Default CIB Stadium Events on Ebay...

    Here's the auction:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Family-Fun-Fitne...QQcmdZViewItem

First off, the pic clearly shows that this is a PAL version, but he says it's NTSC. Second, the seller is brand new and only has 2 feedbacks. Third, and strangest of all, I'm expected to believe that this guy found a CIB PAL (PAL mind you!!) Stadium Events at a thrift shop in Las Vegas NV (the middle of the freaking desert)?!?!? Too much for me. I say fake and scam. What do you guys think?

I love how he's playing dumb, but where does he outright claim that it's NTSC? He tries to lead lesser minds into thinking that, but he doesn't outright say "this is the US version". I wonder if "leicht Athletik" is the US manual??? Hmm

Every single item in that picture is PAL

In the "Item Specifics" part directly above his description...

    Item Specifics - Video Games
    Platform: Nintendo NES
    Genre: Sports
    Rating: E - Everyone
    Sub-Genre: --
    Condition: New
    Format: NTSC (US, Canada)

He clearly states that it is NTSC. It is obviously PAL, and come on man...a CIB PAL Stadium Events at the thrift shop in Las Vegas?????

If you're listing an item in the US, it'll automatically default to NTSC in the Item Specifics unless you change it.

Plus that it's obvious that it's a PAL format, check box corner saying B and ofcourse cart and manual.

I saw this auction this morning and knew it was a fake fairly quickly. Most of these have been said, but I'm saying them again:
2 feedback... definitely just signed up to scam
He keeps on saying he doesn't know its rare. The whole "playing dumb" thing doesn't convince me. Actually, it convinces me that he's lying.
Alright, I've never seen a Stadium Events manual, but what the hell is "Lekcht Athletik??" Doesn't that sound German or something, or at least from somewhere in Europe.

I think that he knows that its a rare game but doesn't want to actually make any claims himself. I agree with another poster, eBay's default is that games are listed as NTSC unless you change it. I actually believe that this guy didn't realize this but also probably isn't in a huge hurry to change it if he now knows. Lastly, anyone who's able to spend the kind of money that this will go for should be able to clearly see for themselves what it is that they're bidding on. He did provide clear pictures so let the buyer beware.

That's true guys. I didn't think about it defaulting to NTSC unless you change it.

The biggest problem for me is still the fact that he claims he found a CIB PAL Stadium Events in the middle of the freakin' desert in the western US. I'm sorry, but the terms PAL and Las Vegas just usually don't go together.

I don't necessarily agree with this because they have two completed transactions as a seller and both were sales. I would say different if he was the buyer in those two cases, but he/she was both the seller.

Well, just out of curiousty, and since the seller DID say in the auction header he was'nt REALLY sure what he had, I just sent this info to him to try to help:

Hello, you stated in your auction you did not know much about this game. Here's some info for you to help -- what you have is the PAL (Europe) version, NOT the NTSC (US) version. The PAL version is common. Your version looks in great shape, so it should fetch around $50. It's the NTSC version of this game that goes for big bucks. You MIGHT want to put into your auction you are selling the PAL version so someone does'nt get pissed off at you. If you'd like more info or help with selling the game, check out www.digitpress.com. Good luck!

How he responds and what he does will let us know if he's TRYING to rip people off or really does'nt know what he has.

That one is PAL, look at the instruction booklet. The NTSC version of the instructions is different.

It's hilarious how you guys are amazed this was apparently found in Vegas. A complete, authentic, almost-new NTSC Stadium Events was found at a flea market here, it's one of the few to surface. I apparently live in Stadium Events Central.
