We ran a package about that Wednesday morning at the tv station I work for, funny stuff indeed
In all fairness, the actions reported here should've only merited one star at most. They said he was spotted by a helicopter, which should only happen after you get three stars.
He must've ran a few too many people over on the way home or something.
Did Jack Thompson pay this guy to do something this stupid?
With a humble heart, on bended knee...
that dudes insane. i like how hes kicking at the barred windows as if hes going to bust through them. seriously though what ever happened to covertly trying to steal something of little value. A full frontal assault might be a strategy better reserved for a bank robbery.
in terms of police chase costs for the helicopter you have all the following hourly costs to consider:
# Hourly Costs - These are the costs that vary directly with the number of hours flown, and are considered under the following headings:
# Fuel and Oil
# Scheduled Maintenance Labour
# Unscheduled Maintenance Labour
# Engine Overhaul
# Airframe Overhaul
# Airframe Lifed Items
add in the fact that this is owned and operated by a goverment agency who probably spends alot more due to poor financial management and you can rest easy knowing this would be thief is laughing all the way to the town coffers.
For lucky best wash, use Mr. Sparkle.

ive read a case where throwing a soda can at a police officer was considered assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, so i wouldnt be amazed if some bs charge regarding the assault in this case could be put forward [aside from assault, which it is].
its a strategy - charge a person with a high offense , get them to admit a lower offense.
Why doesnt this happen when the new Bratz game comes out or something?

He's a idiot.
Not to bright. I had an instance like this in my past except I did a hell of a lot worse (stole alot more, way more) fortunately I didn't resist arrest when called on it (after months of stealing) I spent 31 days in jail 40hrs service, a anti theft class and 2 years probation, that thanks to a good lawyer oh and I had to pay restitution. So yeah I learned a lesson got the help I needed for long standing issues and thankfully they even wiped my record clean I was facing a felony charge of grand theft originally.
Crime doesnt pay.
I haven't gotten into the GTA games I just can't
I used to work retail security and saw stuff similar to that over $20 pairs of jeans, $10 CDs, etc.
Hell, one time we busted an old guy for stealing some enemas (old people were much more likely to steal stuff, and they a lot of times took really strange items).
He had one of those canes with four prongs on the end and he started waving it wildly about, hitting one of the other guards and breaking the glass on one of the front doors. He ended up getting charged with shoplifting, assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and damage to property, all for merchandise that was probably worth $6.
I remember hearing about some woman stealing a pack of gum from Wally world and then being fined $300 after she got home.
