All portable systems are region free AFAIK. The Virtual Boy is definitely region free.

Yup, all VB games play on all systems. However, keep in mind that Japanese games are in, well, Japanese. Not a big deal with something like V-Tetris (only released in Japan), but rather confusing in other games that have a degree of text to them, like Baseball. ("Was that a strike or a ball? What inning is it? What's the name of my friggin' TEAM?!?!")

Yep , I have both the NTSC Virtual Boy set and a Jap VB set (both CIB) and both will play games from both regions![]()
