Been out of video game playing and collecting for the last few months, but I did pick up Electroplankton for DS for $18 CIB and in excellent condition. Not a bargain, but I've never seen the game around here...maybe not as easy to find in PR? So I picked it up and I am happy I did.
I'd think it's just not easy to find at all since it was never sold in stores, just quietly released on Nintendo's little-publicized online store (where they normally just sell repair parts or spare manuals).

Weller WCC 100 soldering station - $6.00, works great
Hallmark Star Trek Galileo shuttlecraft, talking w/holiday message from Spock - $5.00
Hallmark 1917 Curtis Jenny - $2.00
Hallmark phone booth - $1.00
Boxed Speak & Math - $4.00, no activity guide but all the other paperwork, works great

And a purchase from DP, Military Madness and Neutopia for the TG-16, game / case / booklet...

These are great finds, with Christmas gearing up, the ornaments should do well. I sold a Speak n Spell and Speak n Math for $60 for the pair. I have no idea what on would do in the box. The soldering station is nice, good find on that.

The ornaments are for me. They had a ton at the first estate sale for $1 / $2 and between my mom and myself we found some good stuff. Left lots behind too, just stuff neither of us were interested in. The Speak & Math on the other hand, I don't know if I'm going to keep. If anyone here is interested in it, let me know.

I've wanted a mid quality soldering station for awhile and I kicked myself ten years ago when most electronics suppliers bombed out the last of these Weller WCC100's for like $30. The economy model that replaced it (WLC100 I think) ended up being a piece of junk and I remained a cheapskate all these years, making due with my old rat shack iron - which hasn't been bad regardless of what anyone may say about them. I think I've had it for something like 12 years. LOL

Found a couple things today:

The SNES games came from Goodwill, everything else ended up being $42 from a pawn. SMW, DKC, and Zelda are for trade shall anybody want them

$14.08 after tax. On the left are all uniques, the top is broken bits, and the rest is rank-n-file. I should do pretty good on em, there's a few decent ones in there.

ditto that.

I found two bare NES toasters for $3 each and an asciiware SNES controller w/ all the turbo switches for another $2.25 or so. Not going to bother with a picture, though the NESs are in pretty impressively bad shape.

Sorry, I should have assumed all of us don't know about this stuff. They're WizKids Mechwarrior miniatures. A strategy tabletop game. Not worth what they were in their heyday (mid-2000's), but still have a following.

http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/ConneticutLeatherCompany/gkids002-3.jpg

The dial on the back is a dead giveaway it's a Wizkids miniature. After checking all the LE's out, I'm guessing I'll get $50-75 for the lot. Nothing to write home about, but it's a decent percentage.

I used to play Battletech back in the day and I'd brag about a percentage like that.

Street Fighter for the Game Gear - I would have bought that - it'd be a neat pirate cart.

Crap, that is a lot of video books -if any are turbografx 16 related let me know.

It must of been Streets of Rage (Sega Game Gear, 1992)

You see I saw it but didn't look at it clearly,it was within a pile of paperback books but there was a guy who called someone on a cell phone and asked if it was worth anything..He said Street Fighter-Game Gear Game in the Box..over the phone and the guy said not to buy it so when I heard that I didn't give it a second thought.

Of all the places to find a US Sega Saturn, a Craigslist posting in Seoul with the title "Sony Playstation 1" would not have been high on my list of likely places. The description even stated it was a Saturn. Odd. I plan to get a controller (either here or have one of my spares mailed to me) and try to sell the system and a game here, but I figure worst case scenario I have to mail it all home and after piecing it out I basically get Die Hard Arcade for free.

Everything for about $40 USD:

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e3/Porksta/System.jpg
System with all cords
ASCII Arcade Stick
Virtua Cop Gun

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e3/Porksta/Pants002.jpg
Games with manual:
Clockwork Knight 2
Daytona USA: CCE
World Series Baseball 98
Virtua Cop 2
Independence Day
Die Hard Arcade
Sonic 3D Blast
Maximum Force

Games without manuals:
Wing Arms
Virtua Cop

Can anyone tell me what those foam pads are with the system? They were included with the package so they may not be involved with the system at all.

... Wait. The fuck? I only picked it up because I thought it was a promo album for a computer game, or maybe a soundtrack. I had no idea it was religious in any way.

Now I see that's not the case... and how it sounds like, well, I dunno, I haven't opened it yet.

