I have a lot of consoles too, including multiple consoles of the same type; if I fry a board I have replacements, if I don't I can sell them.

The biggest pain the the proverbial is that it is a pain to get bulky consoles out of their boxes or storage and hook them up with the stack of wiring they need to your television. I am getting around this with a universal portable system to include (eventually) about a dozen systems or more. This makes it far easier to play systems quickly and on the move. Started to document it on the BenHeck forum, making a MKII version now, will make my own website over next weeks and up it for all to see; I will post a topic here when ready...

    Sega Game Gear
    Sega Nomad
    Sega Master System 2
    Sega Mega Drive 2
    Sega Mega CD 2
    Sega Saturn

    SNK Neo Geo AES
    Sony Playstation Portable
    Sony PSOne
    Sony PSOne
    Sony Playstation 2
    Sony Playstation 3
    Tiger game.com

Quick explanantion- all systems are PAL except the AES (which is Japanese), and other systems where it being PAL wouldn't make sense (e.g. wonderswan). The two PSOnes are another story too- one is attached to a screen, whilst the other one was completely gutted a while ago to accept any and all PS1 games, and also outputs in NTSC (for some reason I can't quite fathom) but still takes a 220V power supply.

Didn't say it was an interesting story...
