34 more to go, if i counted right:

http://videogamecollectors.com/gallery/album311

any rare titles which are hard to get?

Nice collection. I like the Pathway to Glory Preview and Flo Boarding. some other hard to get games are Sega Rally (released in Australia?) and Rifts: Promise of Power signed copy (I now have 3, :D ). Usually, the last few retail releases seem to be the most difficult to find - Glimmerati and Xanadu Next are two that come to mind. The releases after that, which were available directly from Nokia Let's Talk, all the way through the last release, WarHammer, are all still pretty much available at their website.

Promos, previews, and kiosk demos can be hard to find. If you ever decide to part with yours, please let us know first! :)

Student loan to purchase 12 NFR games? How much are you being charged for them? Hopefully not too much. The reason I say is there is a guy on ebay selling a lot of 15 of these for like $20 BIN, and he has multiple lots of the same games. Here is the link if you are interested:

LINK (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140072529540&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RCRX_BIN_IT&refitem=140067552343&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget)

That was the thing I was talking about. I had like $8 in my bank account. I actually got the money, bid on it and won it, which is awesome.

I also got a couple games from letstalk:

Rifts (signed version)
Pathway to Glory: Ikusa Islands

That means that counting Sega Rally, I have 4 more to go, hurray!

You saw the auction, I don't know much about NFR games, do you think all of these would be full versions?

Wow thanks for the auction link. It seems I missed out on the Tomb raider Preview. He was selling lots of 15 but by the time I noticed he was selling lots of 14. That is definitely cheap. I've seen people wanting that much for one game.

I was wondering if anyone knows how much a Pocket Kingdoms Beta would be worth? I even have the Tshirt to go with it!

By full versions do you mean with case and instructions? If so, no they are only the game cards. I am trying to figure out if there ever was anything else included with these early NFS games. So far it appears not.

I am not even sure if Tomb Raider was a NFS version of the game. The Pandemonium, WWE Aftershock and Tomb Raider game cards all look like the retail versions of the game. There is no NFS stamp on them and they have the Nokia hologram sticker on the side, as opposed to the other NFS game cards included which simply have a white bar running on the side where the holo-sticker should be.

Can you post a pic of the Pocket Kingdoms Beta and Tshirt?

so if and when you catalogue them, do you use the serial # on the spine of the cover-box or the serial # from the MMC (too small to read atually)?
personally I use the serial from the spine. 92..... 93......

Does anybody know where you can still buy an n-gage? I remember EBGames used to have them for $99, but now the only places that seem to carry them are online and charge closer to $150

when i started gathering the early release NFR games the clerks at EB and gamestop said the Ngage rep just had a plastic bag full of NFR carts. they never got boxes or manuals, until WWE and (another but i forget which) where the rep just gave out sealed copies of retail releases.

so i downloaded the n-gage torrent (complete releases, 65 games), and they have 3 games:
Barakel (Zelda type game)
Sango (Japanese Zelda type game)
Xyanide (Excellent shooter)

any info on these?
Country specific releases perhaps?

Also, N-Gage forum lists a new game coming: Creatures of the Deep

Steve W
01-21-2007, 06:40 PM
I know that Xyanide started out originally for the N-Gage and the developer decided to instead make it work on all Symbian 60 phones, so I'm guessing that the other two titles are both Symbian OS games and not N-Gage specific.

Oh yes, collecting for n-gage is exciting.

I just bought x-men 2 and civilization from letstalk for 14.99 a piece.

That means that I only have 1 more game to go, and then I have a complete ntsc n-gage collection (mile high pinball).

if any of u have an extra, complete copy, let me know, because it is the last ntsc game that i need now.

What happened to the n-gage games on letstalk.com? Just two weeks ago, I was able to go to n-gage.com and buy n-gage games from letstalk.com via an interface that looked like the normal n-gage.com site. They had most of the later released (and some older ones) in stock.

Now, n-gage.com links to letstalk.com and it brings up the letstalk.com homepage with no mention of the n-gage (and the search function doesn't even bring up any n-gage games). Does anyone know what's up?

tom
01-27-2007, 07:26 AM
So the later games are more available in the USA as a download, but here in Europe they come on a MMC card?

