Default Jones soda / Nintendo contest

I picked up some jones soda today, and I look at the label, and notice that the picture is 'Metroid Prime: Hunters' and, that theres a contest going on. I figure it has to do with nintendo, so I went to their website and it is. If you collect 'Jones' one letter a cap, you win some stuff.
    http://www.jonessoda.com/files_new/c...under-cap.html
I didn't happen so see what other games are on the labels, because the I only got this one. This post is more / less to notify collectors that they should look around for some black cap Jones and collect them for the labels, its a cool thing to have. Once I'm done drinking it, I'm saving it.

A contest of Nintendo stuff? Man, I just grabbed a bottle the other day and I also only had a letter... I'll have to see if they have new stock in at the gas station.

By the way, they make the best cream soda on the planet.

Never had one of these Jones sodas. I remember they started carrying them at my college food court during my final year, but they were like $1.50 each so I never got one. Now looks like the time to give em a try. Thanks for the heads up

The head of Jones soda seems like a pretty down-to-earth guy, too. Check this interview:

    http://www.fastcompany.com/magazine/...nes-extra.html

The problem is...I can't find the guy's name in the interview - can anyone else?

Jones Soda is famous for making those Turkey, Mashed Potatos, Green Beans and Cranberry sodas during Thanksgiving last year. These things were selling for INSANE amounts on Ebay for a while.

I follow Jones Soda stock actually(and have bought/sold some at one point) - Interesting company, with an excellent product. I've never had any of those turkey flavours and crap - But their regular brands are probably the best tasting Soda's i've ever had.

Their Cream Soda being my absolute favourite. Almost like drinking liquid candy. If you find yourself in a place that carrys Jones, i'd pick that one up first.

Yeah, Jones Soda is not that easy to find, but I do know that Target does/did carry it. Maybe more retailers will as it is becoming more popular.

Anyway chicks dig the Bubble Gum Soda mixed with Barcardi.

Jones is pretty good stuff, but a bit on the spendy side. They are excellent for mixing with booze. I'm confident enough with both my masculinity and liquor intake to admit that I'll have a "girly drink" every once in a while, especially when I'm hungover -- they help get out the "hair of the dog".

Though, I really think everyone that bought one of their "thanksgiving" sodas has never actually drunk one.

I dunno. Cranberry sounds kinda good.

They don't have Jones down here (florida) but I've seen it in Minnesota (where my brother lives) they had the cute bottles with the cat on it. (:

Cranberry's one thing (probably just a more fizzy version of Ocean Spray stuff), but GRAVY?

    ugh.

Aye - Target has them, my local Stop and Shop does, and i remember from a press release that "Kroger"(sp?) does also. Not sure, since Kroger don't exist in my state. I've also picked it up at Panera Bread and Starbucks.

It is pricey though. Being you can get a 12 Pack of Pepsi with a coupon for nearly the same price as a bottle or two. (Yeah, i clip coupons. I'm not proud)

You can find 4 packs pretty cheap. Any resturants that have it will usually have their own labels (Like, Panera bread has special panera labels) and will charge out the ass for it. You should be able to find a 4-pack for 4 bucks, but a single might cost you $1.70 at some resturants.

Last time I checked you could buy a custom 12-pack from Jones' website...you pick and choose any combination of thier buttload of flavors and they'll send them to you. Green Apple rocks.

I am not trying to be rude or anything but I have seen them here in Florida, but really only at Panera's, try looking there. (they have pretty good sandwiches too )

Yes, Jones Sodas are expensive, but then again they're not trying to mass market the stuff and allow people to guzzle it by the truckloads. The interview explains it - soda is a treat, and people don't need it. It's not a necessity. They're just making soda personalized, making it more of a cult fandom commodity. I guarantee that there are very few "fans" of the actual Pepsi drink, but Jones seems to have them.

    We should start trading caps.

I only have 1 right now J, but when we all start buying some more, we can will cool stuff (because if I get 2 J's, there is probably somebody out there that will need a J and have an extra O or something)

I saw a ad for this in my newer Nintendo Power. I had never heard of it before, and I don't think you can get it where I live.

I've got 1 J and a bunch of try again's. I'm guessing J isnt the one that 'everyone needs' from the looks of it.

Yeah, Jones' rules. As far as the soda goes, I've always been a fan of Fufu Berry. They also have a line of drinks called Jones' Naturals, which are mixes of fruit juice and/or tea (but not soda) made by the same company. They had a kind of green tea named Dave that was the best tea I have ever drank. The best juice they made was Fu Cran Fu, but they stopped making it. I've heard Strawberry Manilow and Bohemian Raspberry are good, but I've never been able to track those down. Needless to say, for those of you unfamiliar with their products, Jones' is to soda as Ben & Jerry's is to ice cream.

And w/r/t the Thanksgiving sodas, I've never personally had one (I could never find a store that had them in stock, or else I'd've given it a shot), but Time Out London reviewed it and said that they tasted like fizzy salt. Also, the Turkey soda has no actual meat in it, or, in other words, is vegetarian friendly.