Last night I went to help a friend..I was to meet him art his work place..Upon reaching the place I noticed some Nice Grey Plastic bins that sadly were going to go to the dumps next to an off to the side lots dumpster(dumpster diving)
..these are great for storing stuff, magazines etc and aren’t cheap..

I took a quick look and the bins were filled with crap...hmm...looked again...wires.....I like wires.....I waited till my friend came out and asked about the stuff,he said that the stuff was dumped(free for the taking)the dumpster does not belong to his store that it’s just for the lots general rubbish..

I felt so weird looking in this stuff next to the dumpster,I rushed not paying to much attention to what was in the boxes dumped.. so I started to empty the stuff out of the bins I wanted into the dumpster ,before I emptied the next bin I spotted headphones,an old cell phone and just grabbed the bins, combined what I didn’t throw in the dumpster into one bin and threw it in the car..

When I got home I noticed that I must of threw away parts of things in this bin or left the stuff behind in boxes that were there..

Today I separated the stuff throwing out lots of junk, empty boxes, and this is all the stuff I found, plus a new SANTA FE QUESADILLA MAKER

I have no idea what really is what in this pile,I have to try and match it up.
Computer software discs
Wireless mouse
Wired mouse
Wireless router
a Belkin wireless thing
Some Mem card,
Sony 32mb memory stick..
PSP disc

iLuv i903 Foldable Bluetooth Stereo Headphone (http://www.ebay.com/itm/iLuv-i903-Foldable-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headphone-/180616333692?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item2a0d92897c)s..(they work but I have to read the manual)

and a bag of old silverware that’s worth from my research about 50 bucks..

Today's thrift and pawn run got me:

http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/ConneticutLeatherCompany/gkids-6.jpg

$25 for the SNES with all the games, $3 for Advance Wars 1, $3 for the Sesame Street DVD, and $1 each for the Genesis games. Barbie is missing the manual, but Barney is complete. The SNES is pretty, so I'll sell it console only and list the cords n controllers with a dingier SNES.

Edit: I hit another thrift as I shipped Ebay junk. Found this little $100 bill:

http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/ConneticutLeatherCompany/gkids001-5.jpg

Most of the chess computers I've sold go for around $30, but this one's fancy, and usually sells for $90ish. $4 it cost me.

Grabbed a couple NES AC adapters to go with the loose consoles I picked up on Tues. 1.99 and 2.99. Also found a new in blister pack PS2 Buzz!: The Mega Quiz with the 4 buzzer thingies. It was $4.44 so I figured 'why not'. If it had been $4.45 I would have passed (hah, their prices are so bizarre at Unique). Kind of funny that it has a Savers sticker for 7.99 on the back.

A few things today. Lemonade Tycoon, Sim City 3000, and Civilization III: Conquests for $0.50 each.

In the mail, I got an HP Jornada 680 today and a Compaq C120+ yesterday. Both are early Windows CE machines. Jornada was $10, Compaq was $20.

I also found something called "ink blotters". They are what was used to test a fountain pen before ballpoints were introduced. They have a bunch of advertisements for local coal companies on them, and most are pre-WWII or during WWII, with a few slightly after. $0.99 for twenty-two of them. Some of them go for a decent price on eBay, depending on what's on them. Anyone else ever see these?

I didn't have a lot of money to spend this weekend so I kept to the local yard sales instead of traveling to one of the two nearby big cities as I usually do.

First, the non-pictured items:

- iMac (Indigo, 400mhz, woman bought it from the school) & a box of random crap, including a $5 bill and two Netgear wireless routers- $20 (well $15 if you consider the five dollars).
- Two Motorola HD cable boxes - $5 (selling)
- JVC QL-5 turntable - $3 (not the greatest condition but I think I can get a decent amount for it, a QL-7 went for $150+ on eBay recently)
- Two N64 games (I think Crusin' LA and one of those 1080 titles) - $1 each (I always buy cheap games to pair with systems I resell)
- Box of cables - $1 (coax, HDMI, etc - great resell value on those)
- Playboy The Mansion for Xbox - $2
- Red Ninja Xbox - $2
- Third-party PS2 controller - $0.50 (Taking to GameStop)

Now for the picture:

http://i42.tinypic.com/29fpjmf.jpg (http://i42.tinypic.com/29fpjmf.jpg)

- Marantz tape recorder - $3 (worth ~$40 on eBay)
- Doom 3 Collector's Edition Xbox - $5
- Land of the Dead Xbox - $3 (didn't realize this game goes for a decent bit, plan to play it and sell it)
- Mattel Football - $0.50 (missing the battery cover but still valuable)
- Coleco Head to Head Baseball - $1
- Coleco Head to Head Football - $1
- Entex Baseball - $1

If anyone collects the old handheld games and is interested in these, let me know. I also have an Arcade Defender I can throw in.

