Half-Life 2 (via Orange Box).

Beat two games recently.
1. Evil Zone on Playstation 1 ("One Player Mode" with Danzaiver)
-This is NOT as easy as it might sound. "One Player Mode" in Evil Zone is a completely different animal from the "Story Mode." In "One Player Mode", you have to beat every single character in the game (including yourself) a total of 5 times each in what seems to be a best of nine format. By the time it is all said and done, you've got to win 50 fights which can take around 90 minutes. Not only that but you have to use every single move available for the character you are playing as at least once. You do all of this and what do you get? Just end credits to start with, since you can only see character specific endings in "Story Mode." However, doing all of this in "One Player Mode" allows you to unlock all of the voices and outfits for the character you are using. Not too bad, except you have to do this for every single character in the game to reveal 100% of the unlockable stuff. Pretty time consuming, especially if you lose a few matches in the process (which slows things down). However, anyone who has played this game and enjoys it will agree that going through all of this effort is worth the trouble. The unlockable outfits and voices rock.
2. Virtua Fighter on Sega Saturn
-Beat it this afternoon on Expert Mode. There are 8 characters in the game and I gave myself a self-imposed limit of 7 continues. I started with Jacky and worked my way to the next character on the left each time I used a continue. I was down to the last continue and character (Akira) when I finally beat the last boss. Good thing, because I promised myself that I would turn off the system if I lost with the 8th and final selectable character.

15. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (Wii) - only on easy without going through the comic missions (going to play through those soon, though).
Well, getting though some Sega CD games. As money is tight and I want to play with my new system, I have been playing these as burned copies. When money becomes more sufficient, I intend to buy most of my favorites.
Finally beat the Terminator. The last level is tough! Fantastic soundtrack, overall it is great run and gun game. Highly recommended.
I've also beaten Snatcher, which is as great as advertised. Playing with the Justifier is a must IMO (read below).
Then I was able to snag a Justifier gun recently for $5. After setting up an older TV, I have been having a blast with the old gun games for the Sega CD. Even the American Laser games, which supposedly aren't that compatible with it seem to work well enough. I've burned through Mad Dog McCree (an old favorite of mine from the arcades, then the computer version), and am slowly memorizing where all the civilians are in Lethal Enforcers. Bastards keep wanting to get shot!

Man oh man what a great game. Easily makes my top ten of all time

Dark Sol - To answer your qustion it's not as crazy as it seems, I use the last month or two of the year to clear games I have left unfinished from months or even years ago. Xeno II I only had about 2-3 hours left to play. Dragoon I played another 5 hours to complete it. Played another 4-5 hrs to beat Vandal Hearts as well.
And as for ToD I was saved at the first save in the last place of the game, played it for about 2 hours just past midnight and finished off the final bosses to complete this one.
space channel 5 and REZ for PS2
Beat Super Mario Land 2 and Final Fantasy Adventure tonight.

Nov 12th- Finished Super Paper Mario #26.
I've seen some of your recent posts in this thread, the "Finds" thread and in the "What Are You Playing Daily."
Just wanted to say I am very pleased to hear you enjoy the Sega CD system from the deal we did not too long ago. It obviously found a good home and a good owner and I am happy that it did.
crap, falling behind on posting my accomplishments.
Oct 13 - #44 - Cave Story (PC)
Enjoyable little freeware game that everyone should have played at some point since Aeon Genesis translated it and brought it to the attention of english speaking gamers. If you haven't played it yet, you really ought to. A bit more linear than I normally like in my Metroidvania-ish games, but overall really well constructed and some snazzy bonus stuff to find.
Nov 10 - #45 - Transformers: Autobots (NDS)
Controls are a bit meh and the graphics aren't too hot, but generally it's a somewhat enjoyable game. There's some massive difficulty spikes that mostly revolve around the control just not working out too well.
Nov 11 - #46 - Bioshock (PC)
Yea, it's the bee's knees. Sure, it's just System Shock 2 in an aquatic setting and with the difficulty ratcheted way the fuck down, but that doesn't stop it from being pure awesome all the same. The voice work in particular is mind blowingly well done. Don't see that getting enough love and it's a damn shame.
Nov 14 - #47 - Sam & Max Season 1 Episode 1: Culture Shock (PC)
Fun little point n click adventure game. I've always loved the humor of the Sam & Max comics and the Lucasarts game and this sucker does it right. Slowly working on Episode 2, but they're generally fairly short games. Episode 4 is completely free right now if anyone wants to give the series a whirl and see what it's all about.
Nov 21 - #48 - Swashbucklers: Blue vs Grey (PS2)
Akella's latest pirate game, only this time set during the American Civil War. The game is only about half finished with large amounts of content being rehashed over and over (there's only 3 generic ship captains to fight, 2 ship decks to fight on, two generic boxing opponents, etc etc etc) and none of the gameplay systems are terribly deep or fleshed out, but it's still a reasonably fun game. Graphics in particular are pretty nice and the tongue in cheek writing is fairly entertaining.
Hopefully I'll be adding S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl to the list soon, but we'll see.
