I haven't posted my finds in a while, since most of what I've been finding has been the usual fare: a few uncommon titles here or there, but nothing amazing -- mostly just filling in gaps in my collection. The last three weeks, however, have been absolutely on-fire for me when it comes to deals and interesting titles.

In fact, in 14 years of collecting old games, there is one particular game which I have always kept an eye out for, but never found. That ended on Sunday...

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/4nintendotn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/4nintendo.jpg)
N64 Beast Wars
N64 Rakugakids (EUR)
SNES Clay Fighter CE, $9 for all
N64 Spider-Man, $1.50

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/sharkcocoontn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/sharkcocoon.jpg)
Gameshark Guide, FREE
PS Jade Cocoon (complete), $3

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/tronfringekmfdmtn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/tronfringekmfdm.jpg)
DVD Tron 2-Disc Collector's Edition, $4
BD Fringe, The Complete First Season, $7
CD KMFDM - NAIVE (original Wax Trax version), $1

I just about jumped outta my skin when I saw Fringe. The guy selling it wanted $8 originally, but I asked if he'd take six. He said no, but met me in the middle at $7. I've been looking for this version of Naive for a few years, since it's the only one with the unedited version of Liebeslied. The insert is torn, and the disc has some light wear, but I'm still pleased as punch to find it.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/6nes00tn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/6nes00.jpg)
http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/6nes01tn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/6nes01.jpg)
NES Donkey Kong 3, Final Fantasy, Win, Lose or Draw, Deja Vu, Werewolf, Ghostbusters, Incredible Crash Test Dummies, Jordan vs. Bird, Totally Rad, Elevator Action, Days of Thunder, Mega Man, $10 for all

Most of these are kinda banged up, but they're all new to my collection, save for Mega Man and Final Fantasy. They were originally a dollar each, but I asked for a better price if I bought a bunch.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/homerclocktn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/homerclock.jpg)
Chia Homer planter (new), $1
Rubik's Clock, $2

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/3guides0tn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/3guides0.jpg)
Pokemon Red Version strategy guide
Pokemon Special Edition guide
Final Fantasy Tactics, FREE

The folks at this sale were putting things away when I arrived -- the same sale where I got the Chia Homer from. They said I could have these. Sadly, the FFT guide is completely loose; the binding is gone. However, it seems to have all its pages, so I'll probably just sort them, square them up and put them in an envelope. At least it was free!

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/4dc2psxtn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/4dc2psx.jpg)
DC Resident Evil, Code: Veronica
DC Dino Crisis
DC Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
DC Crazy Taxi 2, all complete, $16 for all
PS Theme Park (complete), $2
PS Final Fantasy Tactics (Greatest Hits, new & sealed), $4

While FFT is sealed, it has a hole punched through the upper left corner. Still cool to find it sealed, though.

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/2snes132x1sharktn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/2snes132x1shark.jpg)
SNES Toy Story
SNES We're Back!: A Dinosaur's Story, $3 for both
N64 GameShark v3.3, $1
32X Cosmic Carnage, $1

http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/earthboundandmoretn.jpg (http://www.killedaway.com/images/yardsales/earthboundandmore.jpg)
SNES Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
SNES Final Fantasy III, $6 for both
SNES Earthbound
XB Conker: Live and Reloaded (complete), $40 for both

Anyway, here it is. One of a select few games I've been seeking locally for over a decade. I've been refusing to pay the Ebay price which has sadly been steadily climbing for a while now. I caved in a couple times and tried to trade handsomely for a copy, but to no avail. Well, it seems my patience has paid off. I paid more than I wanted to, but I think it'll be a while before I find another copy, and I already have Conker, so I bought that to hopefully offset the cost a little.

FFIII and LttP are both dupes, and they're my second copy of each that I've found in the last six weeks.

I played Earthbound for about an hour and I really like it. I haven't played enough to decide if it's worth freaking out over yet (beyond finding the darn thing), but the humor in the game thus far is clever, and it feels pretty current. The art style is great! I'll definitely be playing it more today. Anyway, I'm delighted to be able to cross this title off my list of sought-after games, which is becoming pretty short now.

QuarkXpress 6.5 (Windows) - $4
I also purchased another copy of Creative Suite 2 Premium for $4, but the key was registered so it's worthless.

