White Label?
Wtf is this?

white label
sold out software
xplosive
liquid
reloaded

They take games (usually old ones) and fako rerelease them, not sure if they have the permission to do so o_0 don't think so.... They use dvd style cases where and most of it is covered with their style except for the front cover which is 90% covered by the original cover of the game, basically just like that that one looks like ;p

After the feedback I got in the thread that I posted about the PS3 overheating I decided to pick it up. Everything is in great shape and I have had it on for over 6 hours today and I haven't had a single problem.

Nice find on the PS3. You got the useful model! Only thing you're missing with the 20gb is wifi and the card readers. Those are going to get valuable soon, or at least keep their worth, given recent model revisions.

Sold Out Software, White Label and XPlosiv are all European budget publishing labels. Sold Out is part of Mastertronic (a huge British label) and is known for selling most of their games for five pounds each; XPlosiv is part of Empire Interactive (which publishes games in Europe and America); White Label is owned by Virgin Interactive. I own a couple of XPlosiv-branded releases, and they're both legit.

I've never stumbled upon a "Reloaded" brand, however.

These versions are cheap because they rarely include a printed manual. They're just the game in the DVD case (with a PDF manual).

(I've been at MobyGames for far too long... I'm starting to learn all this stuff without realizing it, oy.)

Banzai water slide for my daughter for 75. Cost 350 new, only used 3 times. Anyways, no game stuff today. Did see a 360 HD player at a Kmart, but the old guy working the counter said it was 199.00 I was like didn't they go down, he was like nope its 199. I pretty much laughed all the way out the store. I would of asked to scan it, but I already have 2. Weren't they like 6 dollars recently? I remember picking one of mine up for 12.

I have a couple too, like the fallout collection, I prefer the original though. Nice to know they get the license though ;p Reloaded does about the same shit I believe, they all seem to be the same :P

I've only seen them for $39.99 at the only store that still has any in stock, Fry's Electronics. And they were blowing out their HD-DVD selection for something like $11.99 each. I don't have an HDTV, so I haven't bothered picking one up. I'll probably get one in a few years once I start seeing the movies pile up at flea markets for a buck or two each, kind of like Circuit City's ill-fated DIVX players and movies several years back.

I was able to grab Metal Gear Solid 2 and Hot Shots Golf 3 at the local Goodwill. Both complete, both in great condition and both for $4 each.

They also had Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas there, but I didn't pay it much mind (had my arms already full of CDs at this point). As such, I probably wouldn't even know if it was the infamous Hot Coffee version or not.

SA last night:
Myst: The Book of Ti'Ana - $1, not pictured, paperback

Play N Trade last night:
Overlord - $5
Xexyz - $3
Starflight - $3, no manual

Church thrift today:
PC Joystick - $5, they also had two green ones with just 2 buttons for $1.50 each, which I might get for Virtual On if they have them next time. This one's purple, >_<.
7x GB Case - $0.25 each. Three were marked $0.25, and four were marked $1, so I asked and they marked them all the same.
Palm Zire M150 - $10, thought I could put game lists on it, but turns out to have only 1.8mb ram. I can still use it for game notes and such.

Bought at a Movie Trading Company store in Fort Worth...
Starblade for the 3DO, complete - $3.99
Solar Fox (2600), Phoenix (2600), Venture (Intellivision), and Centipede (Colecovision), all loose, $1.99 each.

If there's game collectors in the Fort Worth area, they've got a pretty good selection of 3DO, Saturn, Sega CD, and Dreamcast games there. Of course, they know how much games are worth (other than Atari games, which they don't have in their computer system and therefore only charge $1.99 each for, regardless of rarity) and price them accordingly. They had two copies of Power Stone 2 for the DC, but I put them back once I saw they were $40 each. They also have Marvel vs. Capcom for the DC, same deal.

If you're into Game Gear games, the Movie Trading Company in Duncanville has the proverbial shitload of games there. I've never seen that many Game Gear titles in one place. Too bad I never got into the console. The Lynx spoiled me for any other portables.

sometimes they don't know what DC games are good thank goodness.

I found 2 copies of Mars Matrix for $9.99 and 1 copy of Giga Wing 2 for $9.99 there, but the rest of the DC games were definately high ebay prices

But they do get a nice selection of games once in a while. If you find any TG16 games they are usually $3.99 also doesn't matter what they are

It's pretty generic, about what you'd expect from an SNES-era platformer based on a Nickelodeon cartoon.

That game should have been a DoTT style adventure instead. With the level of social commentary and quirky humor that the series had, a comic adventure would have been perfect. Sadly, I don't think that Nick ever grasped the concept of a good game.

On of my game stores here had the Coca Cola Kid game(which I thought was amusing since they generally don't sell imports). So I bought it and it's a pretty basic side-scroller but I had fun playing with it. Perhaps thats because over night work can be very boring at times. I'm going to guess no but did they ever localize it for the US Game Gear, perhaps under a different name?