I hit a HUGE flea market today .

When I first arrived and saw all the people I was overwhelmed yet thought ,I will find a lot here..

...The day of Price Stickers..

I’m not used to getting prices at flea markets via looking at tiny price tags on items,I’m to used to the ask haggle method..
Seems everyone at the place had price stickers on things at ridiculous prices..

4 hours of digging,looking,searching...I find common atari 2600 games all over the place for $5.00 each..

A masking taped up Starpath Supercharger for $15.00..It was just too banged up to bother..I haven’t seen one of these in the wild for a very long time..

three rusty looking common NES games...

Common N64 games $5.00 each

- Marantz tape recorder - $3 (worth ~$40 on eBay)

Nice find! That's the one with the phone input, so you can record calls, right? I got $60 for one a couple years back... did you get the shoulder strap?

That's the Director's Cut. It's apparently not as bad as the original. :P
I've played the Director's Cut with the extra episode, the extra episode is about as long as a flash based game, like 10-20 minutes tops. I don't want to spoil the ending, but the bad guy at the end of the main game looks completely different in the extra episode that was later added on. Think how they changed the look of Jason Voorhees throughout the movies but with no explanation in this game why his appearance changed. After reading so many positive reviews for this it was a major letdown.

There were a few glitches too. I thought I was doing something wrong because I couldn't open the front door in like 20 minutes, it turned out that they just screwed up the hotspot. The doorknob is on the right side of the door, but you have to click on the left side to open it. There was a patch to fix it, but instead of changing the hotspot it just alters the door knob to the other side of the door. Not that bad, except that the animation of the door opening is the same, so it looks like the hinges are on the same side as the door knob. It's been awhile since I've played it but that's the type of stuff that I remember. That and it's kind of like a slide show, you click to advance to different sections of the game, but then you stand in one spot and can pivot around to look at all the pre-made graphics that surround you. I'd expect that from 90's games but not from one that recent. I'd either like a 3rd person type game or a first person where you can actually move freely throughout the environment, or at least provide some animation from one spot to another instead of just cutting to it.

As for the puzzles and story, it's pretty stupid. It feels like it's cookie cutter. I need to make an adventure game, we need to make a location, put in some puzzles, and wrap some type of plot around it so it seems like it makes sense. That's what it felt like when playing it, and it's not that long either. I usually like games where you can't die, but it's a horror type of game and there really should have been a couple of spots where deaths should have been possible. I really just couldn't get into it.

Um, does that gun happen to say 'Colt' on the side of it? Been trying to ID one for a while now...

This one has mic in/out and line in/out so I'm assuming you could use it to record calls.

From my quick research, this was marketed for court clerks and other professions where high quality and portability are needed. The guy I bought it from told me he used it to record himself playing the guitar before he transitioned to a computer.

Sadly, no strap. I was wondering what the screws were for on the side and that explains it.

Ahh... Mine was a touch different... This isn't the one I sold, but it's the same model:

I had no idea they made so many different, yet similiar tape decks.

I went up to the flea markets again on Saturday to pick up a few items I wanted from last week. We hit the outside vendors for a bit but couldn't scare up anything worthwhile so we checked out the indoor vendors.

The first thing I picked up was this...

http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv5/Flashback2012/Public/IMG_1315.jpg

Bleh...sorry for the image sizes. At any rate, the game was $15 and the cardboard box is a little smushed.

There were several other game vendors up there, some of whom had a few things I would have liked to pick up but I was pressed for time and short on money so I passed on all of that. The reason I went up for a second week in a row was because I found a booth that had vintage toys, specifically Fisher Price Little People toys and playsets. I spied this last week.

http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv5/Flashback2012/Public/IMG_1311.jpg

(Again sorry for the size of the photos)
I talked him down from $10 to $6 (actually he talked himself down) and that included the tractor and the Little People...uhhh...person. ;) I was gabbing with the guy while my Goddaughter and her sister played with his toys. I happened to look down at the floor and noticed he had another playset, the Little People house (it kinda looks like the Brady Bunch house :p). I thought about picking it up as I had a friend who had it.