... And that QuarkXpress thing... I took a gamble. Turns out it sells for $350-ish on eBay if it's new. :o

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-02-16b.jpg
Left column, $1 each:
Alterno-Daze (80's V/A Comp)
Danny Elfman: Batman Returns score
Shaquille O'Neal: Shaq Diesel

Middle column, $5 for all three:
The Trip-Hop Test (v/a comp with Dust Brothers and other artists)
The Secret Museum of Mankind: Ethnic Music Classics 1925-48 (a ton of African music from that era)
Vangelis: Chariots of Fire OST

Right column, $1 each
Toy Dolls: We're Mad (the anthology) - no idea what this is but it looked stupid.
Xena Warrior Princess Multipath Adventures: Girls Just Want To Have Fun (Windows CD)

You're probably wondering why I got another copy of Shaq Diesel. Well, not only does Shaq's face inspire me to hurt myself, the copy I got yesterday was scratched to hell and I was going to get it resurfaced, but getting another copy was cheaper ($1 vs $2 for the resurfacing). And the Batman Returns score I already owned was beat up so this is a replacement.

That same booth had copies of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III and Iron Eagle soundtracks but the artwork had tons of sun fading. :(

Oh yeah, I actually saw that Alterno-Daze compilation on eBay last night while searching for other stuff and I thought, "Hm, might be cool to get it later." Ha.

Final Fantasy Tactics, FREE
I had hoped you'd given up since your finds were often quite good and overshadowed the rest. This recent post is no different - nice find here, particularly useful for a challenging game. I'd like to pick one these up in the near future (non GH version).

It's been awhile since I've found anything worth posting, much less worth taking pics of, but the last week or so have been pretty good to me :) So, here we go:

At Half Price Books yesterday:

http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/4292/dsc0910y.jpg

Iron Maiden "Piece of Mind" in fantastic shape
Iron Maiden "Run to the Hills" Maxi Single (German pressing) in fantastic shape too!
Swords & Serpents (NES) loose
Populous (SNES) loose but nice
Mace the Dark Age (N64) loose with a ton of stickers to remove
All for $21 and some change

Next, we have a trip to Movie Trading Company on Monday:

http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/456/dsc0911qc.jpg

Street Fighter Alpha 2 (Saturn) - nice except for a slight crack in the case
Platypus (PSP) - great shape complete
Both for $21 as well.

Now I have to go take a few more pics of my really big score this weekend.. :D

So there's a kid in the neighborhood that loves to go dumpster diving, scrounge at the dump, etc. and sell off the stuff he finds. Well he sends me an email saying he has a bunch of vintage game stuff that he's found and wants to get rid of. I do NOT really like the sound of "stuff I found at the dump" but he's a good kid so I go over to look at his stuff. He has accumulated quite a pile of "classic" stuff and then has a lot of new current items, like a DS and games, PSP and games, that he wants to sell as well. I tell him right up front that he's gonna get more for his new stuff on Craigslist than I'd be willing to pay, so we take the new stuff out of the running. He showed me the rest and I made him a lump sum offer, which he countered, and we settled on $80 for this lot:

http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/3923/dsc0913p.jpg

Here are the systems, dirty and incomplete. None have any wires or power cords, but they all powered up when I got them home. Now to clean them up and see if I can complete them somehow.

Super Nintendo Control Set - SNES deck is yellowed on the bottom half, but the controller is brand new - never removed from the original packaging. All manuals and styrofoam are in the box, and I wanted a box to display, so I was glad to get this.
Sega Genesis II and CD - dirty. Dirty. Oh, and dirty.
Sega Saturn - with the oval buttons, so I actually needed that one for my collection.
Sony PS1 - don't really need another one of these - try to give it away or something
The gem in this pic is definitely the SNES box controller and manuals.

http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/5579/dsc0919k.jpg

Lots of loose small stuff. Here's what is in the pic:
Wheel of Fortune Junior Edition (NES)
Iron Sword (NES)
R.C. ProAm (NES)
Off Road Challenge (N64)
Fortified Zone (GB)
japanese Yoshi game (GB)
Konami NFL Football (GB)
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 (GBC)
Razor scooter (GBC)
Donkey Kong Country (GBC)
Asteroids (GB)
Game Boy Advance SP (red) missing the ac, but he'll find it and bring it to me later
Mario Kart super circuit (GBA)
Lego Racers 2 (GBA)
ATV: Quad Power Racing (GBA)
Midways Greatest Arcade Hits (GBA)
Super Mario Advance (GBA)
007 Everything or Nothing (GBA)
Disney Sports Soccer (GBA)

Some interesting stuff, but the best is yet to come:

Sega Games all complete and in MINT MINT shape!! Here’s the listing:

