I said "the flyers says regular price 19.99-59.99 dollars. the bin is filled with 10 dollar games" she then says "they used to retail for 59.99" and I'm like "yeah...5 years ago, I wouldn't buy this game for 9.99 so why would I buy it for 15" she says nothing but looks at me like I just told her I like to fornicate with barn yard animals.

Finally, a find for December. I picked up a Saturn package that had been advertised on our for sale forum at work. I was really surprised that it wasn't snapped up before I got it. Here is what I got:

2 orange light guns
a generic ST-Key cart for playing imports

Games (all complete):
Virtua Cop 1 - US
Virtua Cop 2 - US
Galactic Attack - US

The total for all this Saturn goodness - $150.

Of course, some of the cases will need to be replaced, but all the games are complete with the exception of the spine card for the Japanese games. I will post a picture of the games later today.

I hit up Zellers to check out the deal. Walk up to the clerk and asked about it but she just points at a bin gives me a stupid smile and says merry christmas. I hit up this other forum, its about deals you can find here in canada. Apparently some guy bought 82 games from zellers just for re sale. Yet I...who would only want 2 to play...can't get the deal...funny how that works.

I did check out the pawn shop next door and bought Grandia 3 for the PS2 and Capcom vs. SNK 2 for the PS2 for 5 dollars each. So it wasn't all bad, I just would rather of got Gears 2 and Fallout. Its alright though.


Weak, but at least u got CvS2 for $5, I love that game.

See, I looked at coldb33r's sale, and he was not selling 80+ games. Sure, make yourself a little money and get some free games, nothing wrong with that, but when you do overkill and get 80+ games solely for resale, then it ruins the deals for all of us. Well, for you Canadian dudes it ruins it this time. This is why these misprint deals only ever happen once in awhile, because of the people that think it is awesome to buy 80+ games just to resell. I am hoping eBay gets flooded and 80+ games guy had to sell them for under what he paid.

Today, I picked up loose copies of Shadowrun for the Genesis, and River Raid II and Pete Rose Baseball for the Atari 2600. $4.95 for the Genny game, $1.95 each for the Atari games.

I also picked up Barbie Horse Adventures for the Xbox. That one's been next to impossible to locate in the wild, but I found mine in a Trade N' Play for $17.99. Another rare one to tick off my checklist.

In a Goodwill I found a copy of The Alphabet of Manliness by Maddox, a book that a guy at work recommended to me last month. Thankfully I only had to pay two bucks for it instead of it's original $15.95 price.

I just got back from a new (well, somewhat new) Goodwill in my area after leaving a very craptastic Salvation Army.

Didn't think I'd find anything, but to my amazement, sitting right there at the checkout counter was a brand new (yes, brand new) Sega Saturn system. It had a complete World Series Baseball II taped to the box as well. Price: $29.99

This is the first real find (always find beat up Genesis consoles for that price) in a LONG time. I still can't believe it was brand new. Of course I cracked it open and hooked it up :) Smells new and works new of course. Too bad I only have the one game (and the included sampler). Not complaining tho!

Hit up goodwill and it was a Sega day there I guess. I noticed a guy holding like 10 boxed Sega Games and I'm like "shit, I missed it" I check anyways and there was lots of games left...good games at that. I picked up...

I have a hard time playing it. With 6 different weapons to use at the same time, you almost have to be a 9 year old with 15 fingers on speed to be able to play it. That is why I usually stick to turn based RPGs. Hence the pick up of Shining Force III.

Today I found an Atari 400/800 version of Super Breakout complete in box for $1.99, and a loose Slik Stik joystick for $1.99. I looked all over but couldn't find anything else video game or computer related there.

I passed on an APF TV Fun pong unit for $4.94. I've already got one, but this one had the original AC adapter attached (or at least, I think it was). But I have quite a few pongs, and I really don't need duplicates.

I passed by a Rogers Video a couple days ago, and I decided to browse for the fun of it. I found Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity on the clearance shelf marked as $9.99. However, when the cashier scanned it, she said the price was actually $19.99 minus a 30% discount (so around $13 bucks).

At first she assumed that it had been accidently put in the used games bin and then mislabeled. But after I explained that I had found it in the clearance section, and that I had seen other games that were labeled $9.99 (crappy sports games), she sold it to me for the sticker price.

Now all I've got to do is find a second PS2 controller, and then I can enjoy some 2 player fun with my sister!

Picked up a few more things today. At the one KB Toys near me, I got SNK Arcade Classics Vol 1. for the PS2 for $10.50 after the 30% discount. Also, while killing time while my wife was Christmas shopping, I ran over to Game Crazy. They had a couple of clearance bins where I picked up a few things:

I really hate the fact I get so many games and never play them, but I guess thats just what happens when you collect.

Small pickup but a good price, four sealed copies of Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP. Ended up paying $7.50 for each.

Holy crap I just remembered I have one of these somewhere...
How much are these worth? I never bothered to look it up since I figured it was one of those worthless demo discs.

Didn't I say read my blog, lol. Anyway, it's one of the more uncommon PS1 demos and could get you anywhere from $5-15 complete. Mine is missing the disc sleeve:( If you want to sell yours let me know because I'm interested in getting a complete one too.

Picked these up at 40% off at my local Circuit City which is going out of business. (I did see a guy go to the counter with about 300 PS3 and 360 games in a cart.) Already had copies of the 360 games. As a matter of fact, the ones I bought are already wrapped as Christmas gifts. I've really been wanting the NHL09 but didn't want to pay the full price. Gonna see if Wal-Mart will let me trade this copy for a 360. If they don't, no big deal. I need to fire up my not-so-oft used PS3 anyway. Already had a copy of P4; I'll probably give this one away to a friend who hasn;t tried the series.
