I picked up a copy of Chou-jikuu Yousai Macross for PS2 off of GaijinPunch here on the DP forum. I'm a big Macross fan and this is my first PS2 import.

Now to get one of those JPN slimlines (ceramic white) off of Play-asia.com and I'm good to go for PS2 importing!

Most recent import was a Sega Virtua Stick for Sega Saturn, the kind with the green buttons and the good joy. Boxed and complete. I also got 11 complete besides spinecards common Saturn title from the same seller. All in all it put me back $74 shipped EMS from Japan. I'm very happy with everything I got.

Heh, the "fat guy" is Doraemon! Alien robot thing, I think.

The bottom left cartridge is Altered Beast. I'm pretty sure I've seen the top right and the second from top on the left games, but the names escape me at the moment...

Anyway, my latest import? Would have to think back a bit...well, I WILL be getting Mid-Garts for X68k in a few days, and I recently got most all my X68000 lot from Japan. I also got Elevator Action Returns for Saturn, good stuff.

I picked up three Oekaki/Picture Puzzle/Picross style games for the DS

DS Puzzler: NumPlay Fan & Oekaki Logic
Puzzle Series Vol. 6: Illust Logic
Simple DS Series Vol. 7: The Illustration Puzzle & Number Puzzle

DS Puzzler is a mix of Sudoku and Picross levels and I have been playing the Picross levels daily. The menu took a bit of trial and error, but I was able to get a saved game going and even flip the screen for my left handedness. The game also has both color and monochrome puzzles.

I played Puzzle Series Vol. 6 as well, but prefer DS Puzzler and am going through it first. I haven't tried Simple DS vol 7 yet.

Anyway, if you like picross style games I'd get DS Puzzler it's pretty cheap right now on play asia!

Cheers,
Ben

So my copy of Jump! Ultimate Stars got lost in the mail last month on its way from Yesasia.com. I guess it was just too small of a package coming airmail during heightened volumes of shipping from the Christmas holiday, but going by the tracking number it didn't even reach the United States. Well they sent me another one which I received today.

For JP PSX:

DonPachi Reprint complete without spine ($22 shipped from Japan).
Salamander Deluxe Pack complete without spine ($65 shipped).
Gradius Deluxe Pack complete without spine ($45 shipped).

For JP Megadrive (Genesis):

Midnight Resistance complete.
The Super Shinobi II complete (Shinobi III in the west).

Both of those MD games together cost me $60 shipped from the U.K.

First, I know NO japanese aside from a few basic words I picked up in sushi bars over the years. Hope these older releases are ok to list... they're new to me <smile>

Dragon Quest VII PSX NTSC-JP is perfect with warranty and spine cards. White on left side of case in picture must be from lighting, it's clean. Good deal, and thought it might help me learn Japanese in the future (I have US version)... and that it would just be nice to have AN import LOL It arrived after the following:

Dead or Alive PSX NTSC-JP is another perfect.. but lacking spine card. Has input skills and controller operation foldouts, plus manual. Dunno why but I think it plays better than my cruddy (condition) US release version = )

Tekken 3, PSX NTSC-JP has a few very faint scratches, with perfect manual. Slim case has a very small crack. No spine card nor other paperwork.

Street Fighter Zero3 PSX NTSC-JP a few very faint scratches, with perfect warranty card, new release information sheet, and manual. Unfortunately no spine card...

DOA, T3, and SFZ3 deal also included a Tekken 3 guide with memory card stickers intact... for $7 shipped. I didn't have a US DOA at the time, the price was right, and so I grabbed the deal.

Been ages since I posted here last. Anyway, my last imports were...

Metal Slug (Ps2) - The 3D version that never came out in the Us. Plays like a psone game, if you know what I mean. It's hurt by the lack of free aim, forcing you to use a rather lame auto aim. Still, it's not a complete loss. It has it's moments.

Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jitan (Ds) - Japanese dictionary software for the DS. Supports touch screen support that allows you to look up Kanji via writing them. You can even play some Game and Watch games. Pretty cool.

Haven't posted in a while -- here's the highlights of what I've bought recently. (All for PS)

Kitchen Panic: One of the best platformers I've played since Ganbare Goemon Space Pirate Akogingu! It's so colorful and cute. You play as a potato who has to fight against the canned goods that have taken over the kitchen.

DonPachi (original print): Total classic. The voices aren't as good as the arcade, but the music has been arranged and sounds excellent. Has to be played in tate mode, since both yoko modes have really strange scrolling that makes you run into bullets.

Two-Ten Kaku: This game is crazy hard. I can get pretty far without dying in DonPachi games, but I have to use a few continues to beat the first boss in this game. I think this will become one of my favorites.

Yea it is fun, it reminds me of a cross between chrono trigger and snes ff in terms of gameplay and art design/maps etc.

I especialy like the stat screens and character growth, its in depth but also basic at the same time.

The only thing I dislike is the exploring part because the characters heads are a tad on the cute oversized variety. Otherwise its a fairly solid rpg.

Hmm now that I think about it, it reminds me a bit of golden sun also.

Be careful. It is impossible to erase player data, so it becomes near useless if it has been beaten. It isn't really worth it IMHO. Miyamoto and Co. really improved it immensely when they used it for the US SMB2 On the flip side, I wholeheartedly recommend the real Jp SMB2.

Maybe Vs. Excitebike [Disk]

DO IT. Worth the cash if you are an Excitebike fan. The splt-screen 2p simultaneous mode is awesome.

Mario 3D Hot rally (if I can find it - RARE) [Disk]

Not really rare if you look on eBay. There is only one 3D Hot Rally, and it is the Mario one. I got it for $5. Nice 3D racer in the vein of Rad Racer.
