The Zelda posters are cool. They are one of the few things I like. The mario game holder w/stylists and the mario book ends are kinda cool. I think I'm going with the Hana cards since they have a cool history and might be fun to play.

I may have an extra code available. My wife bought a couple of Starfy games for her friend's daughters. I took one code, but I don't think I can use a second one. I think I will have just enough points for the cards once I do a few post-play reviews. If so, I will let you guys know if anyone needs it. Also, Coldbeer, if you order the posters, I will trade you for the two you dont want. I have a huge trade list and I'm sure I have something you might want. LMK.

just fyi, if you have doubles of codes, you can create a sub-account and add them there. The points add to your master account total. I don't remember exactly how it worked, but I know I did it that way with some extras. Much easier than trying to trade, etc.

That doesn't really work as you say it does though:

You can register as many of any one product (systems or games) as there are members in your Family Account. Please note that only the first game registered will be eligible for the survey and Coins.

Thanks for bumping this thread. I hadn't checked into Da' Club since ordering the Mario Hat, and this jogged my memory just enough to return and blow another 800 pts on some Hanafuda cards. Will post impressions when they arrive.

I received the Hanafuda cards today. I've never seen any Hanafuda cards before, so I have no idea how these compare in terms of size, quality, or features ... so maybe this doesn't mean much.

They are much smaller than I expected, a couple of inches long. Maybe that's normal?

The card stock is a very nice, heavy and coated, with matte artwork on the front side. It seems very traditional, overall, with the Mario cast tastefully integrated on certain cards.

The cards come in a cardboard box with a Nintendo seal, along with instructions on very thin Japanese paper, and the whole thing is placed in to a plastic outer shell in Famicom red and gold with a Mario label. The outer container is the only part that felt cheap, lacking hinges and instead using molded plastic flaps that'll probably break off eventually.

I played a game of Koi-koi (?) after receiving the cards and enjoyed it. These do seem like a nice collectable item, though, unlike some of the other items Club Nintendo's offered so far.

I got my Game and Watch collection a few weeks ago after finally earning enough points. I originally wanted the Hanafuda cards, but I thought the G&W collection might be more fun. Next time I'll get the cards though.

The coins do expire, which is why it doesn't make sense to register anything unless there's something you want and you already have enough qualifying games to get what you want.

Why are my Coins listed with an expiration date?
Unredeemed Coins will expire two (2) full Club Nintendo years (July 1 - June 30), plus whatever is left in the current Club Nintendo year, after they are earned. Example: Coins earned in March 2009 would not expire until June 30, 2011.

God dammit. I waited for over a year to order something but never did. Just last week I ordered the Zelda posters which leaves me with 900 points, which isn't enough for the Mario poster and g&w 2.

I'll get g&w 2 and have to wait for the Mario posters.

edit: I got g&w 2. I actually didn't care for the mario posters.

I just wanted to jump back and say, whoever made the "commercial" for the Grill-off game was frikkin' high on acid or something. That was the trippiest thing I'd seen in a while.

I'm so glad that i've got so many post game surveys to do. Those alone should get me back to almost 700 coins (I started with 300 just waiting on me) before I've got to even add any new games. I'll easily hit 'Platinum status' again and get G&W 2 tonight. SWEET!

I have around 300 points or so on those "Post Surveys", but they are an ass to complete. For some reason, they are more monotonous than the regular surveys.

But heck, it's an easy 10 points and all I need is 100 points more for platinum. Still, I need to save up more points for next year...

Likewise, I'll be waiting until July 1 to do any surveys or to add any more codes. It is unlikely that I'll be able to get to 800 again for G&W2, but maybe. For the first one I had to call on all my family for codes, and at that time you could add multiples of games through sub-accounts within a family, which I'm told you can't do anymore.

Yeah likewise on the surveys... they all expire 2012 at the earliest for me so they will be used to reach platinum status if I don't register enough games before June...

I ordered the Game and Watch 2 collection. Finally something to use my coins on. I already had the import of the first one. I need to get the first US one at some point. I wonder if The first one will ever go down in coins?

I wish we'd get the Japanese Club Nintendo�s Classic Super Famicom Controller for the Wii. I saw one this weekend. Gonna have to get one soon.

I have extra codes for the Wii and DS if anyone would like to trade. Just shoot me a pm.

