It's time to post your Turkey month finds!
Here's a picture of most of the stuff from yesterday (not pictured are a Gamecube 251 memory card and a PSOne Analog Controller; Power Dolls is pending a trade.):

And here's today's finds:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/2007-11-01.jpg
Total cost? $5! Sonic CD is mint, Beyond Oasis has a kinda beat up box but is complete, too. In case you're wondering why Shining Force II isn't there... well, I found the cart, but it was completely destroyed. The case was cracked and the circuit board was snapped in a corner. :(

I've got some decent stuff to start the month off with, all from the local flea market. I haven't seen much in the way of nicely priced NES games as of late but that all changed on this day. There's one seller on the end of the rows toward the middle that usually has a few video games, complete Saturn sports games, that type of stuff. I don't think I've ever bought anything from them because I recall trying to one time and the prices were crazy high. Well this time I took a walk over and found some boxed NES games. I looked them over and then noticed a couple more underneath some clamshell VHS kids movies. I then noticed a complete stack of more that were blending in with the stacks of clamshell VHS movies. In all I found seven so I took them up to the lady running the lot and she said they were $3 each after asking if they were the "old" Nintendo games. I get them for $2 loose with my import buddies so that's a great deal. I assumed she would ask $5 at least, it was a nice surprise although she wanted $21 - not $20 as I was later thinking she would round off to. What sucked is there was a guy there that started yacking the eBay crap, but all three of us agreed that this wasn't eBay and it's too much crap for a few games only to get stiffed when it comes time to pay. Most games are missing the docs but the cartridges are mint and the boxes in good shape. Many are taped at the bottom but don't require it as the bottom panels are all there...
NES - Double Dragon (missing docs, wear around top, bottom taped)
NES - Fester's Quest (missing docs, wear around top, bottom taped)
NES - Gauntlet II (missing docs, bottom taped, near mint otherwise)
NES - Ninja Gaiden II (missing docs, wear around top, bottom taped)
NES - Snake's Revenge (missing docs, small tear on front, bottom taped)
NES - Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacular (complete, bottom taped, mint otherwise)
NES - IronSword (missing docs, tear on back from hang tab, bottom taped)
I was also able to pick up complete and mint copies of Family Feud and Jeopardy! 25th Anniversary Edition for $2.50 each from another seller...
NES - Family Feud (mint complete)
NES - Jeopardy! 25th Anniversary Edition (mint complete)

Double Dragon and Fester's Quest were missing their box foam so I cut a replacement piece for each. If anyone is interested in these, let me know, I may sell them.
Aside from that it was just a few quick pickups from different sellers. I got a Palm Portable Keyboard for a buck. The Joycard Sansui SSS was $5.00 along with the loose copy of Bugs (which I later remembered is worthless).
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2007-10-30(02).jpg
The Joycard Sansui SSS was manufactured by Hudson, it's an NES controller with an RCA audio plug at the end. This goes into the composite audio out on the NES. Then you have a headphone jack on the control pad which outputs dual mono audio with a volume control on the control pad itself. There's also a "sound shift" mode which increases the volume in the left or right ear in respect to pressing left or right on the directional pad. It also features turbo settings for the B and A buttons. I need to clean some grime out of the headphone jack (it's only outputting to both ears when the plug is inserted half way) but after that it should be fine.

Neo Geo Pocket Color w/ Bust A Move- $4
This was a close one...I was at GoodWill last night and saw it the glass case. Two guys were already there though and got to check it out first, even playing the thing for about 10 mins. Apparently the guy got board with it and put it back, so I got to get it, but I didn't think I would.
It's pretty rough shape though, but I've been wanting a second NGPC awhile for CFC. Now to just find a link cable...

Well, finally found a shop after work that sells the old-school stuff. I saw that they had a couple of loose Master Systems and a loose Saturn in the case, and I nearly lost it.
I bought a couple of complete Saturn games, 3 for $15:
All-Star Japan Pro Wrestling featuring Virtua Fighter (Japanese import)
Mansion of Hidden Souls
Sega Rally
They also have a complete copy of Marvel vs. Street Fighter for Saturn for $34.99, but I didn't have that much on me, so I'll have to go back and check it out again soon...

Since I just noticed this new topic, I'll post my find here (Game-X-Change):
- .hack//Mutation (PS2. Complete and in very good shape): $20
Passed up:
- Banjo-Tooie [NOT FOR RESALE] (N64. Some label damage): $15 (As much as I wanted to get it, I only had enough for .hack (And the original .hack games are a bitch to find in my area))

Although this technically was bought in October, I found a Dreamcast kiosk on Craigslist for $50. Was rough when I bought it, but I've done extensive cleaning and buffing and made it look pretty damn good. A pretty good score I think...

