And I'm not sure, but the Moon Cave game might be "bugged". I finished the level, but when I clicked to go on, it took me back to level 1 again with a score of zero! Not good... so my score currently is from purposefully dying on the last screen of the level :P

It did the same thing to me too hence the low score I had for it.

It seems that I don't have the ability to earn any meseta (I had 2 when I logged on today). I posted a couple of times and it said I exceeded my posts for the day.

Well, I posted late last night, but certainly didn't earn anything for it. Is there any way to reset my count for the day to get credit for the posts I am making now?

Same here, no matter where I post nor the length of the post or anything, it always says I've exceeded my posts for the day. The little Meseta I have is from editing a post.

I am willing to bet that if we are all just patient, this will all be explained to us in detail in the next couple of days. I don't so much care for the way the boards look right now, but this is the first iteration of v3.0, and I'm sure that all the bugs will be worked out and everything will look and work better soon.

Yes, the boards are loading WAY slower now, but that will be fixed in time. I think it is all temporary while the changes are underway.

I have noticed a bunch of random retarded post like one guy quoting another guys question and saying: "I don't know, I'm just making a post to try to get more meseta."

I think there should be an alternative for earning meseta like possibly daily quizzes or more competitions on XBOX LIVE or points per good trade. Just suggestions not demands. I hope it doesn't come off as negative, I think the new changes are going to be good.

Count me as one of the few losers still clinging to the Chronicles theme, it and the other non-SubRed themes don't have any of the new options available by default.

I must be a loser as well because I love the Chronicles theme. All of the signatures and avatars look too colorful and gaudy on the black background of SubRed. I hope I can switch back soon and still have access to all the bells and whistles.

You can't link to off-site storage anymore... however, you can now upload the avatar directly from your computer (so, no more need to upload it first off-site). The idea was to keep the avatar sizes within the size limits (which used to be easy to abuse via off-site linking).

If you read the FAQ you would know that you get about 25 meseta per post per day up to a maximum. After that you can still post, but you will not recieve any more meseta for posting.

I might guess that any posts you entered before they turned the meseta business on still count. So if you posted a few times, then the meseta program was activated, then you would already be over the limit. Thats just a guess though and probably wrong, since it doesnt account for people having negative meseta totals.

Im willing to bet that this will all be working fine in the next couple of days.

You're loading the picture into your personal picture area, not your avatar area.

Also note, avatars can be 100 wide by 150 tall, and 25kb. Personal pictures can be 250 x 250 and 25kb. These specs are posted in your profile in the avatar section.

According to the profile page, it has to be 100 pixels by 150 pixels. The member photo is bigger, maybe you're looking at that?

I'm seeing the new version for the first time right now... It's crazy! It seems totally familiar... yet at the same time... completely mysterious and intriguing.


I do have two issues, though:

1) I can't seem to access the collection pages. If I click on the link to someone's collection, the page loads, but the list is totally empty, and I am told to...
"Behold! The mighty collection of !"

2) Maybe it's just my connection tonight, but the forum seems much slower than the previous version.

Because i'm pretty sure once people start buying a lot of items it's going to take a lot of room. Only the first four items in a person's inventory will be displayed with their posts, so the room taken up by them is very limited. To see the rest of a person's collection, you will need to click "Items."

It's not the forum software, it's the bandwidth being eaten up by 100+ members simultaneously downloading the flash games! I'm surprised the server has held up so well. The traffic will die down in a few days and we'll see where things stand. The forum speed is as good as if not better than ever, as witnessed in our test domain before installing it here today.

Like most change, it will take a little adjusting, a little getting used to... but one day soon you won't remember what the forums were like BEFORE this.

Let's see. I too don't like the font at all. Verdana is soooo um.. cliché. Go back to Arial.

10 times within a 24 hour period are meseta-generating. After that they're just regular posts until the 24 hours has passed.

Bear with us as we tweak the changes. This CAN and probably WILL change but it's important that the system doesn't get abused by +1 nonsense.

That isn't possible. It counts the number of posts for your user ID, checks 24 hours ago, and if the number is 11 or more greater, no meseta.

Let's remember something. It's not all about the meseta, folks. We got by just fine for years without that feature. Take it slow and have fun but don't be all grubby meseta whores.

@Kaine: have you played any game in the game room? These cost 1 meseta per game (just like a virtual arcade token). If you did, then your meseta count would have decreased a bit, depending on how many games you've played.

Seconded. That's mighty irritating, If one has to wait a full 24 hours between posting to earn any meseta. If anything, that is going to drive folks away from posting at all. I also agree that the font is bigger. It's funny what sylentwulf was saying, because I feel the same way about it looking 640x480 all of a sudden. And I guess this font is more 'squashed' than the onld one, because everything looks flatter.
