The fart didn't throw me off because I thought the graphics garbled because the game was still not quite finished. I knew it was fake when the Butter Monster appeared though. At that point it was too obvious, to me at least. It was definately a fun ride though.
Bacon, Bacon, Bacon, IT'S BACON!!!!
That's a pretty damned great elaborate hoax!
Best thread ever Joe.

Well, you had me fooled... I thought the text for the butter monster looked off, but couldn't really put my finger on it.
Uh, but I only have one question... Where did the butter monster's original image come from?
Yay Joe!

what a great post Joe. I have to atleast post something now in this legendary thread. It was a great read.
Yesterday I stumbled upon this thread, and after the first page it was very clear that this is a hoax, and after two pages it was clear that it was a sarcastic parody of offered fake prototypes.Originally Posted by paulB812

In the meantime I think if someone goes on ebay and put in bold letters "this is a scam, I want your money and please bid on the item if you like to get scammed," some people would still actually bid on that thing a couple of hundred dollars and convince themselves that maybe this is not a scam after all.
The lies we fell for easily are the ones we tell ourselves.

This is the best Joe-posted thread that Joe has ever posted, thank you Joe. It's so great that Joe took time out of his schedule of building his store and not posting on these forums to create a really elaborate and time-consuming hoax. Thank you Joe.
Why do we think this was Joe again?
Haha, I even have the Guiness LE pack with those guys on the cans of stout...couldn't drink the stuff, though, it made me ill.Originally Posted by classicb
Very much unlike this thread! ROffelZ S++ RANK would read again.
Also, @ the guys saying "oh we knew this was a hoax since..." Sure ya did. Well, maybe that's a sign that DPers are getting more socially aware..?
Bah. I thought it was a hoax but I was really lost with all the posts going here and there.

Where did you get the screenshots from?
Hey, that was an awesome hoax! Thanks, man! I get your point about offering fake protos!