I've haven't posted much since I haven't had much money lately, but I lucked up when I ventured into Goodwill the other day. There were loose NES carts aplenty. Each of these was $3.25, which is more than what I usually want to pay, but after a good cleaning, they all work!

Monster Party

It's been a LONG time since I've posted finds but today I finally had a chance to get back out to the flea market. Of course the big order of the day was to visit with Shorty and actually that's the only place I spent any money. I looked through his stuff on the tables and grabbed a couple NES and SMS games. He had a box of Game Boy pirate multicarts that he said he'd sell me for $4.00 each. I went through a few of them with my GBA-SP, the most interesting one contained a hack of Super Mario Land with Pokemon graphics - Pikachu as Mario. There was another cartridge that had some pretty good early games on it but remembering that I barely play my other Game Boy multicarts, I set them aside.

While I was looking those over he said he had some 50 in 1 GBA catridges, which are the usual pirate multicarts that have the PocketNES emulator and a bunch of NES ROMs on a chip. He had two of them (granted he could of had more behind the display, which is common), both of which had identical game lists. I have a 22 in 1 NES on GBA multicart that I play quite a bit. I ended up taking the one that had a better label (the other was marked 56 in 1 with 50 written over the 56). What sold me is that it contains all great games, and only a few crazy hackjobs. Eventually I'll write up a full list but the only odd games / hacks are the SMB2 pirate called "Super Bros. 5", a Fintstones hack with Mario's head pasted over Fred's called "7 Grand Dad", the Burgertime hack with Ronald McDonald, and a Galaxian rework called Night Arrow. Other than that it's all great NES and Famicom goodness. Only one game is repeated, the USA and JPN versions of M.U.S.C.L.E.. It has Contra, all three Donkey Kong games, Nuts & Milk, Road Fighter, most of the black box NES releases, all games I enjoy. Again, I'll post a full list later in the week but if anyone is interested in this cartridge I can try to pick up more of them next time I'm out there.

After the GBA cartridges I asked him if I could go back into this storage shed and look over the NES games he had in there. It's always no problem with him since I've done so much business in the past few years. I didn't see much in the way of NES games but did give the area a good look around. In the other corner I saw the last of his Sega CD and 3DO games. He had a ton of complete 3DO that my big rival beat me too last year when I was still in the central valley, so all that was left were the three dozen golf games. He said anything over there, SCD and whatnot, was $1.00 each. At the bottom of a stack I found a complete copy of Dark Wizard. I also found a complete copy of Dungeon Master II (I loved the first on the SNES, clunky as it may have been). I transfered them into mint cases (plenty of untouched SCD sports games in there). Going through the last stack of loose 3DO games I found a disc only copy of Star Control II. Checking a stack of jewel cases I found the 3D controller pack-in version of NiGHTS Into Dreams for the Saturn.

That about did it. He also had a bunch of JPN dreamcast games - sealed JPN copies of Sonic Adventure, sealed JPN Elemental Gimmick Gear, sealed JPN Blue Stinger, sealed JPN World Neverland Plus (which did look interesting, but I should know better about buying text heavy Japanese games by now), sealed JPN Pen Pen Tricelon, a JPN copy of Phantasy Star Online and so forth. Nothing really stood out at me so I passed them all up. Any of those that I should dive on? Prices came out as follows, my SMS price seems to have went up by a dollar but he still cuts me a better deal than everyone else...

SCD - Dungeon Master II: Skullkeep (complete) $1.00
SCD - Dark Wizard (complete) (R4) $1.00
SAT - NiGHTS into Dreams... 3D Control Pad pack-in (complete) $1.00
3DO - Star Control II (disc only) (R4) $1.00
SMS - SpellCaster (complete) (R4) $2.00
SMS - HangOn & Safari Hunt (complete) $2.00
GBA - 50 in 1 NES emulation multicart $10.00
NES - Hollywood Squares (loose) $2.00
NES - Kid Kool (loose) $2.00

If you total those you get $28.00 but he cut me an even better price at $25.00. SpellCaster is to replace a loose copy, HangOn & Safari Hunt to complete a box SMS up for sale. Metroid and Tale Spin are for sale. Never thought I'd come across a copy of Kiwi Kraze just sitting there out in the open but sure enough that's where it was. There was also a HUGE gap in the NES boxes he had out on the tables, I fear someone cleared out some big titles. As you can see this is the ultra rare copy of Metroid, yes, this is in fact Justin Bailey's PERSONAL copy, says his name right on it! Now we know the source of the code! LOL

All in all a great day, I really need to try to get out to him at least once a month.

