First "find" in a while.

-Dance Masters (Xbox360) - $12.48 at Target.

I want that. The only motion sensing discount games at my local Targets are the PS3 Move games for $9.99(Get Fit With Mel B, The Shoot, The Fight: Lights Out, etc). I wish I could find some discounted Kinect games.

The Ctrl+Alt+Del DVD was unwatchable. Even my 13 year old walked away less than 10 minutes into it. When spending only $1 for a DVD, you would think there's no way to be screwed, but I actually want my dollar back....

It was still just a dollar. I would have picked it up for that. It's not like you can't get your money back easily(or more). I've always found that most dollar finds are worth it, one way or another.

I had an awesome day today.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-02-23a.jpg
$1 each. Set includes:
Frankly A Capella: The Persuasions sing Zappa (UPC punch)
Mark Snow: Private Fears in Public Places (limited edition score, promo? sealed)
The Chemical Brothers: Surrender (needs resurfacing, won't rip)
Hiroshima: Go
McCoy Tyner with Stanley Clarke and Al Fester

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-02-23b.jpg
I picked up the Escape from L.A. Soundtrack (won't rip, blargh), Warcraft III and a Bjork CD I couldn't see the title of (who the hell uses black ink on a black background?!) which is apparently called "Medúlla" for $2 total. I keep looking around and spot the three Project Gotham Racing 2 soundtrack CDs. I found volume 1 and 3, noticed I was missing 2 so I looked around and found it, and next to it there was a brand new promo copy of the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood score by Jesper Kyd. The PGR CDs are mint but the front inserts have some moisture warping. Those were $4 (down from $5.)

Funny thing, I picked up the Assassin's Creed II promo score in that same area a year or so ago.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-02-23e.jpg
Bugs & Friends Sing The Beatles (Mexican issue!) - 20 Pesos (I found this at the Mexican flea market that sets up every Wednesday, three blocks away from my house)
V/A: Home Alone 2 Soundtrack - $1
OEM Works Suite 2003, brand new - $1
Mono: Formica Blues - $1 (hah, one of the songs in this thing was super popular when I was in high school, so I HAD to pick it up)

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-02-23c.jpg
Office Mac 2004 Student Teacher edition (3 CD keys) + Picture It Premium 10: $5
Office Mac 2004 Student Teacher edition (3 CD keys) + Volfoss (PS1 import, complete, RPG by Namco) - $4

YEAH. Hellooooooooooooo new computer parts! Also that Volfoss thing. I have no idea what it's like but it was cheap so I got it. :P

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-02-23d.jpg
Cibo Matto: Viva! La Woman
Warcraft II Battle.net Edition manual & Strategy Guide

$5 total. I couldn't find the Warcraft II Battle.net game that went with those books, but considering I have a spare copy of Warcraft II Battle.net around, I figured I'd get 'em to bundle with that game. (Either that or keep them, since I have Warcraft II Battle.net included in my copy of Warcraft III Limited Edition.) Cibo Matto sounded VERY familiar for some reason, so I picked it up. Apparently it's Japanese trip hop? None of the songs sound familiar. It seems they were in a Jet Set Radio album. Not sure what kind of music it is, but we'll see.

I can check my other local Target stores. That was the only copy I saw in this one. All they have had lately was 40 copies of Naughty Bear, Get Fit w/Mel B, The Shoot, The Fight, Trauma Team, and other assorted nonsense. They also had whatever the most recent Tony Hawk game was with a board for $50.

My Targets also have 50 million copies of Naughty Bear for $9.98. I wouldn't even pick it up for $5. As for the Tony Hawk game, it might be the new one but Best Buy is selling Tony Hawk: Ride(game and board) on clearance for $19.98(PS3 version).

I'm going to go to a few different Targets tomorrow to see if I can find anything else interesting.

$2.00 each at the local goodwill. I think Kitsune Sniper's taste in random discs that are actually worth something is rubbing off on me. Such a shame I couldn't find the last disc for mckenzie & co. The complete game goes for something like $50.00 so now I have to piece them out.

Hah. I saw that too.

What's the deal with that McKenzie & Co. game? Is it really worth $50?

From what I understand, yeah. It was a Highschool simulator game made by the people who did Mad Dog MCree. It's all full motion video so you could call it a FIRST person shooter dating sim if you wanted. There's only two on eBay right now, and one of them is just the 5 loose discs at $55.00. If I had a complete copy then who knows.

Here's a play through for anyone interested. It's horrible, horrible, horrible, but I can't disagree with the price. Also found a PC game called "learn Spanish now!" but when I opened it there was no disc. That's always a bummer.

