It's a pretty complex process. You have to de-solder the EPROM chips inside and throw them out. Then you need to write the game code (ROM) onto new EPROM chips, re-solder them to the board, and then re-wire the board.

So far I've only seen it done with NES but I'm sure somebody has done it with cartridge games for other systems.
It can be done with SNES too, but im not sure if its that easy as NES. I've seen Starwing 2 (Starfox 2) repro cart for SNES. Btw, NES have ROMS, not EPROMS. But ye, you have to de-solder the ROMs then replace them with EPROMs