Sonic the Hedgehog (GEN) x2
Gangster Town (SMS0
Hang On / Safari Hunt (SMS)
Ghost House (SMS card)
Jewel Master (GEN)
Dungeons & Dragons (Gen)
Thunder Force II (Gen)
Death Duel (Gen)
Ys III (Gen)
Traysia (Gen)
Master of Monsters (Gen)
I had no idea how rare some of these games are, especially in their mint, complete shape! When I first left his home, I thought I had overpaid, but I’m pretty sure I made out okay. And yes, the Genesis games were found in the dump near our house, but they are truly in mint, complete shape, so I’m glad he rescued them and was able to save them from certain destruction.

Sorry! I had sort of given up, since my interests tend to shift throughout the year, and when I get into my music (song writing, that is), I tend to abandon everything else, including video games. Recently, I had gotten back into toy collecting, and revisiting some old toy lines I used to own, so I wasn't being very aggressive when it comes to seeking out video games. It's warming up a little lately, so swap meets and yard sales are starting to pick up, and the majority of this stuff pretty much landed in my lap over the last two weekends, as I was mostly looking for toys.

Yeah, I've got two GH copies now, but I'm also looking for the original. Hate those green labels.

Thunder Force II (Gen)
Ys III (Gen)

Nice pickup, here! I've been hoping to come across Ys III for the Genesis, myself. Also, TFII is an amazing shooter, and one of the best on the system. It often gets overlooked in favor of III and IV, but the overhead segments of the game are terrific and super-challenging. Enjoy it!

wow now thats a story to go with the items

it some what pisses me off when people throw stuff like this away though
I mean they are good working condition and the games for instance in great working order shape..
and they toss them like they were broken

if anything atleast just donate them to the local thrift store or good will or whatever. Cause with these old items as we know once they are gone they are gone forever.

So give the kid a high five for me for saving gaming history with his adventures of dumpster diving.

So, I went into EB Games beside where I work to browse after my shift, and I noticed that they had finally dropped the prices on their used xbox games. So after buying what decent titles they had there, and visiting 2 other local stores, I ended up with this:
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b48/SamuraiSmurfette/IMG00150-20110216-2019.jpg
Averaged out at $1.61 per game. Fantastic.
(just realized though, I ended up buying 2 copies of Starsky and Hutch. Ugh.)

Also got a few other titles at EB/thrift while I was about:
Picross 3D: 8.49 after coupon and edgecard
Puzzle Quest DS: 2.29
PQ2: 2.29
Locke's Quest: 4.49
F-Zero/Pokemon Stadium/32X golf $1.99 each at thrift

This is something I have always wondered - why do people buy shite games? If I don't want to play it and it is not worth any money, why buy it? Take your post for example Smurfette, why buy all those games? Are you completing your collection? I can't imagine you are actually planning to play most of those nor sell them, so why buy them?

It isn't you specifically, but you made me remember that I wondered this. Like the guy a couple posts up - why buy two Sonics? What is the point?

SamuraiSmurfette

Yeah, it's exactly like that: Completing the collection.
Anything that I picked up that I already have, I'll resell,

<yadda yadda>.... Like the guy a couple posts up - why buy two Sonics? What is the point?

Well, I ran out of time on my posting earlier, but I meant to explain that I felt like I didn't get a great deal on the stuff, because much of it I normally would have passed on. The problem was, he wanted it all gone, not wanting to break up the whole "retro" lot. So I made an offer and took it all. I think now I probably own 5-6 copies of Sonic for the genesis.

I have two game-shopping personas: player and collector. Sure, do I need more sonics? No, but in that lot are enough things that I can package them up and either trade or sell them off. And yes, at around 500 original Xbox games, I am also collecting for possible completion. And no, I haven't played even half of those Xbox games, mostly because of time constraints, but it doesn't change the way I feel about the collection.

Sometimes you buy because you find something you "want" and sometimes you just buy what you feel like you "need".

I think US gamestops got rid of their Xbox games a while ago.
Up in Canada, we're about 3 years behind the curve on most things.
We just got Silly Bandz about a month or 2 ago.

Hehe, Silly Bandz....

anyway, I have to say that before GS dumped their Xbox games I would hit 5-7 per week to look for cool stuff. Now, I go into a GS once a month at the max - I just don't collect a whole lot of new stuff, and when I do, I typically will buy them from a shop that also had retro games to help them stay around longer. Like Play N Trade, FX Game Xchange or others like that.