Hah. I saw that too.

What's the deal with that McKenzie & Co. game? Is it really worth $50?

Nope. The $55 and $79 versions have been listed for months and months. There are several disc only copies on Amazon for $30 or so. This one was relisted twice and is complete in pretty decent shape with the two bonus discs and didn't get any bids on the starting price of $55. http://cgi.ebay.com/McKenzie-Co-Vintage-CD-Rom-Game-Girls-RARE-/120686127078?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c197427e6

I've seen a couple new in box copies in the past year on Ebay go for $40-$50, but never an opened one let alone a disc only version hit those prices. I also don't know why someone would buy individual discs like Wingzrow listed, but I guess you never know.

I didn't really find much of anything today except this:

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-02-24.jpg
Miles Davis & Various Artists: Finding Forrester Original Soundtrack
Madacy 21 Winners: The Best of Chubby Checker
Christopher Lee Reads Tales of Mystery and Imagination (two cassette tapes)

You're probably wondering why I picked up that tape set. One, because Christopher Lee is fucking awesome. Two, because I remembered this post by Ryaan1234 from back in November (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1771605&postcount=144) where he lamented the fact that he didn't pick up a copy at his Goodwill lot sale.

I'm considering selling it since I don't have a tape player... there's two copies of this for $29 in Amazon. I might just list this for $25 and see if it flies.

I got in the mail what will be my last Ebay package for a VERY long time. It simply consisted of three CIB Colecovision games: Montezuma's Revenge, Omega Race, and Bump n' Jump. Grea games, so I am happy.

There will be nothing more for quite some time, as I desperately need to save cash in order to buy another car. Then after that, to save money.

But enough of that, I did go to my local classic game shop (owned by DP member "neojapan" and scored quite a few cheap $5 Saturn games, all complete. Besides that, not much.

OH MY GOD, GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!!!

Don't forget their other hits: "I know my chicken, you don't know you're chicken!" and "La la la LA la la la LA la..."

Anyways, I went to Goodwill today, spent an inordinate amount of time scouring the store b/c I hate to make the trip out to this one and leave empty-handed. They had tons upon tons of CDs just sort of thrown around and the last time I was there I found a handful of Japanese cds (Gakt, Luna Sea, etc) as well as a couple of cheap PS1 games mixed in. I've also found a couple import PS1 games mixed in there in the past. So I was digging around and all of a sudden after moving a pile of cds off of another pile of cds (to see what cd was lurking there b/c it didn't have a back insert), I almost had a heart attack. Staring up at me was the cover of Fantastic Night Dreams Cotton. Oh if only. Turned out to be a bootleg of the game with a laser printed front cover. I don't even know what system the game ran in (probably PC). The disc referred to it as "Cotton II." XD Well, I think if it had been the real thing, no one would have believed I got it at Goodwill. Heck I wouldn't have believed it. Still, weird thing to find regardless.

Can you guys tell I haven't been having much luck lately? Best I've found was that Spelljammer game and I still don't know what (if anything) it's worth.

Stopped in at one of the local Goodwills yesterday and was able to find Rampage (SMS, boxed) and Double Dragon (SMS, complete) for 3.99 each. This was in addition to finding a boxed copy, in very good condition, of Star Wars Epidsode I Racer (N64) on Wednesday for $4.

I think I got a nice deal from a local store.
$20 for a loose Demon's Crest. A little damage on the caution label, but otherwise in great condition.
Decided to also get a couple Genesis games at $5 each.
Insector X with case, slightly ripped label and rental stickers. They also had a loose copy without rental stickers but the label was also damaged. So, I think I made the better choice.
Also, Viewpoint with case and manual. It was also a rental copy, and a small bit of fading on the spine and cover. But still in nice shape aside from the rental stickers.
For essentially what I'd pay in shipping alone from ebay, nice.

I've got a sealed Mario Cement Factory key chain game just like that (looks a little different though, copyright 1998). Unless that particular packaging is somehow rare, I can't imagine any of them being worth more than $5-$15. People are crazy.

LAZY TO GET UP ...Late to get out Flea Market Day...

.I get up get all ready, the kids ready and my dad takes an hour to get here..