I Have just converted over from my old Registration to Club Nintendo. The only registered games that it let me complete surveys for was Animal Crossing and Super Mario 64. I'll need to go through my games and see if it will let me register them or not. I've been rather lax in registering my titles lately so I probably have a bunch more that will net me some more coins. I'm definitely interested in getting the domestic release of the Game and Watch Collection. Hows that good. You see it.

And I still don't know what to do with my 480 coins. Only thing I see is the Hanafuda cards, but that's still a long way down the road. Don't think I'll be making it to Platinum this year...I only have 320 elite status coins. And there's just not enough out that's good to buy for DS/Wii.

If the gold prize is another shitty calendar though, and the Platinum people get that Super Famicom Wii controller, I will be annoyed. I don't want this fucking hat.

Received mine today. Packaging by Nintendo's part was piss poor (just tossed in a bag), but it arrived in perfect condition.

I really like the "Parachute + Octopus" version, as it integrates both, which is really neat.

Thats how I got my Pokemon Box when I ordered it many moons ago. I was a *smidge* pissed to say the least.

The first one came to me in an oversized bubble mailer. DS cases are pretty sturdy so there really isn't much to worry about.

The new DSi XL I got, plus Spirit Tracks (which I completely forgot I bought) pushed me over the 800 coin mark to get Game & Watch Collection 2.

...and another edit, but I found a few games I forgot to register (ie Link's Crossbow Training and Fire Emblem for the DS) that pushed me over the edge for platinum status. Also, gave away the extra codes I had.

I got my posters yesterday and they are pretty nice. Nintendo mailed them in one of those poster tubes. I didn't find them when I got home. Luckily my dad was walking around the yard, and he saw this cardboard tube on the lawn. I guess the wind knocked them off my porch. I'm just glad they didn't blow away any further!

You do not. You are eligible for a free gift from them by earning either Gold or Platinum status for the year. You just simply have to choose which gift you want.

Thanks for posting this! I didn't get an email from Nintendo.

That platinum reward looks badass! I ordered it right away.

Plus, platinum members now have the option of taking the gold reward if they like. That's a nice touch.

You'd think Nintendo would take note of all the resale of that item on eBay ...

... but I guess ultimately Game & Watch was a ultimately a failure in the US Vs. Japan, yet they continue to release all the collections, and I assume they sell well enough (considering how easy they are to find in the wild).

Not sure where logic lies on this one ... but I'd love to see the G&W replica in the US Rewards so I don't have to order one from Japan via eBay.

The site was being really slow for me, I eventually got it to go to the page where it allows you to pick which you want (if you are Platinum, I was). I chose the Platinum award, and after a while of waiting for the page to load, it says at the bottom:

You are not eligible for this Elite Status Reward.

And at the top left it tells me that the figurine costs 0 coins and that my balance will be 0.0 coins after I've ordered. I had 1130 coins.

I got the gold reward this year compared to platinum last year....probably won't be getting any reward next year.

I want them to release that Super NES Virtual Console controller here so badly. I don't really care about this collector shit like Mario statues and hats that shouldn't be worn, and I don't want a DLC game as a prize either. Give me something physical AND useful Nintendo! Not just something that says "Oh, that looks cool", while it sits in my room.

Still want those Hanafuda cards, but I only have 580 coins. Meh, guess I'll ask for some of those nice-looking new Wii games for my birthday this year. Fuck G&W Collection 2 though, the first one was bad enough, I don't know why I got it, and now I can't get rid of it.

I was finally able to login , I only qualified for the calendar. The figures look awesome. Darn!!

Also my Black Wii Controller holder I ordered on June 2 is on backorder and I see now it is OUT OF STOCK. My order was accepted , but on backorder. Hope the fulfill it.

I ordered the figure as well. Looks pretty cool to me, better than the hat(imho). By the way, I noticed the Nintendo Wii Challenge they are doing at a few citys accross the US.

Did anyone sign up for the tournament in their area? Looks like it might be fun for a few giggles, plus my son(who is 6yrs old) will have fun. You can sign up now, I am sure they will run out of spots quickly.

I would imagine any new Nintendo published game in the past couple of years will have points along with it.

Check the Club Nintendo FAQ. They list every title before the start of Club Nintendo that's eligible for points.
