Not gaming related, but cool finds yesterday. Got one of those Radio Shack electronics learning lab kits, in box with manuals and a bunch of wires and components. Also a late Polaroid 600 instant camera, in a bag with one sealed pack of film. 3.99 each. I have always been a sucker for Polaroid cameras, I ended up with a hand-me-down as a kid and took a ton of pictures.

I made a very interesting trip to the Sanford Flea Market today (largest flea market in America! woo!).

I found out after travelling to Play-N-Trade that one of the local collectors/resellers/scalpers is making deals with the local store owners to buy all of the rare stock that comes in. He runs his own storefront at the flea market as well and makes his mother run the store. She has to call him for prices before selling anything! I could stand it if he was a decent guy, but he makes a complete ass out of himself every time he opens his mouth.

This means that I can only find good items at places that refuse to deal with him. Fortunately, a fellow collector that runs a store in the flea market dislikes him with a passion and forces him to pay marked up prices for items. The scalper decided to open a storefront right across the wall from him to put him in direct competition and put some pressure on him...

Hurray for drama! In any case, I stopped by the "good" store today to pick up a copy of Fighters Megamix for Baloo. I found much more than that today though, since I decided to save some money for this trip.

Why did they ever make those horrible plastic insert cases for Saturn? The ones with the cheap black support in the spine and the protector in the case, like with Mortal Kombat II? It leaves the spine/back insert open to the elements and just looks horrible.
