I don't know how I missed this last time I was here...

Um, does that gun happen to say 'Colt' on the side of it? Been trying to ID one for a while now...

http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=156070

I went and checked and the gun doesn’t say Colt on it....I used to collect Pong type systems like crazy years ago, most either went to the DP store or sold on ebay but I have a Sears Pong with a Gun..
I don’t know if the gun is for the pong as there is a Telstar unit in the box with the Pong.

..I have had lots of these type light guns but don’t really remember any of them saying Colt on them but then my dad is a gun collector and I could of swore we picked up a loose light gun at the flea because it said Colt on it..

I come across these old light guns at flea markets and garage sales but I always pass them up....If I find one that says Colt, would you want me to grab it for you,it prob would cost around $5.00 bucks..

I have a rifle similar to yours I will post a pic in your thread.

I love those old calculators. That particular one is worth a good bit too. Nice find.

Not quite sure what makes it so valuable, glad I picked it up though, it was just impulse.

Not quite sure what makes it so valuable, glad I picked it up though, it was just impulse.

I picked one up a few weeks ago at a flea market,it was like less then a buck after estimating what I paid for it within all the rest of the stuff I got for $10.00..I just grabbed it because it was old not knowing a thing about it..

I looked it up on ebay for the heck of it and it was priced between $100.00 and $50.00..Wow,

I listed it and it sat...It eventually sold for $35.00 plus shipping..not bad ..

I also wanted to note that I feel there may be specific collectors of old calculators out there that the prices on these get high because of that..
.
But the buyer of mine wasn't..The buyer tried to use the old calculator like a new calculator and was totally confused-pissed off by it,They refused to read the included instructions ..The buyer was confused on the use of a 9volt battery-said that they tried to put AA batteries in it and it didn't work..:deadhorse:

Flea Market...

Took a quick hunt over at a small towns flea market...nothing game wise that interested me....misc things I actually could of used for motorcycle repair or spare parts I passed up due to lack or waste money funds or I was to lazy to ask..

My dad and I were out on hunt for a Big Stand Up Tool Box,tools and other misc things for my dads new shop before going to the shop...Stopping at garage sales here and there but not finding anything that either of us wanted besides some auto wall signs..

I get a call from my longtime NES collector friend who tells me about a Church friend of his who is Not a collector,he just takes really good care of his stuff that I may be interested in what he has for sale...ok.....Now my old friend who visits the DP store from time to time has led me to some of the best finds in the last 10 years but he hasn’t always led me to things priced ..So many times I’d follow up on a lead and the prices were too outrageous to make a deal....but I am happy that he calls me as again some of the best finds were led to me by him....

He tells me about his friend who’s selling things(I didn’t ask why but it seemed like money issues) that I may want to come see what he has for sale before it goes elsewhere(that I will love this stuff)..I am in so much anticipation @_@ that I tell him to tell the guy to hold the stuff for me knowing it must be good as my friend knows what I look for..

...My dad drove, flew ..to meet my friend and I am thinking pinball machines, arcade machines...maybe even small motorcycles...Not having big bucks to spend I’m going to have to borrow from my dad, then take it out of my own pay bill money to pay for whatever it is..I have no time to get big cash if needed nor do I have it..

We get there and the guy shows me two boxes.....ok,what’s in them.....Both have boxed SNES games..NICE stuff..

I ask price, the guy thinks it over and it seems this guy doesn’t really want to let this stuff go...he walks away.....UGH I’m wasting my time here...,I look at my friend with a funny look thinking, dude does he really want to sell this stuff are you just messing with me,wheres the goof on me camera..

.....The guy explains to me that he has had this stuff for a long time,he’s tied to it and how he’s bought this at the place with this and that part.......

Feeling a bit defeated and wanting to help him out I asked him if he ever tried to sell on the net,he has no net service,I told him has he ever been to the DP store... no..He’s not into games, these are from his past that he’s not a game collector or into games...I wish him the best, hand him a DP store card out of my wallet and go to leave..he pops out with a price of $500.00........................................OUC H..

We all haggle back and forth for an hour talking about these games as he was reminiscing pulling each one out handling them with care..Showing me the actual receipts kept with some of them for what he paid..($69.99 on some of these games.
We strike a deal for less then $500.00..I make the buy asking him several times if he was sure that he was happy with the sale, that if he was sure he wanted to sell them....I may be a buyer seller but I have been a collector for many years and I know how hard it is to let games go..

.He was happy with the sale..I make a nice new friend who is going to call me with other stuff he said he has..