My local LameStops still had XBox games up until last year.

Anyway. Today's finds:

Warcraft III Battle Chest (CIB): $5
Nine screener VHS tapes: $6

What's so special about those VHS Tapes? They're "erotic", and by that, I mean "really stupid movies whose only redeeming features are the bewbies." Some of these titles looked really, really stupid (Prehistoric Bimbos in Armageddon City? SOLD!). This'll be fun... or a pain... or both.

And a funny story: I got stopped by Mexican Customs on the way back home. They asked me what I had in my backpack, and I said nine video tapes. The agent thought they were games, and I said, no, they're VHS tapes.

Then he saw the titles and his eyes opened up wide. XD He thought they were porn, and I said "they're not... they're just stupid movies like the ones I used to like watching when I was younger." He just stared at me, I asked him if it was okay, he said "No, but you can leave anyway". Ha ha.

A whole bunch of oddball stuff today...

http://i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp222/StevePW/oddballfinds-1.jpg

Random bag of wires bought for USB cables - $2.99.
Heavy Barrel, Robocop 2, Solstice, Archon, and for the NES, $1.91 to $2.92 each.
Halo 2 pt. 2 soundtrack and Three Redneck Tenors (sealed) CDs - $1.99 each.
Stay Alive (no marbles) for $4.49 and EyeClops night vision goggles for $4.49.
Sega CD Flashback for $7.99 and Codebreaker for the Dreamcast (new) for $9.99, both 50% off since Game Attack! store in Flower Mound, TX is going out of business in a week or two.

Hey, Dallas/Fort Worth people, if you're looking for games, you might want to hit the Game Attack! store on the Northeast side of the intersection of Justin Rd. and Village Pkwy in Flower Mound. They've got a lot of PS2, GameCube, and Xbox games along with a still decent amount of current generation games. They also have NES, SNES, Genesis, Saturn (mainly sports titles now) and PS1 games along with peripherals. Their Xbox games are not only 50% off, but buy 2 and get 2 free! Pretty much everything is being sold off. I was thinking about buying a bunch of 97¢ Saturn sports games just for the cases, but there weren't a whole lot of games that price that had uncracked cases. Ah well, someone else can pick them up for replacement cases.

Lately been on a Famicom game buying spree. Intentionally bought a number of crap games in the last few months. I don't know, it's just kind of a strange appeal. It's so bad and/or weird, you gotta play and laugh at it.
I can't imagine many others would own Miracle Ropitt's Adventure in 2100, Booby Kids or Flying Hero. More notables in my collection Urusei Yatsura, Namco Star Wars, Bugtte Honey (Adventure Island and Arkanoid, together at last?).

... the hell?

... WANT. :p

It looked pretty interesting and pretty funny, with track titles like "Ave Maria Dixie", "TV Theme Song Medley", and weird cover songs like "YMCA", "Staying Alive", and "Pink Cadillac". So I popped it into my computer and had a listen... they're totally playing it straight! They aren't a crazy hillbilly parody of the Three Tenors like I'd assumed, they're just some mullet headed hicks singing songs. I'm a little disappointed.

By the way, the EyeClops night vision goggles are pretty damn impressive for a kid's toy. I could read the covers of magazines in a completely pitch black room with those.

Hah, sounds pretty lame. :\

Well... I bought nothing today. I almost did, though. I found a brand new and sealed Region 2 Serial Experiments Lain DVD (Spain) box set. It was pretty neat, the box resembled a closed laptop and it had a ton of goodies, including a soundtrack CD.

But when I picked it up, it turned out someone had already taken it. It was on top of some clothes and someone had already set it aside. That someone was a reseller. She told me her son wanted to sell it.

Needless to say, I was pretty pissed. I wanted the music CD. :|

Haven't been to the thirft stores in many months, decided to check out a couple and picked up some things (DQVI was from Toys 'R' Us on the 15th! Everything else is from today.)

DQ VI (DS) - Now have a way to play all 9 main games in English officially! 34.99
Kenseiden (SMS) - The manual is in poor shape. 1.50
Lord of the Sword (SMS) - The manual is in poor shape. 1.50
Gallop Racer (PSX) - This baby is mint! 3.00
Sonic 2 (GG) 1.00 - Why not. I seem to find this just about every time I go to a thrift store!
Goldfinger and A View to a Kill (VHS) - Bought these 2 to replace the ones I already have that are in poor shape. 3.00 for both.

