Flea market today:
http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac5/Ryaan2000/Finds32711-1.jpg
I was at one booth these Hispanic folks operate. They always have a TON of DVDs and I usually buy 1 or 2 from them every week. They sometimes get in really wacky stuff, I assume they buy them in big lots from garage sales or perhaps even auctions. Aaaanyways I stopped by their booth and looked in a tub of DVDs and about had a heart attack when I spied the Criterion logo on a DVD. I have never seen a Criterion collection DVD at a garage sale or flea market before but I am well aware of their reputation. I dug through the entire bin and ended up with 9, yes NINE Criterion Collection titles: The Burmese Harp, La Haine, Vengeance is Mine, Overlord, Yojimbo, Stray Dog, Sanjuro, Fires on the Plain, and Seven Samurai. Somebody really liked Asian cinema (and so do I, in fact!). I took these DVDs to the lady running the booth and asked a price, and she told me $25 (which is just under $3 a piece). I quickly accepted the price so now I have a mini Criterion Collection collection. Also, after the fact I picked up Monty Python and the Holy Grail because I've been wanted a DVD copy of it, which was an additional $3. I looked all through the booth and couldn't find any more Criterion DVDs but I'm just happy with what I found. I've heard great things about Seven Samurai so I think I may watch that tonight.

Also, this stuff. The Voodoo2 card is complete in the original box and was $2, and the NES games were $4 a piece. I really don't want a movie license and what I've heard is a bad puzzle game but I know I will eventually need them for my collection, they're an R4 and R5 respectively. LOL I need more shelf space for my NES collection. This puts me at 331 NES titles.

Turns out the 18 games are a mix of PS2 and PS3, unfortunately. But all are in pristine condition, so I guess that counts for something.
PS3:
Call of Duty 4
Tiger Woods 08
Madden 10
GTA IV
Resistance
PS2:
ESPN 2K5
Tiger Woods 07
GTA III
GTA Vice City
GTA San Andreas (original release)
MGS 2
MGS 3
Red Faction II
Tony Hawk 3
Smackdown Just Bring It
Smackdown Here Comes the Pain
Smackdown vs Raw 2006
I'm told that the PS3 is backwards compat, but I'm not 100% sure which model it is. Still waiting on that info.
I think $250 for a system with 2 controllers and this mediocre pile of games is a decent buy, nothing spectacular.
Got the info on the system and it's a 60GB original model. Turns out to be a good deal, then.

Well, not very much today.
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-03-28.jpg
N-JOI EP - $1
MGM/UA Music Sampler Volume 1 (1996, brand new but very damaged case) - .50
Virtua Racing Genesis (cart only) - $3
GO GO Anime! (DVD, new) - $2
DVD Studio Pro 2 Upgrade (Mac, complete, not pictured) - $5
N-JOI was the random pickup of the day. Apparently an incarnation of the band included the lead singer for Republica (that UK band that had a hit with "Ready to Go" many years ago). I haven't listened to this yet.
That MGM/UA Sampler? I only picked it up 'cause it has an otherwise-unreleased song from the Hackers soundtrack. :p It has music by a lot of different composers, including Hans Zimmer and Carter Burwell.
Virtua Racing Genesis... eh. I wanted to try it for myself.
... and that DVD? Well... I got curious. There were two other DVDs by that same company but they were uh, racing DVDs. You know, the kind where there's cars and models and stuff. :P

All I bought today was a copy of Herc's Adventures for the Playstation for $4.95 at a Goodwill. I ended up passing on an RCA Nuon-enhanced DVD player for $29.99. I've got a couple models of Nuon DVD players but not the RCA version (released after a rival MPEG-2 decoder chip manufacturer bought VM Labs just to remove Nuon tech from the market). It doesn't have the controller ports like the earlier models did and won't play Nuon games without modification. Plus, no remote control. So I left it behind.

