Nintendo Vs. System with no games.
Wrong subforum ?
Why didn't you put "Nintendo Vs. System" into the title? Are you suckering knowledgable people into the thread? They'd already come in if they knew the answer...
I've never understood this tactic. Can you imagine if every topic had such a vague title?

$50, these games are really not desirable to arcade game collectors so even with games they are only worth $100 to $150.
That exact model of Vs machine is what introducd me to the NES back in the day.. I fell in love with SMB....had to have it.

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
Would you happen to know where to get one of these? PM me!Originally Posted by Time

Yeah, I wouldn't shell out more than $50 for one with no games for that particular model, and probably wouldn't even do $150 with a game in it unless it was something pretty obscure and/or it had other parts I could use. YMMV.
Also, moving to Arcade Alley where it will probably get more feedback.

I have one of those machines with 2 games...Vs. Golf and Vs. Super Mario Bros. I paid $125 for the machine. I'm happy with it and $125 wasn't too expensive, but I wouldn't go much higher than that.

I have one with Super Mario Brothers on one side and Dr. Mario on the other. I originally bought it because I was running out of room in my arcade and thought I could save some space with it, but if you figure on space for chairs the machine takes up about three times the space of a normal arcade cabinet.
Also if you get one cheap it's likely to be dented up, as that red metal isn't that sturdy.
I'd like to pick up an Excitebike board for it at some point in time but I'm not sure which of the two games I'd get rid of. Probably Super Mario Brothers, since I have it on my MAME cabinet. Excitebike scrolls funny on my MAME machine.
What are the games worth? I dont see them in the rarity guide. Technically theyre arcade games so I understand why they arent in there.

Here's a game AND the PCB for $9.99.
Depends on the game.Originally Posted by DeputyMoniker
Some of the sports games (Tennis, Golf, Baseball) are pretty dirt common. Years ago, some operators even gave them out for free when you purchased another game. I probably wouldn't pay more than $10 or so for a set.
Other games are a little less common and/or in higher demand (e.g., Castlevania, Excitebike) so the price for those games is typically a little higher, maybe $20 or so per set.
You'll need the PCB and a set of roms to plug into it. Later games (Castlevania, RBI Baseball) are on one board that plugs into the PCB. The early games are on several chips that plug into the board (see the photo in the auction Flack posted) in the slots on the left. For the sports games, you have to fill in both sets, so make sure you have all the roms if you buy one of them. For the non sports games, you only have to fill in one set.

It's on €100 already and he doesn't even know if its still works. So I'm not interested anymore
Im having a hell of a time finding good info on these. Have you found a complete release list?

Let me know when you've got a cab and a motherboard, I have an RBI board I could be convinced to sell, and I *think* I have Mach Rider around here somewhere too but I'll have to double check on that one. I definitely have a couple of the sports titles too if you're interested.Originally Posted by DeputyMoniker

IIRC, there are about twice as many games for the vs. hardware than what's listed above. Just off the top of my head, Castlevania, The Goonies and Gradius are missing... there are lots of lesser known titles absent too, but it's a a good start!