I noticed the girls were messing with something on the bottom rack of the shelf. It was the Little People Parking Garage. I had one when I was a kid and have this memory seared in my head of the day we threw ours out in the trash. I would have gotten it as well but right next to it on the shelf, I saw IT.... @_@

http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv5/Flashback2012/Public/IMG_1312.jpg

The Fisher Price Little People Castle was one of my all time favorite toys as a child. Barring it completely falling to pieces when I touched it, there was NO way I was leaving that flea without that castle. :ass: I asked the guy how much and after a minute or two, we settled on $15 for the barn, the castle, the tractor, and 4 Little People.

http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv5/Flashback2012/Public/IMG_1310.jpg

Apologies again for the big pictures, I can't get Photobucket to play nice with me. :| That said, I am insanely happy to have acquired these items for the girls to play and grow up with like I did. I'm half tempted to go back up and get the house and parking garage (though the garage was a bit beat to hell). After I cleaned them up with half a bottle of 409, I watched the two of them play with those toys till bedtime.

Well since the guy on Craigslist flaked I decided to venture once again into Yongsan to see about finding an American 360. Seemed as though only two guys were selling them. The first guy want about $240 for a 4GB. I laughed and passed. The second guy only wanted $178 so I went with him. had him throw in a converter box for a grand total of $200. He had these cute as a button Little Big Planet minis - one Killzone one, one Uncharted maybe? They were $9 so I passed, but I will see their going rate and I might go back. He did have a US GoW3 Epic Edition that I may buy depending on the price, though mailing that statue back home will be a bitch. Anyways, console and converter box are the only things pictured:
http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e3/Porksta/xbox001.jpg

I also needed a screwdriver to open up the Sega Saturn I messed up. Found a guy selling these kits for $7 each. It has 38 different bits, including a triwing! Now I can mess with my Nintendo things when I get home!
http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e3/Porksta/xbox002.jpg

And that one movie guy still wouldn't budge on his Oldboy Blu-Ray price.

On my way to get Mario 3D Land i stopped at 1/2 price books and found these 4 babies.

All 4 are original FActory Sealed H-Seams and all, one of the reds have a little damage at the top, the other 3 are super clean, probably grade pretty good.

Thanks. Yeah, I figured that much out. I haven't sold many CD's; I only grab em if they obviously look rare. This one was only given out if you pre-ordered it. So even though it's rare it's ass? If so, it'll be the last of them I snag.

CD's are weird. Vinyls are too. I've picked up vinyls before that weren't worth a damn thing but I once picked up a vinyl for a few dollars that I sold for $150ish total (guy in Japan paid $40 to have it securely shipped). I also collect vinyls so I don't really care if it's not worth anything so that helps too.

Today I went and sold, did poorly ($60) but picked up a few interesting things.

Sega CD Model 1, SNES controller, mini PS1, Tetris 2 SNES, Tetris TV game - uncle found all of this at a yard sale, gave him $5.

Deadly Moves for the Genesis CIB - $2
NEC MobilePro 750C Handheld PC - $3

The guy with the above two items also had some PS2's with NA's for $25 each, didn't have enough money on me at the time. Went back later and he was gone. Had planned on offering him $40 for both systems. Oh well. Speaking of which, just noticed a sealed PS2 NA online for a total of $25 including shipping. Man I miss the days when those suckers went for $50 each loose.

It's a sampler CD... those are usually worth jack shit. It also depends on the artist and the fanbase.

People like me might care a bit, but only if I cared about the artist. Which I don't. :p

Thanks. I've figured out you like your CD's and DVD's from this thread's monthly incarnations. So I appreciate your opinion on this one. I'll list it with a low starting price, and maybe avoid the word 'sampler' (it's not on the CD anywhere). Eh, I hope someone like you does like the artist some. I have way too much crap I can't sell lying around as it is :-/

Edit: OK, so it says it's a sampler right on top of the CD. I looked carefully before I listed it, don't point-n-laugh too much.

Things have slowed almost to a halt around here and the past couple of weeks have yielded nothing more than the following:

Gears of War (Limited Edition) for the 360
QuickShot Python 2 joystick for the NES

Never played any of the GoW games before so I'm quite happy with it, and the Python 2 I didn't even know existed, so yay!
