Any word on the Phantasy Star Collection coming to the US? It was originally supposed to and then it was indefinitely put on hold...
Anybody know?

Last I heard, the remake of PS4 (there are three Phantasy Star games on the collection, PS1-PS2-PS4) had'nt even been released in JAPAN yet.
When it does finally come out there, expect another 4-6 months for them to translate it and get it ready for a US release.
Hell, I'm still waiting on Wild Arms: Alter Code F to come out here. :/ The game has been out in Japan for over TWO YEARS allready and it keeps getting delayed again and again. It's worse then a WD game at this point. :P

WTF? I own PS Collection for GBA, it has PS1/2/3 but not 4.
No, this is a different collection. It's under the Sega Ages line. Complete remakes of three of the four Phantasy Star games. 3 was left out due to not being a popular game and kind of the red headed stepchild of the series. The collection is for the PS2. Updated graphics, music, gameplay, the works. I'm looking forward to it when it finally does come out here.

Yes, next month they SAY. It was susposed to be out last week...and two months ago....and four months ago....you get the idea. :P
I won't believe it until I have a copy in my hands. At this point I would'nt be surprised if EITHER game was canceled for a US release. :/

just get import then.
I have JP import LE 1st print inc. binder and all... for 1000 yen 2nd hand...
on a related note, the PS2 remakes of Phantasy Star and Phantasy Star 2 are quite amazing. I can't wait to play the new version of Phantasy Star 4 (when it's done, which I'm pretty damn sure won't be next month.
Sega.co.jp is still saying "TBA"
edit
Bah, I had to shell out $25 for it. I kept preordering them until Golden Axe, and then I started to get really selective and choosy. Golden Ace was just a kick to the ballsOriginally Posted by dj898

yeah but some of us like to read dialogue and know what we're doing.Originally Posted by dj898

I've played through PS2 enough times that I could probably quote the whole game verbatim hehe. Not that there's much as far as plot/dialogue in the whole game, though. Dunno if the remakes have changed much or not. I'd definitely need a chart for the spell names hehe.
Casting Sak or Nasak accidentally = REALLY bad idea.
I haven't played (or own) any of the Sega Ages remakes, but I did get ahold of the PSM sound rips for 1 and 2.
In my opinion, PS2's music fares pretty badly here. "Advanced" doesn't really sound advanced, and Death Place sounds silly (as do a number of other tracks).
I thought PS1's sound did pretty well, though.
For 1000 yen, man! I'd have gotten it for that if I weren't so focused wasting my money on MD gamesOriginally Posted by TheRedEye

Last I heard, Sega canned the company that was doing the translations on the Ages remakes....The company was Conspiracy something, I believe. Dunno if there's any truth to this, though.
I've been really worried this collection won't ever make it. I'm also going to be really bummed if Alex Kidd in Miracle World was cancelled.
BTW, where does anyone see TBA on their site? I don't see PS Collection listed anywhere...they took it aff the site as far as I can see.

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
if sega had some sense (not likely) they would have this compilation available as a bonus for the upcoming Phantasy Star Universe. That would get me to actually pre-order the game

Phantasy Star Trilogy is no more, thanks to Sega of Japan canning the company 3D Ages for the bad rap on the remakes. Also, Conspiracy Entertainment is no more, so without the remake of Phantasy Star 4 there will be no PS Trilogy in the States.
Conspiracy Entertainment, I think.Originally Posted by rbudrick

Hmm, they're still around. They've got the Sega Ages press release from May '04, but nothing new since then.
So canned by Sega, apparently, but still around.
Bummer, it's that true that SUCKS. Not only did I want a re-release of PS4 for SOME moden system in the States, I was REALLY looking forward to those remakes.![]()
