The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
Works for me! Interesting, I'm gonna save this to read later. :)
a very nicely done and detailed FAQ, i didn't realize that tec toy did so many game gear ports to the master system, how do these games look on the master system considering that it has a lower color palette than the game gear?
Average to poor, certainly with the GG ports. Some screwy colours here & there and occasional glitchiness with some titles (Sonic Blast & FIFA both suffer in this respect).Originally Posted by Tan
Here's some of the better ones:
Dynamite Headdy - probably the best of the SMS TecToy exclusives, certainly of those I've got (all but 4). It's a Sega-developed conversion rather than a shoddy GG port.
Fire & Ice and Battletoads - both worth a look, butsince they were taken from incomplete European betas, there's occasional glitchiness and an unfinished feel to them.
Baku Baku - works pretty well, mainly thanks to it's simplistic nature.
StreetFighter II - this is a funny one - it's certainly an accomplished title in it's own right, but doesn't "feel" like SFII should. I do wonder who developed this, because it's certainly leagues ahead of the other TecToy "originals" [20-em-1, Ferias Frustrados & Castelo Ra-Tim-Bum, which are all awful].
