Where do you put your disc-based games? In CD wallets?

Do you leave all your disc-based games in their original cases or do you put them in those CD wallets? For me, I leave all my GameCube, Xbox, Dreamcast and PS1 games in their original cases on a shelf, but I have to put my Saturn games in a CD wallet. I can't stand those damn Saturn cases, they break apart constantly and are a pain in the ass to deal with. I do leave them on display, though. They do like kind of cool

I am concerned about CD wallets, however. Taking games out and putting them in the wallet seems like it will scratch them. I'm wondering if perhaps I should find a better solution.

I keep my GC games in the little wallet that came with its plush carrying case. Makes it easy to transport the system to multiplayer fun events Everything else I leave in its original case. Back when the 3 for $15 sale was going on at Gamecrazy, I picked up some PS1 games that were in those cheap paper sleeves-those went into a regular cd binder.

For the CDs that I can't find the original cases for, I put in CD wallets. I took it apart so they're only double-sided CD sleeves, though. Wish I hadn't done that, the binder takes up less space.

As for the CDs getting damaged using them, I haven't seen any problems with the condition of the CDs putting them in the wallets, but the ones I put in there are pretty damaged anyway, so I can't prove it to you.

I leave all mine in the original cases. It looks best on the shelf!

I use those slim CD cases. It seems less likely to scratch the games compared to snapping the disc back in the original case.

It all depends if i have the original case. If i don't have the original case, They go into slim CD cases (If i have them) And if i don't have slim CD cases, they go into regular-sized CD cases.

Every game stays in its case. Placing it into a CD wallet or other like holder causes scratches.

I keep all my CD/DVD games in these. It's just more convenient than browsing shelves, and I'm afraid taking CDs in and out of their original cases will scratch them.

For games and CDs I bought at the store, I always keep them in their original cases. But for CDs I burn, I just keep them in a CD binder. For loose disc games, I just slap them in spare slimline jewel cases I have lying around.

Since my games travel with me quite a bit (many friends and relatives are gamers), I use the small carrying case for Gamecube games (getting to the point where I need to buy a THIRD one... I have 25 games!), and a big-ass CD binder for the larger disc-based games and my anime collection.

The small carrying cases for Gamecube games are awesome, and I wish they made a larger one than the 12-disc capacity case. (If they do, someone send me a link!)

The majority of my cd based games are Dreamcast, and the majority of those do not have cases, so I put them all in one big CD wallet. IMO, these are definitely the way to go, they take up a lot less room than cd cases and you don't have to go buying cd holders for them. And of course there's just the added convenience of a cd wallet.

Though I have very few CD based games (can't stand them) all of mine are still in their origional cases. I'm to afraid of scratching them to take them out, and there is no way I'd every buy a loose CD game.

for the collector who plays all of his games (*cough* me *cough*) I keep all of my cases on display, but put the discs in alphabetical order for easy access, especially since all of my ps2/xbox/dreamcast cases on a book shelf and are stacked (so if I were to pick one up they'd all fall).

They stay in their cases for me. Burned games I usually label them and stack them in slim-line cases, or for the DC imports/mods I usually use regular jewel cases and print out the case art.

I use a cd wallet as well, but I also keep the original cases until I find better storage for them.

I find that CD wallets scuff the surfaces. I only keep those old PSX and PS2 magazine demo discs in them. My Xbox games (only current gen system that I have left) go straight into slim CD jewel cases immediately after they are unwrapped, since they can spin and scuff in the DVD cases. Anything like PSX or Dreamcast games stay in their normal CD jewel cases. My Cube discs used to stay in their DVD cases since they snap in more solidly and don't spin.

I keep all of my CD games in standard jewel cases. I hate the cases for Sega CD & Saturn too. It's nearly impossible to get the disc out of those things. I've literally almost broken discs in half trying to get them out of there. And God help you if the disc ever comes loose in one of those cases somehow. It'll end up with scratches all over it. CD wallets are the worst though. I don't care what they say about them, those things scratch the hell out of your discs every time you insert or remove them. You might as well just throw all your discs in a big pile and shuffle them like dominoes if you're gonna use a CD wallet to store them in.