MGC 2K11 Finds! Lots of pics to follow.
http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x28/TUPPYLUVER95/DSCN0766.jpg
Import games. The two unmarked Super Famicom games were $3 each.
http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x28/TUPPYLUVER95/DSCN0767.jpg
Atari games were 2 for a dollar. Other Coleco stuff was $1 or $3.
http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x28/TUPPYLUVER95/DSCN0768.jpg
Got off good here. Space Shuttle Project was $5. Reproductions of Dream Penguin Adventure and Hello Kitty's Flower Shop were $40 total. Clickum is $5, and it's signed by Steve Woita! World Heroes on the MVS was $7.
Vapor TRX tape, Atari Flashback I, the rapid fire adapter, Genesis joystick and the GBA MP3 player were $1 each. DexDrive was $2. Cratermaze was $5, as was the TI-99 Frogger, and the Pac-Man book was $2. Master System joystick was $4.
http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x28/TUPPYLUVER95/DSCN0769.jpg
A story with this one. The vendor was trying to get a guy to buy it for $8, but it was broken. The guy was hesitant, and the vendor lowered it to $5 with the case. The guy said no and I immediately said I would take it. They said it didn't power on.
http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x28/TUPPYLUVER95/DSCN0770.jpg
Colecovision that I got for $45.
http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x28/TUPPYLUVER95/DSCN0772.jpg
Coleco Atari adapter for $20.
http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x28/TUPPYLUVER95/DSCN0771.jpg
Both of these were a dollar. Ghost Trick poster is cool, and what I thought was a pirate multicart turned out to be a pirate Tengen Tetris. For a dollar!
What an amazing show. Sorry for all the pics, people with slow connections...

Finally received this in the mail :D
Most of the boxed games are complete and he threw in an extra copy of Zelda and Popeye.
He didn't say the box was included in the auction (nor was it shown) but he obviously found it when he sent it to me which was a pretty awesome bonus.
The Hong Kong Game Company carts are:
Unknown
Ikari Warriors
Exed Eyes
Goonies
Super Mario Bros 3
Adventure Island
Spica Original
The lot cost me $100.

okay, I don't even know what I'm looking at here. Please explain!
I hope you don't mind, but I can offer some assistance.
I believe what you are looking at is a Hong Kong version NES and games. Nintendo had their own unique small boxes and system (labeled "HONG KONG VERSION") for Hong Kong releases (and some Euro games if memory serves). I believe as well that the games in the lower section of the picture with the labels smaller than usual (the OP calls them "Hong Kong Game Company games") are pirates while the boxed games, and I assume some of the non-boxed ones, are official releases. You can look here (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133357) for some additional info from here on DP.
EDIT: Also, here (http://www.gamesniped.com/2009/10/15/small-box-nes-nintendo-hong-kong-games/)

The boxed games as well as Mario Bros 1 and 2 are official Hong Kong Nintendo releases.
The other loose games are from what I can gather, pirate games from a compy called "Hong Kong Game Cartridge CO, LTD"
Edit:
Bah, Ryaan beat me too it.

Gah, I'm sorry about that. When I looked at your post it showed you as not online. I didn't think you were about to answer him.
By the way that's a really sweet deal for $100! Those Hong Kong titles are pretty sweet looking, and hard to find to boot.

I have the Metroid of those releases (very neat that it has the fds box art instead of the us art) if you're interested in selling one of the zeldas let me know, i'm very much interested in it.
an amazing price for the lot.
Found this manga not too long ago:

No recent finds,,
My in-laws used to have one of those NES clones that plays US NES and Japanese NES games..
They bought it from the Digital Press Store..(recommended by me)
The system got wet somehow and they chucked it recently...NOOOOOOOOO!!!!..
They brought out some of the games they had with it and gave them to me.

They had multicarts too,not sure what happened to them..

