I got it a week after launch in November '06, and always thought it was an amazing game. At the time, I thought it could be a candidate for best game of all-time. While I don't rank it that high, IMO it is an amazing game.

Put me in the kind of liked it but didn't finish it when it came out, but really like it now. I am currently in Dungeon 7.
I own the GC version and I found it to be easier than any other Zelda, honestly. I did get stuck for a bit in the sky dungeon, but that's about it.
I was never really bored, but I also didn't bother with all the poes and beetles.
The main complaints I have are that the warping left me relatively unfamiliar with the overworld, and the last dungeon looks awful compared to the rest of the game.
i would have given anything to see what that dyke splashchicks response would have been to this thread had she (probably he) not been banned

I got TW with my Wii on launch day and basically paid $ 250 to play this game a month early. I really enjoyed the game and played it through twice in a couple of weeks which for me is a lot. I thought the story was really good and some of the cut scenes were epic plus I thought alot of the character models were done really well. I'm sure I'm less critical of the game because its a zelda game but I have never finished majora's mask (I will someday) or Ocarina of Time (I co-played the game with my bro and he finished it).
I know that Windwaker got a lot of criticism and didn't sell as well and so the zelda team kind of stuck to the basics with Twilight Princess. Personally, I think that's what most people wanted, Ocarina of Time 2. I loved Windwaker and so I'm glad to hear that the next game is supposed to be another departure and switch up alot of the classic overworld/dungeon concept. I would actually prefer for them to wait until the next system comes out to launch a new game but that won't happen. Who am I kidding, this thing will get pushed back 6 or 7 times.
I have always been a fan of the Zelda games but I have to say this one made me sigh (dejectedly) quite a few times. It wasn't terrible but it was tedious and repetitive in parts.
So definitely not going to end up as my favorite game to run and play.
This and Mario Galaxy are the last 2 console games I ever beat. Mario Galaxy was actually fun but this one was like pulling my nails out. I would have given up on it if it wasn't for my wife nagging me to play it so she could watch. It's a weird feeling when you are happy to beat a game because you don't want to play it anymore lol.