That is a seriously fun game. Had it since I was a kid, and still pull it out time to time.

today just brought me more cheapy cheapy xbox games. Nothing worth taking a pic of though.
Also Got King of Fighters Orochi PSP for 3.99 and Supreme commander 2 for 4.89

I had played Stay Alive at a friend's house, but never owned one until now.

I stopped off at a new GameXchange in Denton that's only been open a week and a half. They have a lot of Nintendo systems and games, but only a dozen Genesis titles, and maybe more Sega Master System games. No Dreamcast, Atari, et cetera. Still, I managed to buy a boxed Pac-Mania for the SMS. It looks to be a European release by TekMagic, with the multi-language box and instruction manual and the white cart label. Only $3.95. Dammit, I love finding imports in the wild.

FLEA MARKET

Very Low Turnout,Coold Windy,You took your life in your hands today with how much the wind was blowing around..I watched a huge box filled with light couch pillows fly and knock a woman down..

Found,Three Free Bins with lids..

Passed
Bin filled with common NES games, the seller wants $5 to 10 depending on title.. the contents of the bin never seem to change everytime i see it..
NES,just the deck $25.00
Older-PS3 in pieces..

Ran into an old vendor whom I've known for years..
His kids>the third Xox 360 burnt out so they bought a PS3..His wife threw the 360 at him when it broke..
He sold the broken Xbox 360 arcade model but the buyer didn't take the power suppy..
I bought the(2007) 360 he had left and he told me to take everything in the bin.wireless controller, headset component cables, power supply, and Xbox 360 arcade model power supply..
The system is broken,I knew that,he told me so,,..He wanted $40.00 but I got it for $30.00...It has an E74 Error..
I have a RROD 06-07 Xbox 360 that was repaired (quick xclamp fix)but it didn't last a day..i've been working on it myself as the repair job was real CHITTY...
I've been looking for a 360 to mess with that has not been opened,or attempted repaired..(this is it)

The headset and controller my Sons will use,and I'll sell the Arcade Power supply on ebay(hopes) cheap.

Went out yesterday and this is what I came back with:

Pawn Shop:
Kirby and the Crystal Shards: $5 (best find of the day)

Goodwill:
Sonic's Schoolhouse: $2.99 (I grabbed this right away)
Sam & Max Episodes 1-3: $5.99(now I have to buy episode 5...)

Gamexchange:
Iron Man 2Disc Edition: $3 (For my dad. It is missing the sleeve though)

Not too bad of a day. I probably overpaid on Sam & Max, but I'm a sucker for physical copies of the game. It was still cheaper than what Telltale wants for one episode. I also did end up walking out of most stores I went to empty handed...

The game itself is pretty neat (All first edition game copies are not sealed but the outer box is sealed on the outside). The main thing that could catch people off guard is the side opening of the outer box so be careful not to rip it. The cards are pretty nice, just standard like a poker deck. :)

That's the first thing I looked at when I saw the game in the store. The side opening on my Atelier Rorona box was similar and I accidentally ripped it trying to open it. :( I didn't realize the game was out and would have picked it up yesterday but I had gone to Borders first and spent my disposable income on a book already. Hopefully I can pick this up next week. Speaking of cards, I was in Gamestop looking at the Hyperdimension Neptunia game and my friend who works there hooked me up with a pack of the Tactics Ogre tarot cards. I DO have the game on pre-order so it's not like I'm getting a freebie but it's nice to have the bonus item I'm supposed to get instead of ending up in the hands of an employee or another customer who didn't reserve the game. :)

As for finds of my own, I found a PSP game at Target last night that was on clearance. I picked up Naruto Shippuden Legends: Akatsuki Rising for $7.48. :)

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/tbsJordan/P2040837.jpg

TMNT was in awful shape, had mud(or something) all over it and even in the contacts, but after some heavy duty cleaning, it works. $2.
Choro Q- $5
Virtua Fighter 4- $2.50 (buy one get one half off at Re-Play Games)
The other three PS2 games were from a local pawn and were $4 each. I've been looking for a cheap copy of SF Alpha Anthology so I was happy about that one. Not sure what I'm going to do with the RPG's, I may just end up throwing them up here on the forums.

Test it first.

I've had AWFUL luck getting those third party guns to work on my PS2. GunCon clones work fine - but Konami gun clones don't work on my system for some reason (and yet, the standard Konami gun does...)