I am SO GLAD I went today...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/th_Itsbeenagoodday012.jpg (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/Itsbeenagoodday012.jpg)

First off
I needed to ship some packages on the way.
I went over to my local branch and a lady came out the post office and said"turn around, everyones going over to the next towns post office, the computers are down in this one..The town over's post offce is Fast and much nicer from my first time there today..I'm glad I went there today but I had planned to walk the mile to my branch with the kids if I didn't go to the flea market..,that would iof sucked..
Distance,With traffic by the time we got to the flea market it was later then I wanted to get there so I just browsed..
Going up and down the isles I came accross some of the most trashed games systems, games etc.N64,SNES,N64,PS,PS2,Xbox..Stuff spread all over the place being stepped on a big mess..sad
The guy wanted $25.00 for the brownest, faded scratched, cracked,no plug,no rf,no av nd the controllers looked like they were dragged from a car...each game was from 5 to $8.00
PS2 slim,just the unit..$30.00
$35.00 for a stereo that looked like it was just pulled out the trash.
PASSED!!!!!it all..
Vendor up the isle had a lot of game stuff but..expensive and I've dealt with him before... too many times things don't work ..
$35.00 for a Decorated with Crayon (cracked corners) SNES system..no RF or AV..
Games were from 5 to $10-15 depending on title..
I picked up a NES for $25.00 as the tops clean..(orig plug,RF,Controller.
SNES Donkey Kong Country Game $5.00
As I walked away he put another NES on the table like stocking a shelf in the store.....lol..
Wireless 360 controllers on varios tables(banged up,no battery holder. $10 to 15 each..PASSED
Misc sports games here and there at various prices.
I was ready to leave, nothing special..But my dad was looking for certain things for his girlfriend so I started to just focus on those things,
I come around to the first isle vendor again..and I see this bin right at the front of the isle..(as shown)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/Itsbeenagoodday006.jpg

..I did a double take,I hit the brakes so hard in my feet that I almost fell on my ass..Is that Panzer Dragon Saga.
..No!!,No way.In all my years of flea hunting I have never seen this game in the wild..
.I grab it as someones looking over me(I HATE THAT)..it's complete, even has some white things inside to hold the cd down.
..I look more into the bin,Saturn Radiant Silvergun..I shit myself.....I grab the two games and see more in the bin,The guy over me was waiting for me to let anything I had in hand loose...

Seems the rest of the crowd of people were digging into the computer parts, ipod, xbox 360 used accessory deals......no one was paying attention to games..

I grab the whole bin and fetch the vendor.."how much for the games" TWO FOR FIVE...How much for the whole Bin.$20.00..BAM!!
.Paid the man for the bin and took off.

..The Vendor says I have more....."really..I hit the brakes again...There were games all over the place in boxes just under other stuff.

..Remember I hunt to buy and sell-it pays my bills-so nothing in the boxes was worth to buy and sell.

.Then he says I have 'a lot' Boxes in the truck..

As I look up into the truck another vendor whom I know(only sells his games on ebay though) is looking though the boxes(OH NO-I'm done).

.In the truck was the contents of someones entire video game collection..It's so sad to see that...(NY Storage bin buy out Vendor )..Everything was meticulously packed, the boxes were all marked neatly to what was in them,

Saturns,Nintendos,SNES,Dreamcasts..etc.,.
Controllers in Boxes light guns tons of stuff.Dreamcast Memory cards new in box.
I had my eye on the BIG Box of Mint Sega Saturn Games the vendor whom I know is looking though,he's pulling games out and noting to as how nice they were,Shining Force etc.

..I'm waiting to see if he's going to buy or not as he's acting uninterested, talking in another language, shifting around...
As I'm looking at the titles he's pulling out and stacking up he says to the vendor in the Truck.

."I found a Panzer Dragon Saga last week and sold it on ebay for $200.00..
.(..eeeesshhh-talk about an uneasy moment..)

The vendor in the truck started opening box after box,to show me what was in them, lines and lines of NES games in sleeves.Genesis Boxed games,Sega CD,

.He opens up another box it had all the GOOD NES games.
.My eyes are popping out,I don't come accross stuff like this all at one time..
.NES Final Fantasy Complete,Zeldas,RPGs etc.I'm all over this stuff like a hawk..

.I ask how much but he's changed his tone now,huh..
He won't sell anything now,He starts separating all the good stuff as he's taking out more and more taped up boxes of games.
It seems the other vendor whom I know said something to him when I was off to the side.
..I'd say most of the NES games were Not commons in these boxes as everything seemed to be meticulously packed, seperated.
.Something a serious collector would do..

..the commom NES games were in a seperate box and NES game cases(the long black cases)and he would not sell them either,,it became show and tell...I enjoyed it..

He gets to a box Full of all Japanese Saturn Games,Dragon Ball Z was the first game I noticed..
.He starts flinging them into another box ..Ouch...they were mint..
He's making a bigger box of good NES,Gen,SNES,Games piled on top of sealed in package figures, gaming toys, statues,McFarlane Action Figures type stuff..
Whoever gaming collection it was they collected these too...
I ask,what are you doing..