Also, anyone know how to keep the light on during gameplay on the original N-Gage?
Some games have this feature built in, but not all. Is there another option?

SegaAges
01-29-2007, 11:57 PM
Wow, I should have ordered Mile High Pinball while I had the chance. I e-mailed letstalk to see what they say, but I can't get to anything on letstalk about n-gage either.

If letstalk did get rid of all n-gage products, then i would be willing to pay one of you collectors very well for a new copy of mile high pinball, since there may be a chance that I can't get it from letstalk. If it comes to that, I assure you that it would be worth your while.

Well, I got this info from another german buddy, Windowskiller:

Barakel was written for the Spanish release of the QD, and comes/ came bundled with 'the making of Blade' (movie) on one MMC.

The same people also wrote Techwars and Freestyle, to be bundled with other QD releases.

Here's a Spanish deal:
http://www.game.es/ficha/ficha.asp?sku=036030&ati=a2sa11as44s
This MMC features Snakes, Techwars, and Underworld (the whole movie).

The same company also sold a QD/Freestyle edition, but it is sold out (as is the Barakel edition).

As for these, I d/l from a torrent, as they are not on cart (someone claims to have the Virtual Cop cart, but cannot confirm):
Maybe the Chinese game, Sango is on a MMC card, but we are still searching.

I'm not sure if that applies to the early NFS games as well, but the color bar on the right side of the MMC's label can tell you what should be included along with the MMC:

yellow = Gold Master Review Kit. With case and a mini-DVD. No manual.
orange = Preview copy. Just the MMC and a copy of the press release.
green = Point-of-Sale version (for shops to let people play the game before buying), MMC only

(sorry if that was already posted earlier, I haven't read the whole thread)

I did manage to see a "For Display Only" version of Tomb Raider, and won it on ebay. It's on the way from Australia. I'll post a picture of it when I get it.
Those are empty boxes only. Don't expect to find an MMC inside. ;)

So I finished my QD Collection for ntsc games.

It is the very first system that I own all the games for a specific region for. I did have a cool idea of busting out my photo printer to print out case-linings (or whatever they are called) for alien front and virtua cop (seeing as I have 4 extra n-gage games that are still sealed).

And the spanish people get cool stuff with their n-gage. All I got for both of my n-gage's were 32mb mmc cards, but the spanish get underworld on a mmc. that is pretty awesome.

Anybody know where I might be able to get a complete copy of Sega Rally. There used to be someone on eBay selling them all the time, but I missed my chance for it.

I also need another mmc card (one of mine I am using for midi ringtones for my phone). anybody got another cheap mmc card they are willing to part with.

Let me know. I found that I now have a bunch of sealed games that I haven't even played yet for n-gage since I just kept ordering them so fast.

Oh yeah, anybody have pictures of the cover art for alien front and virtua cop or know where I can find them?

Hello N-Gage collectors!

I recently put this N-Gage Games Database (http://www.consolecity.com/games.php/system_id-38/start-0/limit-25/region_array-a%3A0%3A%7B%7D/sort-title.html) together, and I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss any US released titles and also that I didn't miss any non-US exlusive releases.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

This game sucks by the way... I can see why it got a limited release. The N-gage could certainly have handled something similar to the Saturn port (except the horizontal orientation, dammit) but it's even worse that the shite GBA version.

There should be a way to replace the cover. I know that when the QD came out, there were a bunch of different colored replacement faceplates you could get. I wish I had picked up some when they were still out (which didn't seem like all that long). I loaned my QD to my brother after he broke his phone, and he scratched the plastic over the screen up.

Well, a give-away for journalists only. It's not only an mp3 player. Among other features, it's also a usb memory stick and is filled with about 250 MB of assets from games that were shown at the E3 2006. Even from those that didn't see a release in the end.