You know, I should not be allowed near music CD sellers whenever I make a lot of cash on eBay. EVER. ^^;
Yesterday (no picture):
Adobe Illustrator 9 Upgrade (Mac, new in box)
Galerians: Rion DVD (disc in case)
100+ Great Games Volume II (disc only)
$1.50 (and I owe the seller a quarter 'cause I didn't have enough change on me.)
Visual Studio 2005 Standard Ready To Launch set (complete, unused and unregistered) - Got it at GameTZ in exchange for that Adobe Creative Suite Education Version that I couldn't sell on eBay.
I think I CAN get away with selling this... if I'm careful.
Today's finds:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-03-30a.jpg
Shutter Island novel (movie tie-in version) - .50
Office 2000 Standard (new in box) - $4
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-03-30b.jpg
Ben Sidran: On The Cool Side (Heat Wave)
Snow: Justuss (yes, it's the INFORMER guy!)
The Beautiful South: Welcome To The Beautiful South
Rick Astley: Hold Me In Your Arms (damaged front cover, aww)
Chris Isaak
The Vanduras: In The Dark (new, random pick of the day)
$1 each
I then visited one of my usual CD booths, where I found the following
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-03-30c.jpg
PS1: Smurf Racer!
Miles Davis: Sketches of Spain
Slim Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys: Feelin' Kinda Lucky
Ella Fitzgerald: The Best of the Song Books
V/A: For The Love of Jazz
I then went to other booths, found nothing, came back to that booth and asked the owner if she'd let me look at another box she had under the table. She agreed and I ended up getting all of these too:
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dp-2011-03-30d.jpg
Emilio Palame Band: Be Who You Are (HDCD)
Jimmy Fallon: The Bathroom Wall (I don't like the guy, but eh.)
Boredoms: Chocolate Synthesizer (Japanese issue)
John Scott: Cousteau / Amazon Part 1: The River
John Scott: Cousteau / Amazon Part 2: The Indian
P.J. Harvey: Is This Desire?
Sid Wayne: Chanukah Carols (new)
Various Artists: It's Just Business: You're Fired
V/A: Angus Motion Picture Soundtrack
GoblIIIns (PC CD, Softkey budget rerelease)
$10 for all.
The name P.J. Harvey sounded horribly familiar but I couldn't place it. I just searched for her name and she was in the Jay and Silent Bob soundtrack album singing "This is Love", which was one of my favorite tracks in it. Hooray for my crappy memory!
And not pictured: A 12 pack of bubble mailers for $2.

On a good note:
Went to my favorite thrift and grabbed these:
3DO: $10
Controllers: $3 each (one is a Logitech one ?!)
Lightguns $4 each
Halo figures $4 for 3
Sims 2 Double Deluxe $2
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b48/SamuraiSmurfette/IMG00156-20110330-1704.jpg
on a bad note:
they had lots of "better" Nes games up at the counter...
kickle Cubicle, Chubby Cherub, MENACE BEACH
So I was excited to go through the basket.
Sadly I found that Mario games were $9.99, and the games just went up from there.
I picked up Menace beach....$49.99!!!
I asked the cashier WTF!
She replied with "it sells for $100 on ebay!"
I decided to pick up Krazy Kreatures (with manual) for $5.
not terrible, and one I didn't have.
I left the rest, and asked why everything suddenly jumped way up in price,
when I used to be able to come in all the time and buy games for $1.99
She told me that "they learned that they can make money from them!"
But...Don't you make money off of them no matter what?
An end of an era for my favorite thrift.
Although, I'm hoping no one will buy that, and they'll have no choice to not sell games at that price anymore.
*crosses fingers*

Sounds like every GoodWill in my area. Currently they have a brand new 10 year old Lego set behind the glass. Price? Only $100.00 How do they get that price? Look the item up on ebay with a BIN, print it off, and stick it right next to it.
I really don't know how they can do that, considering the stuff is given to them for FREE

