Okay.....so if that report is correct, the older XBoxs have a slight problem with their power supply and soldering.
There can't be THAT many XBox's of those versions out there, though.
If that really IS the problem, why not just do a recall? Tell customers what is going on, ask them to send in their units, you pay for shipping going in, they pay for it going back out.
That's what Sony is doing with the DRE problems with the PS2.
Instead, if the report is correct, all this new power cord is going to do is prevent future problems, but you still may end up with a broken XBox -- and then what do you do? Pay big bucks to have MS or someone fix it.
This is one time I think Sony may actually have better customer service then MS. x_x