.He says,I'm keeping all this stuff to sell somewhere else....
Really...
Where.
He says,
I don't sell here(sounded mad).I sell in another state... that was it..
.He made a pile and got out the truck..

There were many more boxes in the truck that he didn't open, who knows..Maybe I missed an extremely RARE NES game..I'd rather not know.:|
The vendor who I know bought the boxes of Saturn Games for $50.00..
He got all the good stuff...Around 60-80 Games..
I never saw a person with such a big smile on his face....
..
..
I did some more browsing.
Picked up a Dirty NES for $20.00..controllers,av misc plug..
I bought this because the guy said I could have the $30 Ps2 slim for $10 then..
PS2 Slim(the 30 dollar one) $10.00..I have the plug already..
A Gamecube Screen $10.00
Bin of Games $20.00(Panzer
NES System for $25.00,cont,plug rf.

Thank you..

I have to say I have had good luck this week, but it always comes with bad luck..
My Sons old 360 just burnt out so my kids are now sharing the newer one..(not easy with two kids whom both want to play.

PD Saga
Thinking about it,I have ran into one of these many years ago at a flea market but it was just one CD in case..the rear insert..and no book($100.00)....Hmm...That was missing a whole lot,I sure am glad I didn't have a lot of cash that day...

.I didn't realize that the white sleeves in the case were actually the other three Discs ..X_x

I went to look up what the game is selling for on ebay and saw 4 discs in the auction.I flew out of the room to check and mine has all 4 discs..Whew,..

Looking at other auctions of rare Saturn Games ..one of the games the other guy got was Dragon Force Shining Force III 3 !!...OUCH

.....
I can't say right now,I'd like to play it...but bills come in and with racing,it may make it's way to ebay eventually...

Games like this I actually hate selling as I have to be so detailed to every nitch....I have the sealed NES Punishers, the last one I sold on ebay was such a fiasco.Big description and a bunch of picture, noted on flaws..any little crease or tiny mark and buyers go haywire....

I had some pretty damn good finds over the past week; nothing quite in the league of finding Panzer Dragoon Saga, but still pretty impressive in it's own right.

- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition (PC. New): $20
- Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (DS. New): $35
- Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP. Case and instructions only): Free
- Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition (PS3. New): $10
- Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return (PSX. Complete in near mint condition): $12

Tomba 2 was a random find; while looking through the original PlayStation games at Game-X-Change, I happen to find a copy of it mixed in with more common fare like the Crash Bandicoot trilogy. Since it wasn't too expensive, and I remember enjoying the demo, I picked it up...and when I got home and saw how much it usually runs for online, my jaw dropped over how good of a deal I got. This isn't quite in the same league as getting The Misadventures of Tron Bonne for $15 many years back, or EarthBound for $35 last summer, but it's pretty close.

...As for how I got Dragon Age so cheap, this calls for Story Time:

While out this morning, after finding nothing at garage sales (Although the weather is warming up, there still hasn't been many sales at all), I randomly dropped in at a local pawn shop; one that I don't usually go to, seeing as they rarely have any good games, or if by the off chance there is something worthwhile, it falls into a category I like to call "Gamestop rejects" (Beat-to-hell garbage that even Gamestop won't touch and is too far gone for the disc buffer at Game-X-Change to revive it). However, when looking over their PS3 games, I saw a copy of the Ultimate Edition of Dragon Age, and proceeded to check the disc for scratches (Hoping that it was in decent shape, since I've been wanting to try it); finding it a little rough, but in a lot better shape than the copy of Eternal Sonata right next to it (Something that pissed me off; I've also been wanting to try that game, and I can't find a copy locally).

As I look through the case, I find a Gamestop receipt sticking out of the instructions, which I look at out of curiosity...and find that this copy was bought less than 2 months ago and still had an active 1-year replacement plan. That was what sealed the deal for me; as I went up to the register and was ready to pay $15 for it (The normal price for PS3 games at this store)...and, without asking, the lady at the register gave me a $5 discount because of how beat-up the game was. Shortly after, I went by Gamestop, which was practically within walking distance, and swapped it out for a new copy with no problems; effectively getting the game for $10 new.

2 Things at the flea market this morning. There weren't many people and I suppose it was because of the rain last night and the expected rain this afternoon. One booth with a bunch of electronics has had this Dreamcast forever, so I asked finally and it was $5. It has 2 controllers but no power or A/V. Also, I got an Intel Express 3D graphics card, with a whopping 2mb memory and an amazing 2x AGP! Wow it's the latest thing available! It's factory sealed in the box and I thought it would be worth something to someone who collects old computer stuff, that was $2.