Stopped by a Savers today and found Night Trap for 3 bucks next to a Justifier for 4, and a model 1 Genesis w/ model 2 SegaCD for $35 (which I passed on). the game is in very good condition; can anyone tell me what it might be worth these days, as I didn't see this version sold on eBay? Likely it will be for sale/trade, since I don't have a segaCD or intend to collect for it.

Harvest Moon: A Wonder Life(GC CIB) $12
Been eyeing this one for awhile and since GameStop lowered it's price I finally picked it up. Never played a HM but I'm a big Animal Crossing fan so I have high hopes. Ofcourse though at GameStop the girl put HM Magical Melody in there so I had to walk back up there and get the right disk.
Also found a couple loose NES games that I didn't have for a buck each:
Phantom Fighter
Iron Sword: Wizards & Warriors II

Imo, Spanky's Quest is one of the most underrated SNES titles out there (bonus points for Spanky being a monkey). If you haven't played it before, spend some time with it as soon as you can.

I think that might be the 32x version.
If I'm reading the DP guide right, this is the rarer (R6), but cheaper second release. Guide says 20 for this, 30 for the original release (R4).

That looks like the 2nd cover of night trap. The one I had as a kid was the first run print, with the woman screaming. The one you have found is the rarer version I believe.

edit: On a side not, I am pissed at Gamestop for putting Platinum Hits games in original release cases. This is the second time I've come away with games that they have done that with.

Suikoden Tactics was an ebay purchase for $10 shipped. Manhunt 2 was $29.99 at Sam Goody and the receipt kicked in a $10 mail in rebate (cool). Found the Caligula uncut for $2 at a pawn shop.

Stopped by the flea market on the way home from work this morning. Picked up a few Genesis games:
American Gladiators (CIB) $1.25
Asterix Great Rescue (CIB) $1.25
ToeJam & Earl (CIB) $1.25
Shining in the Darkness (CIB) $1.25
We're Back A Dinosaur's Tale (CIB) $1.00
Mickey Mania (Cart,Box) $1.00
32X Brutal: Above the Claw (CIB) $1.00
But the best find was at one of the first tables I looked at. I caught the guy unpacking his stuff and noticed some interesting stuff on his table. I found a Panasonic brand 3DO controller and an NEC TurboExpress. I asked him what he wanted for them and he told me $10 for the pair!
I got home and tried the TurboExpress out and it works fine. No typical weak sound and only 2 stuck pixels. For less than $10, I consider it a great deal.

Goodwill haul! Most of this stuff looks NEW. There's some surface scuffs and stuff on the 3DO games, and the manuals bounced around in their boxes a bit...but, the stuff LOOKS NEW.
3DO
Creature Shock
Daedalus Encounter
Jurassic Park Interactive
Samurai Shodown
Shockwave
Shockwave 2: Beyond the Gate
Super Wing Commander
Way of the Warrior
Wing Commander III
Genesis
Side Pocket (missing the top flap, but otherwise looks new)
Sports Talk '93 Joe Montana edition
PC
Death Gate
(Dragon Lore - gonna swap Joe Montana for this)
Total cost...$50 something...I really shouldn't have because I need to make a payment on something. However, I couldn't let that all go...just couldn't...I don't really want to sell SC2 or the Shockwave/Wing Commander games, nor am I selling the PC game. That said, I've got some obligations to meet, and no money, arrrrgh.
I also received my $121 black DS Lite in the mail today. Fantastic system, but I hate the d-pad and the Konami Arcade Collection wasn't really playable (although the extras and setup were worth the price I paid, roughly $15 for just the game + s&h from Japan). I'm holding my breath to see how well Contra 4 will play on that tiny d-pad and with the screens slightly out of alignment even when the thing's opened all the way...