Good call on the Hang On/Safari Hunt. I just recently bought one off of ebay. Now I just have to sell my SMS on ebay before October when I can't put more than $15 to ship.

Hell yeah, Kid Kool.

Actually, that game can be pretty hard if you haven't played the living shit out of it before. You're running along and come upon a lake. Oops, no space to get a running start - guess I gotta die and remember that there's gonna be a lake next time. Ok, made it past the lake but now there's all these little pillars I have to cross. Shit, didn't make it. More of the same. It's like a game of fucking Simon.

I only bought it because it was the quest for seven wonder herbs.

How much does he want for Elemental Gimmick Gear?

InsaneDavid, if he had one of those GBA multicarts with all those awesome games for $4, I want one! ^^;

They were $10.00 a pop and you have the typical issues that PocketNES v9.6 (http://www.pocketnes.org/) has (since that's what it's running).

How much does he want for Elemental Gimmick Gear?

I didn't ask but for me it would have been $5.00 - $10.00 at most. Granted the shrinkwrap had some damage on nearly all the sealed games, just catching at the corners and stuff. However the obi was in there for each and considering the stuff he's had before, NOS Japanese Dreamcast games didn't surprise me a bit.

Please keep in mind the flea market is on the other side of town (http://www.sjfm.com/), is $6.00 for parking, and I can only get out there when I have a Saturday off. In other words there is going to be some markup as should be expected. I get almost a 60% price break off what he usually charges since I've done business with him for so long. There's also the chance that his inventory will be different next time I show up since he sells at different flea markets all week. He also said he just got back from a month long vacation, which would explain where a lot of the new multicarts came from. LOL

Amazingly enough he's the same vendor that I would buy tons of stuff from when I was living in the central valley. On the last day I was going to be at the flea market there (http://www.turlockfleamarket.com/) I told him I was moving, to which he replied that's where his base of operations is. We talked a lot more today and he grew up in San Jose as well, moved away for about 10 years, and then moved back - now that sounded quite familiar. LOL

Here's the list of games on the multicart by the way...

01. Super Mario 5 ("Super Bros. 5" Super Mario Bros.)
02. Super Mario 7 ("7 Grand Dad" The Flintstones hack with Mario's head on Fred)

Several days back at a Gamestop that just opened, all the GB games are loose:

CvS2:EO - Gamecube
Bonk's Adventure - GB
Castlelian - GB
Crystal Quest - GB
Super Mario Deluxe - GBC

The label on SMD is ripped and there is red writing of someone's name over Bonk's poor face but good finds otherwise.

Local Flea Market

The first vendor I ran into had a huge load of games, systems and heldhelds,PSP,DS etc..Games and systems from Atari 2600 5200,NES.SNES,PS,PS2,Xbox,to 360

I was very impressed at the pure amount of stuff to look though.it looked as if someone was selling off thier collection...it's been awhile since I've seen anything like it at a flea market.

Nothing was selling, nothing was moved..everything was lined up neatly....I came back several times to second look.
Nothing special,all common stuff..

Prices were Way too high for used stuff,no wonder nothing was selling..
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Another vendor had 4 sealed PS2 games/Choro Q PS2 GAME in the SLUS cardboard box...I was on this as I like the idead of 4 sealed games in a box..
How much $20.000 each...What??
..I knew it,as soon as I looked who the stuff belonged too..I knew he'd want that much each.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Old lady had some very old stuff on her table 5 common NES games in the middle
ohh those are very old.$10.00 each..
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Young kid selling some used sports Xbox games and Halo...I asked about Halo just to see what the kid said.
$25.00...He ran over with his eyes lit up like he had a sale.
I told my Dad,lil kid wants to rip me for his old game to get a new game..

.......
N64 system $15.00 but it had an RF switch(I have bad luck with N64 and RF switches)

.................................................. .................................................. .....
I didn't go with any intention of buying anything,I knew the prices were going to be high....I went for the hunt..As I passed up all the game stuff after asking prices my Dad says.what's wrong, that stuff doesn't interest you anymore?
..It does but not at those prices..loose common NES carts $5-10 I'm not crazy.
.
All I picked up was a Lego Star Wars set that's not made anymore..$8.00 sealed brand new..Dual ship set with three lego figures
This for my Son.but I've checked the prices on ebay for these sets and I know I got a heck of a deal on it.

Got a big umbrella FREE to use at the track,I had a TSMMR race on Saturday so this worked out great!!

My Dad picked up a Ms Pac Man Plug N Play $5.00,the one with the Monster/Ghost on the Joystick knob..

.................................................. .................................................. ..........................
One thing I noticed more and more about the flea markets,a lot of things are passed up..You don't see many people buying things because the vendors are NUTS..I listen to transactions go on and ridiculous prices for junk..people walk away real quick, even the vendors second price is Crazy as the seller tries to lure the buyers back.