Today's finds:

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-02-21.jpg

Outlaws (CDs in case) - $2
Playtoons 2: Spirou - The Case of the Counterfeit Collaborator - $1

Outlaws is going to eBay. Playtoons... I got it because I got curious. I've seen some Spirou books and thought they were okay. I'm just not sure what's up with this game though, it says it's a game, but it's also a "Make your own story" type thing.

And check out that box. It's HUGE. And what does it contain? A CD in a paper sleeve and a leaflet with installation instructions. WAY TO WASTE CARDBOARD, SIERRA.

Every now and then, there's a find that is both exciting and annoying at the same time. I had that find today :)

I walk into Goodwill and see this in the glass case:

http://www.npdsolutions.net/guest_access/NPD/Pics/FILE0081.JPG

I make a mental note to grab that on the way out, it's not worth too much and its pretty useless without the bike, but it's kinda rare. But like a good thrift shopper, I wonder if there might be more related pieces around...

First I run into this:

http://www.npdsolutions.net/guest_access/NPD/Pics/FILE0082.JPG

Then I start to try and picture what else would be needed and I figure that something must connect the console to the bike. I dig around a bit and find this:

http://www.npdsolutions.net/guest_access/NPD/Pics/FILE0083.JPG

Finally I wander over to the open area of the floor and find the final piece:

http://www.npdsolutions.net/guest_access/NPD/Pics/FILE0084.JPG

http://www.npdsolutions.net/guest_access/NPD/Pics/FILE0087.JPG

http://www.npdsolutions.net/guest_access/NPD/Pics/FILE0089.JPG

So now I'm looking at the prospect of lugging this thing home. Fortunately my WRX wagon is surprisingly cavernous and I was able to fit it in and get it home.

I really don't have any room for this thing, and I'm not such a hardcore SNES collector that I really have any interest in keeping it. But I did feel that strange obligation to rescue it from its probable fate - there was a guy test riding the bike when I saw it, and he looked interested - it would have only been a matter of time before the pieces got all separated from one another, especially since the bike is really nice and heavy duty, like something you'd find at the gym.

I'll probably try to clean/fix it up and see if I can find someone that's looking to TRULY complete a SNES collection ;)

Oh, here's how the price broke down:

Game - $1.99
Controller - $1.99
Console Base - $1.99
AC Adaptor - $.99
Exercise Bike - $9.99

Total with tax of $18 and change.

Well, sounds like I wasted a dollar, but I'm probably going to at least try to watch it today.

On another note, I saw (and passed on) a good 40+ Anime VHS tapes from the mid-90's. They were all $1 each and I thought about buying them to resell or something, but figured I might not get around to it, and most were too adult for my kids. They looked pretty cool, but ended up passing.

Siegfried & Roy: Dreams & Illusions
Catacoustic Groove: The A Capella Problem
Congo Bongo (5200, loose)

All for $2. For reference, this is technically the second Siegfriend & Roy album I've ever bought. The first one was included in a huge CD lot I ended up trading in for credit at an FYE. It's basically a bunch of V/A songs, but it also has some music from Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story's score. The second album caught my eye since it has "Higher and Higher"... and a song called "Zombie Jamboree" (their website is here, they've got some samples up if you want to listen (http://www.catacousticgroove.com).) And Congo Bongo is up for trade. (I thought this was worth money. It wasn't. :p)

Edit:
... wtf? It turns out the Siegfried & Roy album also has a cover of Higher and Higher! How random is THAT?

His characters are more caricatures than humans; his backgrounds are either plain or ripped directly from google; his use of shading is, as already mentioned, fucking abysmal. What Buckley has basically done is try to inject a graphic novel storyline into a gag strip. This is no different from if Jim Davis were to draw a Garfield strip where Garfield tells Jon that he has caught cat-aids, then they spend the last two panels crying.

And I did find something today. I found a copy of My Neighbor Totoro on VHS for $1, it's missing the original box/sleeve but I'm still happy as this is the FOX dub which is long out of print. :)

I've been collecting for several years, with garage sales and thrifts as my main means of supply. I've seen the Miracle with stand and game, but that's as rare as it gets, in terms of accessories that I've seen with my own eyes. CAD has always been brutally awful and it's no surprise that the animated version (which is yet another ripoff of PA and PvP) is terrible. i am a huge fan of that game. this is the second copy i now own. the previous one i bought in like 2003 at a EB Games in their used pc games section for 5 bucks and the discs were scratched to hell barely working

this copy i just bought. I looked at the discs and they don't even look like they ever been used. not a single scratch or scuff mark period. The discs even felt tight in the case like they never been pulled out before. $1.99
