One small suggestion: Would it be possible to close the vendor hall on Saturday at, say, 6pm instead of 8pm when the rest of the show closes? I barely had a chance to leave my table to go to the bathroom and I really wanted to check out the rest of the show. (Of course, being that busy was a GOOD thing so I'm not complaining at all! :) )

Actually, we tried doing this one year and when we went to shut down the vendor hall, the vendors with one single exception told us that they were selling too much and they wanted to stay. So... yeah.

As for people talking about vendors and people not being there / whatever, a few quick points:

1) I'm saying nothing negative about anyone that pulled out for legit reasons. We knew it might be a possibility, and it was handled fine. But, for those of you thinking we could have fit a "few more" tables into the vendor hall, you're right -- we could have fit four more in there.
2) We had to be more fluid this year for lots of reasons. If you didn't notice, we had a group from Japan vending too. They weren't 100% positive they could make it thanks to everything going on in Japan until basically they showed up. So, we dealt with it. It's what we do. Actually, it's what Gary does -- I walked through the vendor hall on Saturday, and almost no one recognized me. It was kind of awesome.
3) We have people slide into and out of spots every year, I have no issues with that at all. I'm certain that some vendors won't be able to make it next year.
4) The hotel screwed up the layout on one island and people were set up before we caught it. It made the middle aisle HUGE (near the left entrance) while the flow was bad in the back left corner. That was an issue, but because it almost made the back left look like a dead end, I think people are overlooking it.

Big thumbs up for MGC this year. I thought all the signs you guys put up this time really helped people find where stuff was squirreled away.

I also noticed that a couple other prominent vendors such as Warpzone and Ianoid were absent this year.

Ianoid was actually moving that same weekend, so he could not make the show.
