I would use a converter, personally...but this doesn't seem to be an issue. A converter + power, that would be ideal.
Lol, I took your advice from last night ED. I bidding on some stuff on eBay right now. I also have another question for you. You said Neogeo system tells the game what language to play in. How about a 3do system? Would a JP system play US game in Japanese???

What voltage and polarity does the Famicom Disk System use? I'm assuming it probably could use a standard NES power adapter which is 9volts/positive. The FDS battery compartment (that has missing contacts on the one I've done some repair work on) holds six 1.5v batteries which totals 9 volts. So since it uses the same voltage as the NES it's probably safe to say the polarity is the same. Or am I mistaken?

Whoa! Standard NES power supplies are AC not DC. Do not use them in anything except a NES (or an Odyssey2). I use a Genesis 9V/1.2A plug for my Famicom and FDS (model 1602 I believe).Originally Posted by TeddyRuxpin
Most JP consoles work fine on US line current, but there are some that are too finicky to work consistantly. The Neo Geo CD can be picky with the voltage difference - mine will randomly fail to boot on US voltage, but with a US->JP convertor is far more reliable. And since it has a custom wackjob power supply, you can't just substitute a US adapter like you can most other JP consoles.

If you dont know, Twin Famicom is a Famicom with build-in Disk System.
