Heh. I bought that game for my kid sister years ago. She graduates high school this year and is appropriately cynical enough to appreciate the reference. Have to order her one....

I played this game all the time back in grade school.
How many have they made in the series now? Are the new ones any good?

Vain people don't wear A&F or Hollister stuff. They get designer fashions that cost more not mass produced stuff that will make you look the same as everyone else. FYI.Originally Posted by tholly

That shirt is awesome! Just hope people would get the reference.
They should sell these with a personalized gravestone on the back so you can re-create all the classic grade-school epitaphs. "John was a homo" etc. etc.
The last Oregon Trail game I played had digitalized actors. Actually it was quite good. Pretty much like the original but with better graphics.Originally Posted by SoulBlazer

That brings back memories of playing that back in the school library on the old apple IIs, I would buy one but I don't have a job as of late so I need to conserve my cash.
If they made a movie out of your top five worst sins, what would it be rated?

Now THAT'S what I'm talkin about! Man the memories this thread brings back memories of old. I remember that there was only one computer in our school and you could only go on it if you got on the honor roll. It's funny because back then I was a whiz, if they had that same deal in High School I wouldnt have even seen the computer from detention.Originally Posted by vintagegamecrazy
Do you guys remember when there was a new Mac version with a new style of hunting? The hunting was in first person with realistic gunshot sounds. You used the mouse to aim the crosshairs. This came out in about 92 or 93. I remember always prefering the hunting on the apple II. It was a little more challenging, and I thought this first-person stuff was just lame. Didn't stop me from playing it during class, though.
i should order one. i remember playing that game back in like 2nd grade. having like 3 ppl in it from my class and killing them off and then eventually drowning myself. fun times. always had a bitch of a time with that final river thing tho. and this was back on the old apples. that was classic right there.
I feel like I should be looking at that t-shirt through a glowing green filter.
Damn but that brings back memories of spending time in the library on the bank of IIe computers! Must. Have. Dystentery.
Shirt.

I remember that too.. Along with Oregon Trail we had Word, Number, and Super Munchers as well... I miss those Apple IIs.
I played alot of OT back in the day on my school's Apple IIs as well. Now that I think about it, the hunting aspect eminds me alot of playing Safari Hunt on a SMS emulator.

I don't think that the average person who sees someone wearing the shirt would get it. I wouldn't have got it if it wasn't in the context of the page that was selling it. I guess that since not everybody will get it is what makes it "cool".
Ambercrombie sucks!
Condoleezza Rice is nice, but I prefer A Roni!
This thread has filled me with so many good memories of Elementary School.
Does anyone else have the urge to go play it right now?
RIP Bargora.
Yup we had those as well. At the same time i also had a computer at home which was an Apple IIc (not the IIe).Originally Posted by Big Papa Husker
