Can you play Wifi on your DS with dial up? I need to know if it will work before I spend 30$ on a dongle. Thanks.

Nope, high-speed connections only. This is directly from the Nintendo store:
In order to use the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector, you will need:
PC (The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector is not Mac compatible)
Windows XP
A high-speed internet connection (such as DSL or cable)
A Wi-Fi compatible Nintendo DS game
and, of course, a Nintendo DS.
Man that stinks. Is there anything coming out that will let me play Wifi on dial up?
Probably not. Highspeed connections are getting more and more common, as well as having a high demand. There isn't alot of profit in dial-up anymore which means the demand for dialup compatable devices is falling. Sorry your out of luck until you get highspeed.Originally Posted by snes_collecter
Well, shoot, I've got all hyped up for nothing. Good thing I didn't already order a dongle. Count me out for Wifi guys
Windows XP only? What cave does nintendo live in?Originally Posted by philosophyst
Not only are there way too many 98/2k systems still out there...
No mac or linux support?
I expect this sort of move from microsoft, not nintendo. Nintendo usually has some pretty top notch CS....