I ask my friend,So what did you buy,He said he bought his NES boxed games but I had no time to look..
..

So I had to borrow from Peter to Pay Paul so these games are going up on ebay one by one ,game and book etc. this week starting tomorrow...

I have yet to fully look at this stuff in pure detail,it’s kept really well and the price stickers are only on the original boxes cellophane paper wrap..

What's even cooler is that you didn't 'douche-out' on the poor guy who obviosly needed the cash and had no idea of how to sell on the internet, gave him some decent coin And made a friend who can spot deals for you in the future.:)

I had a good day with finds. Found some stuff I been looking all over for.

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/car_show_fan/carshows2/November14thfinds.jpg
All but the PS2 game i found at believe it or not a Antique Mall
I was just there to see if any cool antiques were there that i could not live without
The PS2 game I found at Gamestop
It being Shadow of the Colossus. I wanted this game and Ico since I bought my PS2 at good will... I looked all over for it. Well I finally found it. Time to play the hell out of it! I payed 17 bucks for it

Next up the Antique Mall finds.

The power cord is a cord I been looking literally every where for (except for ebay cause I still don't shop ebay). I even went to my favorite vintage game store which has EVERYTHING. Even he doesn't have this cord for sale.
Its a Version 1 Sega Genesis power cord. To go with my V1 sega genesis that I got way back in a bundle deal without a power cord. Finally I found one. Now to see if that friggin thing works once and for all! I paid 3 bucks for it.

The games. Harlem Globetrotters for the NES 3 bucks pretty good shape.
Sonic Spinball for the Genesis loose 3 bucks as well. Alright shape.
and my favorite. Black Bass Lure Fishing SEALED. I was like just looking through and this was just sitting there. beautiful condition. I paid 2 bucks for it.

It's really hard to find original Gameboy games factory sealed in the wild. That makes even the common ones alittle more valuable.

Late start again today. Ugh, Mondays. So much work. And the damn Goodwills have removed the toy section to make room for the Xmas decorations. That helps me none at all. Anyway...

http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/ConneticutLeatherCompany/gkids-9.jpg

The local pawn always helps when they can. $20 for the Xbox (7 days money back, it's good), .99 for Mario Golf as-is, $6 for pokemon dungeon (gift), and they game it all to me for $22 after tax. Meh, I'll do ok on the box, and hopefully the Golf game works. The PC games were all .25 except for King's Quest. It was $4. PJ CD was $1, as was the lens cleaning disc and the geneology program. The anime is for my neighbor, and Reefer Madness... That one's mine :) It's still sealed. Still, nothing like Daryll's finds @_@

I probably over payed for it, but you don't see AF everyday and I got a few good deals under my belt so I thought what the hell and payed $75.

I was going to ask here what AF was going for now but the forums were giving me a "server too busy" error :/ I hope I didn't do to bad.

It's usually around $100 now for a loose cart so it's not bad, at the very least you'll easily be able to get your money back if you wanted to sell it. I'm still kicking myself for passing on a loose copy for $4.99 plus tax several years ago.

If you get it for cheap, so be it, it's good for sale fodder. Otherwise, it's best played in arcades or MAME. As understatement said, no in-game auto-fire and I know it's not as challenging as the arcade original not to mention having a squashed screen as well.

You're correct the scratch figure is the rarest and most valuable non-prototype only toy in the original TMNT line and usually sells in the 200-400 range unless it's slabbed.

Stopped into Wal-Mart to pick up allergy meds and wandered over to the electronics department. They used to have a beat up floor rack of games in the middle of the electronics section stuffed with older titles that were pulled out of the glass cases. I noticed they ditched that and put all the games into a 4-slot wire bin near the main aisle. They must have just done this as all of the games were separated by system in the bins. One of the bins was all PC and I found these two...

http://i664.photobucket.com/albums/vv5/Flashback2012/Public/IMG_1336.jpg

The Fallout: New Vegas was $5 and the Arcania: Gothic 4 was $10. Everything else I either already picked up the last time they slashed the prices or didn't want. I know at one time that location had a CE of World of Warcraft Cataclysm on the shelf for the longest time but that was nowhere to be found.

That's actually a Sludgemobile, its a bad guys vehicle. If I remember correctly, either Bebop, Rocksteady, or a Foot Soldier was shown driving it. Yours isn't quite complete but might still be worth a few bucks.

