Congrats! Its your lucky day! They will give you one for free if you sign a one year T-Moblie contract. In fact, you get a $50 rebate so they will pay you $50 to take an NGage.Originally Posted by RCM

Can't say that I ever have. Though, I have gotten consoles before (Dreamcast) where I only play a few games ever (Gauntlet Legends, Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi).
SMS - Phantasy Star
I bought a Gamecube 2 years ago just for Ikaruga. I've picked up a few under $5 games since, but I still have not turned on the system.
My Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast I think were mostly following Sonic around.
Move 'sig' for great justice.
I bought a Gamecube a couple of months ago just for Animal Crossing (well, and the "forthcoming" Hello Kitty game for my girlfriend) and now I have 14 games for the system. (And the Hello Kitty game has yet to come out!)
I bought a N64 for GoldenEye and a PS2 for GTA3.
I picked up the gamecube for metroid prime and I got the xbox for the oddworld series and doom 3.
I bought a current-gen system (gamecube, in this case) for Time Splitters 2. I've now got all three systems, and a couple dozen games for each. But, it was TS3 that gave me the push to get a console newer than my Dreamcast.
Funny thing, though, is that Time Splitters wasn't my first game from the current generation. I've owned Frequency pretty much since it's debut... bought it to play on my buddy's system.
Yes, if that game happens to be Pokemon.
You are startled by a grim snarl. Before you, you see 1 Red dragon. Will your stalwart band choose to (F)ight or (R)un?
Well i bought a dreamcast so i could play samba de amigo. & thats all i have or ever want for it.
I bought a Dreamcast for Soul Calibur. But I would have probably bought it anyway since I loved the saturn!
Guns don't kill people,
Chuck Norris kills people!
No. I always wait until I have at least three games that I really, really want. Until that happens, I'll hold off.
I waited forever to get a GameCube because, even though I really wanted Super Monkey Ball, I didn't have anything else I really wanted to play for the longest time... until Mario Kart.
Okay, so that was my exception to the rule too...Originally Posted by PDorr3
Then again, I bought it as a DVD player that just happens to play Tempest 3000 when it dropped to $99.00 new. I wouldn't have been able to justify it without needing a DVD player too.

i don't do that dumb ass shit. i don't buy systems for 1 game, but plenty more games.
I will buy a PS3 because of one game (MGS4) but it's not like i won't pick up other exclusive titles like DMC4 (Still could come to 360) too. It's foolish to buy a system for only one game and then only play that one game.
For example i bought a PS2 because of MGS3, but i've also gotten other big exclusives like, God of war, DMC, PS2 Exclusive RE games, Time Crisis (mmm guncon2 goodness) and of course the legendary, Katamari Damacy.
I'm guilty, the only reason I bought an XboX was for Dead or Alive Ultimate, but I could not resist Outrun2 for 20 bucks !!
Bought my Cube for SMS, (what a mistake that was...) Since then SoulCalibur II hasn't left it
I plan on buying a 360 only for DOA4
I've got a TRS-8- CoCo 2 solely for the game Dungeons of Daggorath. I've never had any intention of ever seeking out any other games for this obscure system, but lately Downland has piqued my interest.

I'm going to be guilty of that...Originally Posted by njiska

Actually, I had a PS2 prior to the release of MGS3, but it was one of the older ones and ended up getting that damn Disk Read Error. I was without a PS2 for a long time. Then when MGS3 hit the shelves, I actually bought that before the system... as kind of a way to MAKE me by the PS2 again! I've purchased other games for it though, I don't just stagnate on one game for a system. That would indeed be pointless.
Other than that, the whole reason I ever wanted the PSOne was because MGS came out, and I was a huge fan of Metal Gear on the NES (at this point, I had no internet and no knowledge of the MSX versions).
I bought an Atari Jaguar just to be able to play Alien vs Preditor. After realizing the game was crap I sold them off.
