Few games I think that will retain their value:
Tales of Vesperia Premium Edition - XBOX 360
Infinite Space - DS
Rune Factory Frontier - Wii
Demon's Souls Deluxe Edition - PS3

For the DS;
Game and Watch Collection
Game and Watch Collection 2
They were given away for free, anything above $0.00 is an increase in value.
This isn't about when these games are still available (new) from retail. The topic was about titles from this generation that will hold, or increase their value over many years, or even a decade.
I could have had a second, or third copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga for $20, when Toys R Us was clearing them out, but I didn't see the need to own additional copies, because there was no such thing as Ebay at the time. The same could happen for a game like Sin and Punishment 2, if it didn't really get a huge print run.
I believe what Kellhus was talking about, was what games could he buy today, that would be worth more years after these consoles are dead at retail.
Agreed. In fact, it's almost none unless you're talking about sealed games or games that are just in very, very high demand that had very limited print runs. I would also note that Nintendo just dropped MSRP of the 3DS down to $169.99. Obviously, the days of Nintendo pricing not responding to real world conditions are over and gone.
That is, if anyone even wants them. I can't give my copy away.
Judging from the previous pattern of somewhat low print runs and high niche demand for Fighting games like Street Fighter 3rd Strike, Power Stone, Mark of the Wolves, etc. I can see Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom on Wii holding a decent value in the future.