Picked up Wizards & Warriors for NES yesterday at the local thrift for $3.
Passed on Jet Grind Radio & Sega Rally 2 for Dreamcast... the discs were totally spotless! If anyone wants them, PM me and I'll go grab 'em for you. But I will only trade for them, kekeke. :)

Not a bad genesis lot I got at the goodwill for $25 though I was surprised there were that many SMS games and only 4 genesis games. Too Bad all the games were loose but it did include some decent master system games I don't own.
System:
Genesis model 1 (first run model 1 with no license screen), controller, rf and a/v cable, and ac adaptor
Power Base Converter
Genesis Games:
Golden Axe
Lion King
Altered Beast
Nba Showdown 94
SMS Games:
Fantasy Zone 2
Fantasy Zone the maze
Phantasy Star
Cloud Master
Miracle Warriors
Great Baseball
Great Golf
Monopoly (well, Mono Poly as the cartridge's label calls it)
I was shocked to see this at this goodwill considering I found another genesis system and 23 games a week earlier for $30, kept the games I needed and the rest of that lot is on ebay for anyone that cares to look (a little self promo)

Thought this was pretty cool. Don't know if they are any good yet, but for 3.15 you can't really go wrong.

Well now I have some "finds"..
I found most of the cases for my AC/DC Cds! Now the only things i'm missing are the back insert for "Blow up your video" And the booklet for "Dirty deeds done dirt cheap". Other then that, I have everything as far as AC/DC CDs are concerned (Except for the Bonfire set)

I placed an order for TZD for the following:
Duo pad
Duo Tap
JB Harold Murder Club
Buster Bros
Shape Shifter
I decided to pass on the Dungeon Master game. The total came to $65, which is pretty good.
However, I went to radio shack and picked up a replacement duo ac adaptor. 30 bucks, which is pretty pricey.

Awesome day at the flea market although I feel like I spent way more than I really should have. Oh well, let's tally this stuff up and see just how much damage was done.
Sy the miscellaneous junk dealer didn't have much today but then again I can't expect a $5 TurboGrafx-16 bundle every week. I picked up a couple books from him for a dollar each, both of them I've enjoyed in the past. Steal This Computer Book 2 was an interesting read and a good reference from the end of the dotcom era and of course Skyguide is still my favorite astronomy reference since elementary school.
Steal This Computer Book 2 ($1.00)
Skyguide ($1.00)
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2007-11-06(01).jpg
Next was a guy with a bunch of boxes of miscellaneous, $1.00 any item. There were more than a few knots of wires so of course I dug through them. He had quite a bit of good merchandise and amazingly he was sorting it out and untangling cords while I was there - but kept the cheap price on everything. I hit the motherload here.
PC - Serial Trackball with PS/2 Adapter (for MAME) ($1.00)
TG16 - TurboGrafx-16 Power Supply ($1.00)
SNES - SN Programpad Contol Pad ($1.00)
GEN - Genesis Model 1 Power Supply ($1.00)
GEN - Sega Six Button Turbo Control Pad ($1.00)
GEN - Performance Super Pad ($1.00)
GEN - JVC X'Eye Control Pad ($1.00)
GEN - JVC X'Eye RF Box ($1.00)
Yeah, that's right, both the JVC X'Eye branded controller AND the RF box. While the RF box is the same as the original PlayStation RF adapter, this is the one JVC included with the X'Eye. These two items complete my JVC X'Eye, over the course of three years at the same flea market. System ($2.00) + Power Supply ($1.00) + Controller ($1.00) + RF Box ($1.00) = $5.00 for a complete JVC X'Eye setup. :) The TurboGrafx-16 power supply was from another vendor, which completes the TurboGrafx-16 I picked up a couple weeks ago.