And goddamit Videogamerdaryll, I thought my estate sale find would be find of the year! (Though I'm still completely happy with find CTCW and Then RR2 the day after LOL)

Yea I want to play it..A friend of mine wrote.
As for Panzer Dragoon Saga, if you still have a working Saturn, PLAY IT. I finished the game in about 20 hours,it was, absolutely, one of the best games I've ever played. Seriously.

.................

Thank you everyone,...It'll prob be the best and last great find for me for the year..as I just don't find this kinda stuff..I sadly get a lot of junk..The stereo my dad bought did not work and it had Dead Critters in it..guess where that went.:vamp:.
A few weeks ago a vendor friend was hunting at a flea and told me about his finds the next week when I saw him,He had passed up two specific (New in Box-sealed vintage systems that are currently listed for $300.00 each and the only ones on ebay...The vendor wanted $40.00 each.....As soon as he told me he passed them up I almost hurled..

Looking more closely at what was in the bin...

The third game in the bin is..
Guardian Heroes (Sega Saturn)..
I didn't pay too much attention to it...as the other two..

I noticed how much it's listed for on ebay as I'm looking to see if I any new(NY) Sega Saturn listings are put up..(IF you read my original story)

Both vendors the buyer and seller are from NY and the buyer who bought the boxes of Saturn games only sells on ebay so he'll be listing all the games he bought..If I see new 30-60+ game, single or mullti game lots being listed it may be that guy..I'm DYING to know what else were in those boxes he bought(Saturn Games)..

What I'm trying to figure out is what this is?:

I've never been to either...

I hear about Columbus all the time via where vendors are going/went and from my Mom...

Everyone, friends family, vendors say it's so big,so good to go to...My mom says that I would not last a minute in as I'd run into game vendor after game vendor..one after the other......
I'd be spent as soon as I got there as I understand..

That happens to me in Englishtown,I get to the first couple vendors and I'm spent/broke..:)

I decided to go flea market shopping today, ended up with almost nothing. For those of us in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, there's a flea market in Forest Hill (southeast Fort Worth) on the corner of Mansfield Highway and Shackleford Road. The bad thing about it? Nowhere to park. All the area is marked as tow-away zones and 'no parking' signs as far as the eye could see. I ended up not even getting out of my car. What was worse, the nearby barbecue place I wanted to stop at for lunch (voted #1 'Best Barbecue in the Dallas Area' by D Magazine (http://www.dmagazine.com/Home/D_Magazine/2010/February/The_Best_Barbecue_in_Dallas.aspx) is closed on Sundays, along with the Goodwill and their Computer Works stores a couple miles up the street. Dammit.

Went to the Treasure Island Flea Market in south Fort Worth, and found very few vendors there, but the few that did set up shop were all playing blaringly loud Mexican music, plus there was a live Mexican band with their amps turned up to 11, which makes me wonder why people who love shitty music need to play it as loud as possible, as if that will make it better. It seems to happen a lot, with all shit flavors/genres of music. I'd love to go to a barbecue place and not be beaten over the head with Country music.

All I bought today was Wabbit for the Atari 2600 from a Movie Trading Co. store. Sorry for the overly long description of essentially finding nothing, I wanted to vent a little.

That is a great flea market in Forest Hill. Pay the $3 across the street and park it is worth it.

Last time I was there I got a Nomad with cracked screen and Castlevania Bloodlines cart for $15 (bought a $3 screen on ebay and it is good and like new)

Passed on a $25 Dark Blue N64 with 2 controllers (had one but should have bought it)

I have gotten lots of good NES, SNES, and N64 stuff there before. There is another good one in Fort Worth i can tell you about if you pm me :)

Should be LR44, that's what other Game and Watches seem to use from my experience. It was a pretty common battery type at the time, I've seen a ton of stuff use that size including calculators and SLR cameras.

I did pick up some stuff today. 2 SNES/N64/Gamecube AV cables for $1.99 together, and 2 SNES controllers for $1.99 together. I still have to test them to make sure they work. Passed on a Sanyo Beta player as I didn't know if it worked and it was over $5, I won't risk it unless it's dirt cheap as I don't have the space to store this type of stuff anyway.

I ordered a Nintendo DSi XL last week...I thought it'd be here by now. Ah well, too early to panic yet. I guess it'll be one of my first March arrivals. I also ordered the first Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? game for the DS used for $7. That'll give me all 4 of the DS editions of that game.
