Amazing show. Was my 2nd and I could really see how much it grew compared to last year. Heard they're adding about 8000 square feet of floorspace next year, and I'll certainly be a part of it. Maybe I'll buy a booth so I don't wander over to Mad Gear's table so much.

I spoke at 3:00PM to a good sized crowd, then SOMEONE tried following me to my hotel room.
Um, I don't think I know you IRL, so maybe you could tell the story about why would they be trying to follow you, and what you were speaking about?

Hey all, just got back from unloading my half of the museum and catching up on some of the posts about the show at various forums. As one of the show's co-organizers and co-founders, I can't tell you enough how much it means to all of us at the MGC to see people report back how much they enjoyed themselves. We've always done it for the gaming fans, and will continue to do so, but its even better when all that we put in to it is so greatly received. Whether its all the work coordinating that Dan and Gary put in to show time, the awesome staff of volunteers we have, the event areas that keep growing thanks to fellow gamers, the people who are stepping up to bring stuff in to the museum by DHG and I, or even just you the attendees who make the show the incredible atmosphere it's become. Thanks for a great 2009, and here's to an even better 2010!

I had a blast! Got to show off my portable SNES systems to Ben Heckendorn himself and participate at the "benheck.com experience" table.
Apparently Ben REALLY liked my portable...

GREAT show! Next year hopefully I'll be able to get a room and stick around for the whole weekend and hang out with everyone more. Those of you I met for the first time, it was nice to meet you. Good to see everyone else. Now I just need to talk my buddy into moving his wedding..

Thanks for helping out in the museum area btw, didn't get a chance to say that before you left. It was just a madhouse in the hall that day, but thanks to you and others there was nothing stolen this year.

Yeah, i had some *expensive* items sitting out on the tables in the museum. I wasn't worried in the slightest, there was always someone standing around. The museum is pretty awesome.

It was great meeting with some of you at the show. I definitely was glad I decided to do the whole vendor thing. I had a great time just meeting and talkign to people. And coming in 6th in the tetris tournament.
Can't wait for next year.

I work for Hyperkin, and during my speaking time I unveiled the FC Mobile 2, Sega Pluto and Sega Gaia systems. Thumbnails are below. I brought along the prototypes and I doubt anybody would want the FCM2 proto but the one of a kind Sega stuff would certainly be in high demand.
P.S.: Anybody else stupid enough to eat those donut balls at the BenHeck booth?

As a vendor, my picture opportunities were rather limited this year, but I still managed to grab a few worth sharing:

Again, I could only get so many pics as a vendor, but they should give those of you who couldn’t go an idea of what you missed…so start planning now for 2010, the year you should make contact with the Midwest Gaming Classic!

I had a great time. MGC 2009 met and exceeded all of my expectations. I really hope to make it next year.
On top of getting to chat with many familiar faces, I also was able to meet many people for the first time.

I took mostly video...will have it up on my youtube page (check my sig) hopefully by the end of the week (i have a lot of video to edit). Lots of greats shots of the show floor and pinball/museum room. Unfortunately most of the footage from the party was horrible...it was way too dark in the room for the camera to pick up anything. Didn't notice till I checked it today.
Also had a great time. One of the best shows I've ever been to. Thanks again Ryan for hosting the party. Will definitely try and make it back next year!

I wish I could say sales went well for me,but saddly not one t-shirt sale(I can always carry them over to VGS in July) one guy kept asking about 2xl sized t-shirt, I told him I can either order for it for him or he can do it online. alot of people asked about the cafepress shop and VGS.
for those here who did stop by my table: for the 25,000 question:
Name the name tags I was wearing(not counting the vendor badge,AA bade or DP bade from this year) :)

Yes. Thankfully that, along with the Commodore PET and Compaq luggables, was among the many items that did not get to make the return trip home on Sunday. Don't know if the wife was happier to see the wad of cash I dropped on the table, or with the fact that I brought back less than half of the boxes of stuff I started with.

Perkar and I had a beer bet on whether or not he would sell his Carmen Sandiego, which he did. The show was absolutely spectacular. I ended up going home with 1/5 of the items I took with me, most of which has already been dumped off at the indie game store for additional monies. Got to meet some new faces including GoodwillHunter, Tempest, tofu, Icbrkr, Vectorman, Drexel, and many others that I can't remember right off hand. All in all, this was the best MGC that I have attended, regardless of the fact that 2k Monies was attained at our table. Beef Min Games 4-evar!

Arrg, you had a PET there? I would have gotten it if I knew that, been looking for one locally.
