I voted for the SNES controller, because it's simple and comfortable. Perfect for platformers!

I voted for the SNES controller, because it's simple and comfortable. Perfect for platformers!
I would say Playstation,it just feels so good.Either that or SNES is a close second. :/
My fav is the saturn small version, its likle the smaller genesis version, and i loved those, although now my hands are much bigger from when i was younger but still anything is better than those hideous x box controllers
I like the Saturn one too.
Perfect for fighters, shooters, platformers, and everything. There are a good number of buttons, but I really don't like the double triggers on the Playstation. The N64, GC and Xbox are all the ones I hate! Sega did it right (then of course, screwed it up with the DC..especially for SF fans). >
I also loved the 3DO, just because of the headphone jack on the joysticks and the daisy chaining feature!
i go for the digital PSX controller, i had two in my car but it didn't match my color scheme so i was forced to go with white dual shocks......which are virtually, the same except for.......well you know the difference but i like the weight difference. if anybody still has an old PSX controller, feel how light they are, its amazing......i had the special red one from Toys'R'Us
i like the gamecube controller, that thing's just so comfortable!
Saturn and Genesis, the best joysticks ever
Gamecube!
Another day, another dollar... wake me when it's payday.
still playing games
I must agree that I really like the GameCube controller. Feels mighty comfy in my small hands. Took a bit of getting used to after the PS2 controller, but I definitely like the GC controller better now.
My original favorite was always the SNES Ascii pad:
But these days.. if I had to choose, I guess I like the Gamecube controller. I'm definitely not a fan of the psx dual analog despite a lot of people who think its the controller of choice. My fingers just naturally rest on those R1/R2 buttons and I end up pressing them accidentally. Then when I'm not pressing them, I have a hard time hitting the one I want-when I want. And the recessed pad sucks for fighting games x_x
I'd have to go with the Sega Genesis 6 Button Controller
After getting that controller I could NEVER go back the the original 3 Button one
One thing I DON"T like are all the new pads with L and R buttons, I hated them on the Super Nes, but at least they weren't used much, but now ALL game controller have them AND make use of them. My finger just don't fit up on them comfortably.
The only controller with L and R buttons I like is the DreamCast because they're down where they are more reachable. however I'd have been much happier had they just put the two extra buttons on top like the Genesis 6 button pad!

I'm the first Xbox vote. Yup.
I like the Gamecube one, but I forget that the X & Y buttons are there. I don't know why that is, but it's true. I don't like the Z button's placement much either.
The PS2 controller is good - no real complaints.
But I've found that the positioning of the two analog sticks on Xbox work great for me (and I think that having two analog sticks makes for great gaming). And I have no problems reaching any of the buttons (nor do I forget they are there).
I used to love the N64 controller but not any longer. Once you stop using it regularly it's hard to go back to.
Time will be when the broadest river dries
And the great cities wane and last descend
Into the dust, for all things have an end
I always thought the CV Super Action controllers were the coolest design and the coolest looking.
My all-time favorite is the Saturn analog pad. It has a nice grip as well as a sensible button layout that works well for a variety of games. A second analog stick would have been nice, but most titles don't really need one.
And for the record, I hate the GameCube controller. It's ugly, and the button format is needlessly eccentric. Like the N64 pad, it seems to have been designed exclusively for Nintendo's first-party titles, and woe to anyone who uses the misshapen thing to play a conventional fighting game.

I am a big fan of the SNES controller. My hands never got tired of holding it, and the buttons are in perfect locations. It makes different commands easy for all the RPGs I like, too.
I'm still quite partial to the DC controller. I never had any comfort problems with it. I HATE the Colecovision controller. That and the original XBox controller have both given my hands the same number of cramps and pains.
I'd vote Playstation second; I find it a heck of alot more manuverable than the GC controller (Maybe it's the symmetry in the PS one and the lack of in the GC)
I hate Jaguar controller and Coleco controller
GameCube gets my vote. Very confy, easy on the hands after hours of use, good button placement. Only thing I don't like is where the Z button is located.
The Playstation Dual Shock 2 controller (the standard for the PS2) is also a very good controller, as is the SNES and the redisigned NES controller.
dreamcast is my fav for some reason, but xbox, snes, and PS Duel shock are all great.
Well I WOULD have voted for the TG16 but apparently it's not even worthy of being on the ballot. >)