SNES with no cords $4 each, except one has a chip in the housing, so it was $2. Genesis with no cords, $2. $2 each for the Gameboy games, and the N64 games all came in a bag together for $4. I could see Elmo and Pokemon, but the others were mystery carts. I know mikesides needs Elmo, so I got it. Dreamcast gun was $4. Top Gun was $1. Now I need even more cords than I did yesterday :|

Fable 3 Strategy guide x3
L. A. Noire strategy guide x3
Halo: CE Anniversary(360) free with Amazon credit
Modern Warfare 3(360) $25
Contra 4(DS) $4.98
Sonic 2(DC) $1.50
Super Smash Bros. Melee(GC) $1.50
Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic(Xbox) $5
Star Wars: Republic Commando(Xbox) $5

I now have like four copies of SW: KOTOR. But they are a pretty valuable commodity around here. And I was so glad to find Sonic 2 at the same Goodwill I found the last copy at earlier this year(that copy was missing it's disc). And of course Halo and MW3 are occupying tons of my time. Halo:CE + Kinect=core game success...most of the time.

Secre Vol. 3(FTM) $20
Secre Vol. 4(FTM) $20
Necro Dancer(3DO) $13
The Adjustment Bureau dvd/bluray free in a contest
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia(DS) $14.98

I haven't gotten any adult games lately so I needed a few to make quota for the month. $14.98 is the magic number for Castlevania games because I always seem to find them at that price. The seal on this copy sucks(it's not the Y fold) but I needed this game and probably won't find another copy this cheap so I figured why not.

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr306/THE-1-2-P/GEDC0986.jpg

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11(360) sealed $3
The Simpsons: Road Rage(Xbox) sealed $3
FEAR(360) $3
Gears of War(360) $3
Street Fighter IV(360) $3
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter(360) $3
Rainbow Six: Vegas(360) $3

I got all of the above from Goodwill. They were stacked on top of each other at the counter and I was surprised to find the two sealed ones. I left a few things behind, such as COD 2. To be honest I didn't need any of these but $3 a piece is hard to pass on for current gen games, especially good ones.

Lots of searching today at my regular places found me pretty much nothing. Hit up a dealer who's been in business for over 20 years that I very rarely shop at because of his pricing only to come away with....

http://i655.photobucket.com/albums/uu277/camarotuner13/Photo256.jpg

40 bucks! No AC adapter and a SNES controller not a SFC came with it but after a through cleaning and taking it all apart I'm pretty happy with this one as shipping from Japan alone would have cost me close to 40 dollars. But wow this guy never has anything "normally" priced or imports. Where this came from is beyond me but since no adapter he never could test it and I'll take a small gamble on it.

That is confusing... I bet that system has a cool story of how it got to where it is... if only sfcs could talk...

The Sfc! It talks!...

Anyway that's cool but I was hoping for a cooler story... this was kinda a disappointment now...

Like a japanese kid comes over from japan with his system and fights against diversity and makes friends with a young african american boy. Then the japanese boy's new friend needs money to pay off some drug dealers that somehow blame him for losing a bunch of drugs, even though he had nothing to do with it! So the japanese boy sells off his treasured sfc that his now dead dad gave to him before he left for america so his new best friend would be safe!

I smell summer blockbuster...

Hahaha. I usually get them from ebay. we're located in wind gap, pa about a 20 - 30 minute ride from Allentown. I dont know if you're familiar with the encounter comic book shop or not, but he had pal bootleg famicom that was originally sold from our shop. i sold it to a regular of ours for 10 bucks, and he traded it in there.

I picked these up recently:
Uchuu Keibitai SDF (Space Defending Force) - Famicom
Mighty Final Fight - Famicom
Battletoads / Double Dragon - SNES
Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 Cobi's Journey - GBC
http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/8029/sdfmffbtdddwm2.jpg
I could barely find anything about Uchuu Keibitai SDF online, but I'm glad i ordered a copy as it's a great little vertical shmup from HAL.
Battletoads / Double Dragon and Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 Cobi's Journey were free from an uncle getting rid of some stuff.

So I don't usually post my finds lately out of laziness but I got a damn good find today:

First went to the swap meet on the reservation, I got:
NES Cart + dust cover only:
Final Fantasy
Bomberman
Zelda II gold (oddly the only copy of zelda 2 I've ever found)
$2 each

Kuon PS2 CIB - $2

Boogerman + Donkey Kong Country SNES carts only - $6

Then I went to the other swap meet and didn't find shit until the last row, where at one stand I paid $5 total for:
Sega Saturn system only, no cords
TI-83 Plus calculator
and the best find...
a Game Axe console

The last one sold on eBay for $185. Its a portable Famicom thing, it turns on but I don't have any famicom games to test it. Now I can pay my car insurance.