A pair of $1.00 items at yet another "everything is $1" boxes of miscellaneous seller. The little Tetris game is licensed and actually nicely designed and plays the Nintendo Tetris music. Responsive and fun to play as well. The Magic Key allows NTSC (USA) NES games to run on PAL (European) consoles. I really have no use for it what so ever but it was boxed complete, looks brand new, and was a buck - how could I not grab it? I suppose though that the cartridges can be switched and it would then run UK games on a USA console. Anyone have information about this or have one of these? Anyone want it?
NES - Magic Key ($1.00)
Tetris LCD Handheld ($1.00)
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2007-11-06(03).jpg
Then it was time for some NES finds, the primary reason I go to the flea market honestly and my favorite system to collect for. These came from different vendors at different prices.
Jeopardy! Junior Edition ($2.50)
Road Runner ($0.75)
Shinobi (with Tengen sleeve) ($4.00)
Super Spike V'Ball / Nintendo World Cup (FREE)
Tetris ($2.50)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II ($2.50)
Vegas Dream ($2.50)
The guy that had Shinobi also had a copy of Super Cars but I hate that guy, his NES games are always $4.00 and he absolutely won't budge - he's also an ass. Stupid idiot dropped cigarette ashes on a bunch of his games and didn't even notice / care. Free game was in a trade (read below). Jeopardy! Junor Edition and Shinobi will stay with me while the others will be sold. I sold Tetris and TMNT II to my brother just a few minutes ago for $10.00.
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2007-11-06(04).jpg
A couple other little things. The copy of ReBoot for the PlayStation has been sitting there for what seems like months so I finally figured I'd grab it since it was with a pile of music CD's, was $2.00. I don't like buying incomplete PlayStation games (it's missing the booklet) but I made an exception. The Day The Earth Stood Still DVD was $2.00 sealed. Ecco the Dolphin and Gadget Twins were part of the trade I did with my friends, the two Chinese gentlemen that sell games. I gave them six PlayStation games I acquired in a large box lot awhile back - stuff like Command & Conquer, Hexen, Soviet Strike and was content with trading for three Genesis games. The vendor told me I could pick one more game from the $2 range (Genesis / NES) and I grabbed the copy of Super Spike V'Ball / Nintendo World Cup. Ecco Jr. was from the same guy I got Road Runner from.
DVD - The Day the Earth Stood Still ($2.00)
PS1 - ReBoot (missing booklet) ($2.00)
GEN - Ecco the Dolphin (FREE)
GEN - Ecco Jr. ($0.75)
GEN - Gadget Twins (FREE)
GEN - Pac-Man 2 The New Adventures (FREE) - not pictured
Pac-Man 2's board is broken across the connectors at one of the corners, something I didn't notice when I grabbed it. The break is across four of the connectors, running diagonally so it's pretty much a lost cause. It also appears that the board was krazy glued into the cartridge shell since there looks to be some residue down there. I didn't bother opening it when I was cleaning all the others but I may check it out tomorrow out of curiosity. I'll trade it back next week, which is never a problem, just bummed because I really wanted to play it.
http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2007-11-06(05).jpg
So let's total things up... $31.50 - $10.00 from resale = $21.50 total spent. Well, I guess that's not bad at all. Seems that it was dollar day for the most part.

Yeah, I saw it in your thread awhile ago and was thinking of PMing you about it. (just a few days ago actually) Thing is I really didn't have much desire to run one down, knowing I've crossed paths with them in the past I knew I'd find another one eventually. That and I use Performance Super Pads as my primary Genesis controllers anyway.
I really didn't need the JVC X'Eye controller, but for $1.00 on the spot how could I not take it. Same thing with the RF adapter, don't use it, but it's there for $1.00. Same reason I have a Genesis LaserActive controller but no LaserActive - how can you pass this stuff up when you find it super cheap. LOL

Finally something I really wanted (top of my Genesis want-list actually)... Contra: Hard Corps for 4.80 @ Goodwill CIB and in excellent condition. I know it's nothing super special but it got me excited (more than I would have if I bought if off someone). Passed on Brutal: Paws of Fury (R3) for Genesis for $4.99
EDIT: Later in the day, I made my final rounds at the thrift/pawn/comic stores before I leave Florida. And here's what I found in addition to Contra that I picked up earlier today. None were super great finds, but I wanted to find some games for my recently purchased 2600, and I got that King Arthur confused for another King Arthur related SNES game thats an R6 in the Rarity guide (this is an R3).
Starmaster (2600) $3
Missile Command (2600) $3
King Arthur's World CIB (SNES) $5
Sword of Vermilion (Genesis) $3
Dig-Dug 2 $4 (R4)
Nintendogs (DS)- Guess the price!
Nintendogs is kinda fucked up on the back of the case though, which is something I didn't check at the time... everthing else is in good shape. It's a shame because I was gonna ebay it eventually. If anyone has a copy of Contra III- no matter what the shape, I'll trade you for it...

you dont need genisis cables you'll need MEGA DRIVE cables. witn no servicable parts inside i am guessing its a dev console like some one stated, its strange theres no japanese writing on it and it says mega drive at the same time. got any imports? try them with your US games

The console was built by a British company. See the separate thread I posted on this forum for a bit more info.
The cables should still be the same, but I dunno about voltages...

Um.. they're the same thing. Also I'm guessing this is a US dev unit since it has a Sega CD (not Mega CD) drive. Since the JPN Mega Drive was out before the Genesis stateside, I'm sure they used the existing Mega Drive logo in the dev hardware. This stuff rarely gets a revision so when the SCD combo units were shipped out to developers they probably didn't see any reason to change it. That and the JPN Mega Drive cartridge slot is wide enough to accomodate all region cartridges and this unit should be multi region. Also "no user serviceable parts" is prited on nearly EVERYTHING.
EDIT: Here's the tread Kitsune was talking about (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=108851).
