Lakerz Restaurant in Oconomowoc is an honorary DP member. To be honest, I like it more than I like most of you, no hard feelings. I'm going to go this weekend and find out how much it is going to cost to get a "Beef Min Games" banner made for Perkar and I's booth at MGC.

May I make a request?
I have one of these badges from CGE2K7 but no where on there does it say CGE. If it's not too much trouble, it would be cool to have something along the lines of MGC2K9 (or whatever) printed on it. That way when I'm old and senile I can dig through my "junk" and remember where I got this.

How about first names too?
The name tag design will probably need to be changed to incorporate all of this info, though. It doesn't make good use of space, and the "Retrogaming Roundtable" part is barely legible.

Just a quick update for everyone -- you'll be seeing an announcement on the site very soon about a new sponsor... Sony has joined us to help promote the fun of electronic gaming, and are giving us some great stuff to pass on to gamers who are coming out to the show. Not just will the door prize for one of the days be for a Playstation 3 with a copy of Killzone 2 (which I hear is absolutely amazing), but Sony is sending us well over 1000 t-shirts to give away to the first people through the doors on Saturday!
If you pre-order tickets, you will be guaranteed one shirt per ticket (or two day ticket) ordered, and we are only going to have tickets on sale until next week Friday, so if you've been thinking about it but haven't bought yet, now there is an even better reason than before to sign up!
We've got a lot more tricks up our sleeve this year too, as this will definitely be the biggest and best Midwest Gaming Classic ever! Hope to see everyone at the show!

Of course I say this and then realize that I was wrong about 20 minutes later when I'm out of the house...
*All* US based preorder tickets will be mailed. We've had a number of international ticket sales, and to ensure that the ticket purchasers actually receive those, they will be on 'will call' if you will at the show :)

I used a sick day today to clean, sort, and price the loose NES games I'm taking to MGC. Final count came out to ~90 loose, and ~50 boxed NES games. Also got a box of Atari stuff together, as well as another box of random Genesis, Master System, and other stuff. Another day of looking around the apartment and pricing stuff and I'll be ready for the mighty trek.

Just an FYI, the vast majority of my stuff will be $5 and under (not the faceplates though...got some rare ones). I'm also willing to trade/buy for complete Atari games that I don't have and merchandising VHS tapes/DVDs and other gaming VHS/DVDs that I haven't ripped yet.

I'm going to have a table 'o dev equipment in the museum (not for sale), and i'm hoping to steal a sliver of table space off of the fine gentleman at Beef Min Games to unload some betas.
I've got an extra set of Halo 3 Legendary edition stuff i'd like to get rid of cheap, ($15 for everything except the discs, including the box). I'm only going to bring it if someone is interested though.

I have some complete Atari games for you Kristine.

Spotted Cow is pretty excellent, although I don't recall Lakerz having it on tap. Traditionally, I think I've always drank Killians at Lakerz. Also, depending on how well sales go over the weekend, I imagine Perkar and myself will need someone to go on food/beer runs for us during the show, any volunteers for the job? :D

I agree and like everything I see except for the avatar. I don't have time to create 30 different badges. I can type the names easilly into Word and create them there. If someone wants to take that up, more power to them. I love the design, I'd like to see one with the DP logo centered,no avatar.

Rich,
All you would have to do is just create the customized inserts and send them to me as good quality image files. No need to print anything, I just don't have the time to create them all. For users that don't have an avatar, you can use a generic icon, Otto, or something else.

Wow, that's a steep shuttle ride. I rented a car from MKE for Friday - Sunday for a little less than that. I think it was $16 a day plus tax.
I kinda like the idea of the avatar being on the nametags. I tend to recognize those quicker than names anymore!

Using a Hybrid of Neuro's Last part of his badge and GWH's, I came up with this design. The Black works Great and offsets the name. White could easily be used as well if say you needed extras at the show and need to press some right on the spot. The name would out on the white just as well IMO.