My Second Pickup.
.. and Flea Market

If you read the story,my big find from last week from the collector, though he says he’s not a collector he sure had enough games to be one.

I gave him a call the a few days later to touch base with him on other things he said he wanted to sell..When I called he said he was just looking through the boxes and started to name a few things in the boxes...One thing I heard him say I thought my ears were deceiving me..The only day we could meet was Sunday, yesterday at 5pm as my friend was to go see him to to get some sealed NES games..I waited all week in anticipation to go get this stuff, the week could not go fast enough yet it did.

Sunday I woke up so early, just excited to go see this stuff.I may no longer collect games in bulk but I still get excited when I get new stuff.

.Sunday sitting around did me no good so I decided to go to a Small Flea market where a friend is selling stuff..and see if I get lucky.

I hit a Garage sale on the way and picked up the Top loader for $25.00..

I get to the Flea Market..

Nothing..I circled that place three times and didn’t find one game..I stop to talk to my friend and he says that he saw someone selling Atari 2600 stuff earlier there,I went to look again and didn’t find anything,Looking deeper on tables I did saw a used Gamecube in box for $15.00 and PS2 games for $8.00 each.

As I’m talking to my friend vendor at the flea, two morons(age18-20) are standing there and putting his prices and him down..(while he was off to the side..They are leaning toward me that the guy sucks, that his prices on games are too high that he’s a bad, just making an outright joke of the guy in front of people..Making a big laugh of it being two asses...

I could not take it anymore so I turned to the guys and said,Look if you can get all that you say you can for a quarter or dollar then go get it,If you can get all that, bring it to me I’ll buy it all from you,I’ll give you my info to contact me..go get it..PISSED
...the two guys stepped back and the ones guys smile dropped,he looked so shocked that someone would tell him off...they left..I hate that crap..they never even did business with my friend before and his prices are not high.

After that I get to talking to a lady vendor shopping who had heard them being so rude.
She was telling me about how her basement was flooded.I asked what did she do with the stuff..

She had actually sold my friend vendor a big box of NES and SNES games for $5.00 because they sat in water..I checked them out and they were salvageable..She noted on a bunch of empty games boxes that she had at her truck that she was going to toss so I asked to take them...I felt so bad taking them as she would take no money for them. I bought an broken Earing holder off her table(just took anything) and handed her $10.00

The Boxes on the lower right of the picture are empties and the flood damaged boxes..

....................
My NES friend was to meet up with me at the flea market and we were to go see the collector guy together but he was fooling around,so I left not wanting to be late..

One thing that we(the collector and I) did talk over was that,he knew the worth price of the things he’s selling –yet does not want to deal with selling things one by one.If he sells it he wants to close his eyes to it and it be gone..I just wanted to make sure as I’m not out to beat anyone, this is not a flea market haggle deal whereas someone bought out a locker and threw everything on the ground.this guy put his heart into this stuff and took care of it..

We made a deal on the items that he was happy with...and I went home..

Kuon is a great game, and extremely overlooked in my opinion. I picked up my copy for GS for like $6 a couple years ago and it was worth every penny the first time I played through.

Well, no CIB EB's for me :|
I dunno if it's just local or everywhere, but Value Village picks one color of tag and sells anything with that color for .99 on Mondays. So, I always try to be there when the doors open on Mondays, durp!

Everything there was .99 each. I'm so sick of messing with GH crap, but at a buck, eh, I'll mess with it.

$7 total for the DS games and DR Mario GBA. $1.50 total for the Thomas DVD's. $3 for Mega Man X7, $2 for the Eye Toy game, $5 for the NIB virus protection, $20 for the PS2, $1 for the 2 SNES games.

And if Daryll wants to trade, I've got an extra PS2 now :p

Thank you so so much..Cornelius..

Yea I have become reluctant to say prices on somethings because many times I've been torn into that I won't sell things for what I got them for,..

I did pay less then It's worth-but with the bulk buy I'd have to estimate really what I paid versus what I paid for other things..Somethings I did overpay for after looking at prices on ebay,..
but I still am in the red with how much I've spent..Baby coming in March,bills..I've spent to much.,I can't even afford to race anymore this season..
One thing I'm happy about is the money I gave the guy is helping him out a lot..

I want to sell this but it will probably be the last thing I list as I honestly don't know what a sellable price would be for it..$500.00 would be sweet, but could I really get that much...
