well, this is not true, A LOT of rare stuff goes for next to nothing still

i just wanted to add that as you are collecting for the NES the prices don't fluctuate too much, well, they do, but a Stadium Events will never fall into the <20 bucks category and so on. So, if you want to know whats rare (the rarities don't fluctuate) and what's likely expensive, the guide is a very good option, even if it's old. This is even more true for the Classic Guide as those prices don't change as much as the ones of newer systems. If you're not sure about anything that's printed in the Book you can always check the online guide if it's still up2date