Pretty good day today after emailing a half-dozen sellers on CL yesterday. First was this xbox lot for $10:
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/finds247a.jpg
For this SNES lot someone was supposed to buy it last night, but the guy said to try him again today if the ad was still up. It was, so I emailed and he still had it. Happened that both the xbox lot and this one were very near each other about 30 minutes away, so this worked out great. $50 for the SNES and games.
http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww75/evanwink42/Finds/finds247b.jpg
SNES games are
Mario RPG
Zelda
Kirby's Dream Course
Stunt Race FX
TMNT IV
Double Dragon V
And then I saw a thrift I didn't know about on the way back and they had the Indiana Jones game for $2.99. Nice to finally have this boxed!
And the 2 PSP games were $1.99 each (cost of shipping) from the TigerDirect/Facebook $10 off promotion they were running a while back.

I'm not really sure what the full contents were. At the store, I only looked in the box and saw the disc in original sleeve and the manual. Behind that was some other stuff, but I figured it was the usual ads and whatnot. Turns out the manual for Sim Tower was also in there. Sim Tower was on the shelf right next to this game, and I guess I should have bought it, too (passed on Tower, Life, and Golf Sim games). Behind the Sim Tower manual was the quick reference sheet for Fate of Atlantis. Looks like I'm probably missing a registration card and a mini-newspaper type thing, but that may have only been in the floppy version, not this CD-Rom version?

Oh man, long night at work, had to do a class 8-9:30 this morning, feeling tired and foul.
Was remembering a thread where a guy showed his $.50 Chrono Trigger at goodwill. Got home got dressed, decided to go to goodwill while the wife is still asleep.
GLAD I DID.
I browse the front display case and scope for the big metal cage style bins that usually have cart games and cd's and its not there, so i decided to go to the back and poke through their cd selection. (which is 99% of the time fruitless)
I see some ps1 titles all in a row and whats in the middle of some commons and crap titles?

Suikoden 2

$6.83 total.
Brave Fencer is goin in my collection, but Suikoden 2 will be up for sale shortly.

There were a few releases of the CD version, some had the adventurer/newspaper and some had a basic catalogue instead(some didn't come with either, but had a registration card). I'll post some pictures below of what should have come with it. It might have originally come with a hint book though.

Kilauea featuring Daniel Ho: Spring Break (random pickup of the day, $1)

Last post of the month:
WHile buying 3DS games on Sunday at 1:30 in the morning, I stumbled upon a mint new SEALED:
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
at an older Walmart. It wasn't that cheap, but it was cool to find. It was the only older game in the whole department - very odd but glad it was there. :)

I'm guessing this was for Gamecube?

I did some looking around on Thursday but didn't find anything I wanted to pick up. I did find something in a Gamestop, though I had ZERO intentions in paying what they were asking. There's a store by my house that has Metroid Prime Trilogy and they wanted $69.99 for it. I realize it's a little hard to come by but I was reminded of MvC2 all over again. @_@

Oops. Sorry about that! Yep, it was for Gamecube. It has the little corner sticker on the outside of the package that says "Plays on Wii". Kinda cool.

My last finds of the month where a bit weak:
- Vampire Hunter D (PlayStation. Complete in mint condition) $1
I found this at a local thrift store I frequent and decided to scoop it up; hoping that, considering the license, it might play like a Castlevania knock-off. Unfortunately, it's a poorly-done Resident Evil knock-off, but for $1, I can't complain too much; it's not like I spent $50 on a new copy of Windows ME.

I had a great non video game day.
I swung into a Goodwill that i never find anything at and was browsing the toy section and saw a bag with some odd NFL action figures in it. After i moved them around i was shocked to see Optimus Prime Powermaster G1 figure from 1984. It was missing his head and trailer but had the guns and Hi-Q. Then i see 6 cars with instruction manual, it was the complete set of Gobots that made the Puzzler. Inside that manual had the instruction book on Optimus Prime figure.
Paid $2, Will be going with my 80s Toy collection.