I just won Civilization on ebay, Euro 22.50.
My most expensive N-Gage title yet, even my Asphalt Demo box was cheaper.
Glad I got it though, 9 titles left for completion:

Looks like Atari Masterpieces II will be the most difficult to find, I haven't seen it on ebay once yet.
NCAA is second difficult.
Puyo Pop and One are also very seldom on ebay.
Mile High pinball, Rayman3, Requiem of Hell, System Rush, TCSC: Chaos are on ebay right now, so no problem there.

and thats it then.

I think Glimmerati is the hardest one to find. At least for me, as I only collect sealed German releases (I want to have all games from the same Region). I've got the German release but not sealed.

Apart from that, only about 20 games missing currently before my collection of sealed games is complete. :)

tom
03-31-2007, 04:14 PM
How many German releases where there? Same as UK? Or less?

I have to say most of my N-Gage titles arrived sealed, but I always open them. Don't see a point of keeping games sealed, how you gonna read the instruction book?

WindowsKiller
03-31-2007, 04:22 PM
All games were released in Germany, apart from NCAA and Sega Rally.

I normally don't care about sealed games as well. I try to get games sealed if possible but always open them. However, the N-Gage is one of the few systems where you don't need any special equipment to play backups, and sealed games are widely available and don't cost more than used games. So I rather get the games sealed and use backups to play.

ps: I never read the instructions of games. ;)

Hello Official NGAGE collectors thread.... I know this is not the right place to post this question but I figured it would be the best place. I recently acquired an ngage QD and a ton of games from a friend of a friend. Two of those games included were the NOT FOR RESALE generic labels with the versions on them. I am going to resell this lot on ebay as I was not a huge fan of the system or games. Are these "Not for Resale" Games something sought after by the ngage community or should I just toss them in my ebay lot so some random can get them. By the way the games are Rayman 3 and Red Faction.
What does the mighty thread think?

WindowsKiller
04-02-2007, 04:55 AM
Hard to say, as there are a lot of different "Not for Sale" versions. Most important is the color code of the label. If it's green, then it's a Point-of-Sale demo, which is actually identical to the retail version. Those aren't that special. Yellow means Gold Master, not worth much if it's the MMC only with the Review Kit missing. Orange ones are probably worth most, as these are preview versions and most of them are betas.

Yellow means Gold Master, not worth much if it's the MMC only with the Review Kit missing. Orange ones are probably worth most, as these are preview versions and most of them are betas.
Mine are the Yellow with no review kit. Thanks for the info. I guess I will just toss them in with the rest of the ebay lot.

My Asphalt Urban GT Promo box has a white label.

My Pathway to Glory Preview is also white.

The color code applies to MMCs with generic labels only (black text on white background, color bar on the right). All MMCs with retail-like labels and "Not for Sale" written on them are Point-of-Sale versions.

Ok thanks. I know they arent really worth anything but I always wondered about that color coding deal.

Yeah, I got a bunch of them from a eBay auction (and the person is still selling them).

I got the color thing somewhere saying what all the colors are. There is yellow, orange and green. There may be one more, but I can't remember off of teh top of my head.

They are basically where the Nokia silver hologram sticker/seal of authenticity should be, just like on your retail releases.

HinterWars is available for quite a while now. I've downloaded it from the developer's website back in December 2006, but I can't even try it, as I can't go online with my N-Gage.

As for Creatures of the Deep, I don't see any downloads for this one. :eek 2: Always wondered why this game takes so long to get finished...

Yes, annoying that, I don't go online with my N-Gage.

I purchased Payroll for Euro 9.99. They send me the code. I put in the code and a message comes up saying: as an anti-piracy measure you now gotta go online with the N-Gage and register, only then you can play the game.

So I paid full price for a game I cannot play, as they don't provide an easier method to register even if you have your code (which basically should be enough). I complained, I even instructed my CC company to get my money back. They couldn't get it back, as the Payroll people say I got my code alright.

So to all people who don't go online with the N-Gage: Don't buy Payroll, it won't work.
Go to the torrent and d/l the full version instead.

Hehe, I guess you mean Payload. ;)

Just got this:

Anyone knows if the game leaked to the internet so far? I know there was at least one playable prototype at E3 2003 (or maybe 2004?).
