scan of what you are buying because the labels on these games tend to be shit, just like the games.

    AGCI has three releases, Active only had two releases, Myriad just 6 in 1 and Caltron 6 in 1 (the same game).

    and lord only knows why you would want sachen.

    ...what the? I could have SWORN I saw at the very least a dark blue one on TheRedEye's site. Just went and checked and, of course, they're all black. Guess I got confused or something...Sachen games'll go that to ya. x_x

    The 60-pin Jovial Race is green, but that hardly counts, since licensed FC games are a wide variety of colors anyway...

    and black.

    there are a pile of color dream cart varations. Secret scout, castle of deceit, moon ranger, pesterminator.... i could go on for ever baby. but... not all color dream games have two different colors. operation secret storm was only released as a black cart and quite a few others were only released blue cart.

    Great site jbholio !!!
    Do you own all of those games, or did you just borrow pics. It is an amazing site either way, but if you own them all... you have a SICK collection as well!

    As everyone has already said, Unlicensed games come in a variety of colors. Tengen=Black
    Color Dreams=Blue/Black
    Bunch=Blue/Black
    Wisdom Tree=Black
    Camerica=Gold/Silver
    A.V.E=Black

    Those are the ones you will most likely find in the wild, and even they will be few and far between. I would start out by collection Tengen games. They are of high quality, and are easy to find. Some of the Bunch games are pretty rare and very hard to come by, even with the help of Ebay.
    Good Luck!

    I have a great collection of weird unlicensed NES stuff. I would say I have about 2 out of 3 games that are on my site but I still need the 3 panesians, most of Sachen games (I only own 20) and I don't have any of the Mega Soft famicom games published by NTDEC.

    Only AVE game I have is Krazy Kreatures and seems to be about only one I found worth playing.
