i picked up a saturn a few weeks ago from a local flea market. last weekend i found an action replay at the local mom and pop game shop...now im going crazy buying weird games that scare my room mate. i need to get one of the action replays with built in ram. because i bought king of fighters 95 but cant play it because the action replay i have doesnt have it built in :(.

They have had it on sale at $12.90 (http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-ir-49-en-70-1pfi.html) (plus $3.40 shipping) for a while and still have it in stock so if you are a fan of this genre I recommend buying it.

I especially love the modifiers (shown in image 2 above). One of them (Random Velocity) will have the arrows moving slowly then suddenly they will spread out in slow motion then blast upwards at a very fast speed then slow back down, etc.

If you liked Military Madness (aka Nectaris) on Turbografx/PCE then you'll dig Earth Light. The game play is very similar, but Earth Light has cute character designs unlike Nectaris. Here's a great page about the game:

Thanks for the link. I got it on the cheap side and knew nothing about it beyond it looking good. As I've been busy with work, havent had time to even test any of the games I got let alone play them long enough to form an opinion.

I received a copy of Vatlva for the Japanese Saturn in a trade with DP member MonoTekETeA. It's sort of a cross between Super Sprint and Twisted Metal, although it reminds me a racing 2D shooter. Lots of fun.

I listed this in the finds thread but I just started playing my copy of Dragon Ball Z: Hyper Dimension. I haven't seen one of these for awhile but I got it on craigs list with an adapter and Super Castlevania 4 all for $20. I tested it today and it plays great. The graphics are very unbelievable for a Super Famicom title.

Got the Japanese version of Zelda: LTTP at an auction today. Tested it in my SNES that I got from the SAME auction, and it works! Too bad I can't read Japanese text. :(

Gradius 2 CIB! I don't usually find any imports where I live but got this from a previous collector on craig's list. After a grueling session, I have now completed the first 4 Gradius games. I don't know about everybody else, but I found this one to be by far the hardest. Now I just need the 5th installment, which I hear was handled nicely by Treasure.

After playing through the first stage and a half, I can definately call this one of Treasure's best. (definately better than Working Design's version)
Also, Play-Asia is absolutely excellent with their used stuff. This thing looks like it was opened and then stuck in a wrapper without ever being played.

Neo Geo Pad 2 for PS1/PS2--I kind of stumbled upon this by accident and got a really good price on it. It's a factory sealed copy and is in a box roughly the size of a Neo Geo cartridge box. I'm not sure if I should sell it or put it next to my 2 factory sealed Sega Saturn PS1/PS2 controllers.

As promised, the Japanese import version of the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and a freeloader to play it with. I love import convertors. They are the second best thing about import gaming, followed by the actual games themselves.

Mach Go Go Go for the original Gameboy. This thing is super small, even compared to US Gameboy boxed games. But I heard it was rare. Hopefully it's not as bad as the Snes version of Speed Racer.

A friend of mine in Japan got a PS3 for Christmas, so he sent me his Ceramic White Slim PS2 with matching controllers and memory card. Now I don't have to use my blasted flip top fat PS2 for imports anymore. Yay!

Finally took some pics of my other big lots. First is two lots of Super Famicom games -- 252 games combined, ~$65 shipped. Everybody was asleep at the bid button over the Christmas/New Years period on Yahoo Auctions, I think...

I'm still sorting the games, and there's tons of dups and generic sports titles, but still a fair amount of goodness in the lot. I'd guess around 170 unique games in total.

While I'm not at home to take pics, but I recently got a Hello Kitty Dreamcast & keyboard, D2, three Shiawase Usagi games (PCE), Cho Aniki (PS2), Blaze & Blade (PS1), Suchi Pai (3DO), a couple cib Famicom games I can't think of off the top of my head, Esper Dream & High School Tokimeki (FDS), Mercurius Pretty (DC), Tales of the World Summoner's Lineage (GBA), and prolly a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. :D
